Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Energy Transmission

Although the powerful claw form of the Circular Arm proved effective against Gatanjeer's tentacles, the seemingly endless supply of tentacles rendered Chen Yu's efforts futile.

One after another, Chen Yu relentlessly attacked, breaking Gatanjeer's tentacles, only for more to emerge from the depths.

In the Victory Team headquarters, as the Ultraman finally managed to inflict substantial damage on Gatanjeer, there was a collective sigh of relief. As long as they could deal damage, there was a chance to defeat the adversary.

However, as time passed, they realized that Gatanjeer's tentacles showed no signs of diminishing. They seemed to regenerate endlessly, emerging relentlessly from the sea floor.

"This can't go on like this," Zong Fang said with a grave expression, observing the battle on the screen. "Based on Ultraman's past battles, his stamina is limited. If we can't defeat Gatanjeer quickly, his stamina will be depleted by these tentacles."

"Ultraman's energy is likely linked to his stamina," Ye Rui analyzed. "If we can keep his energy levels up, perhaps we can extend his stamina."

"If only Ultraman and Ultraman Tiga were here together, maybe it would be easier to deal with this guy," Shinjo sighed, looking towards the hall's entrance.

Through the course of the battle, Chen Yu realized that his transformed state had no time limit, although it was subject to energy consumption. Only when his energy was depleted would he revert to his normal state, aside from being disintegrated.

Engaged in a battle of attrition with Gatanjeer, Chen Yu felt the adversary's intent to wear him down by exploiting its seemingly limitless tentacles.

Realizing the adversary's strategy, Chen Yu refused to fall into the trap. He retreated and transformed into his Sky Mode, wielding the Circular Arm in its Sky Bow configuration.

With a swift motion, Chen Yu soared into the sky, beyond the reach of Gatanjeer's tentacles. Enraged, Gatanjeer unleashed a roar, stirring up massive waves.

However, the waves could not reach Chen Yu in the sky. Understanding his role was to delay Gatanjeer and prevent it from releasing its black mist, Chen Yu remained calm.

He harassed Gatanjeer with arrows of light from his Sky Bow, although they didn't seem to cause much harm. Irritated, Gatanjeer launched its tentacles towards the sky, but Chen Yu easily evaded them with his Sky Mode's speed.

Observing the battle, the members of the Victory Team realized the significance of Chen Yu's aerial maneuvers in buying them time. Ye Rui explained that flying consumed minimal energy for Ultraman, allowing him to capitalize on his speed advantage.

As time passed, the tension in the Victory Team's headquarters remained palpable. Yet, they held onto hope, knowing that every moment bought was crucial for Professor Masaki's efforts to create the energy transmission device.

Finally, as the doors of the hall opened, Professor Masaki emerged, visibly exhausted but triumphant. "It's done!" he announced breathlessly.

"Although the Mages power system is not yet perfect, thanks to Professor Masaki's efforts, the energy docking has been completed. It can be put into use now!" Dr. Hachioji added, smiling.

However, Professor Masaki's expression turned puzzled as he looked at the screen. "Has Tiga been revived?" he exclaimed. "No, that's not Tiga!"

"It's Chen Yu," explained Hui, "He's battling Gatanjeer to prevent it from releasing its black mist while you were in the lab."

Faced with this revelation, Professor Masaki struggled to find words, his emotions complicated. He couldn't help but wonder why Chen Yu, the one who released the Dark Dominator, now had the power of an Ultraman.

In the lab, Professor Masaki had seen the video of Tiga's first revival and discovered that it was revived by the Victory Team member Daigo.

Now, with two people capable of transforming into Ultraman, he couldn't help but feel frustrated at why the light hadn't chosen him.

"Are you alright, Professor Masaki?" Dr. Hachioji asked, noticing his troubled expression.

"I'm fine," Professor Masaki shook his head, "Just feeling a bit... unfair. But we mustn't delay. Let's transmit the light energy to Tiga first."

...

The entire TPC sprang into action after Professor Masaki completed the energy transmission device. Under the escort of various armored vehicles, the energy transmission device was delivered to the location where Tiga had fallen.

Victory Team members wielding antimatter wave guns cleared the surrounding black mist.

A transport vehicle positioned the energy transmission device in front of Tiga's timer, aligning its light emission port with Tiga's timer.

Standing beside the energy transmission device, the Victory Team members waited silently, anticipating the miracle to unfold.
