Chapter 5 - Sixth Kah'ik's Diary

[Nether Lord system booting]

[Current location: Aetheria, Hallow Mountain]

[Host status: Near Death]

[Current Goal: Survive]

[Overall Goal: Eliminate the seventh finger General]

Those were the last things Louis saw while his consciousness drifted away. He could hear the desperate calls of the old man getting lost in the background as he slowly shut his eyes and fell into a blissful slumber.

Ding!

[The Nether Lord devised a system to guide his son and aid in the awakening of his true bloodline power over time.]

Even in the darkness of his slumber, strange words appeared, leaving him confused. Wasn't he meant to be the son of the former sixth Kahi'k, so why was he referred to as the son of the demon lord?

[Name: Sol Ark]

[Races: Nether/Ark/Warlock]

[Status: Immortal blood shattering seal active]

[Exp: 000]

Sol slowly opened his eyes, his joints feeling sore and his lips dry. He groaned while he tried to move his hands and to his surprise, they moved.

Flinging the sheets off him, Sol slowly sat up, revealing his body frame. The original owner of this body had been unconscious for a while, and the effect of the seal on his health was disastrous.

Sol suspected the original owner of the body must have died the very night he took over the body. However, what bothered him the most about this was that he didn't know why he was there.

He felt like he was specifically picked out and sent here for a purpose, but he was having a hard time finding out why.

"I don't think it's advisable to walk just now." Sol frowned as he looked at his feeble legs. It was clear he needed some more time to recover and regain his lost health.

Reluctantly, Sol returned to the bed and covered himself with the sheets. The current goal given to him by the system was to survive so he would just do that and see what happens from there.

Clank.

The door opened, and the other old man walked in with a maid carrying a bowl of warm water and some towels. Seeing Sol looking up to the ceiling, excitement spread across their faces as they hurried over.

Before they could reach the bed, Sol casually raised his hand and gestured at them to stop.

"My body has become weak. I need good food and rest to recover, can you do that?" Sol asked with a raised eyebrow.

It made Sol remember back on earth when he would assign a task to his employees and use that final line on them.

"Of course!" The old man felt re-energized. "I Chamberlain will not disappoint you!"

The old man said before dashing out of the room, leaving behind Sol and the maid.

'He didn't even ask me what I wanted to eat.' Sol felt like facepalming.

For the next month, Sol focused on eating anything and everything brought his way. He even drank a glass of moon rock water every day and according to old man Chamberlain it would aid in the hastening of his recovery.

After a month of this, Sol's body had fully recovered and his lost strength was recovered.  During this time, he had tried to learn as much as he could about this world and the events regarding his parents, and he found it.

In the study room of the deceased sixth tribe Kahi'k, Sol found a diary belonging to his father. Initially, he believed the man was a brute who forcefully took away the daughter of the witch/warlock race, but he couldn't be more wrong.

According to the diary, the sixth tribe Kahi'k, and the daughter of the sorcerer supreme were involved not just physically, but they also shared the same goals. The two were investigating the chaos that was taking place in Hallow Mountain.

In the past few months, numerous parties that left Aetheria never returned.  The sixth tribe Kahi'k and the daughter of the sorcerer supreme had lost people close to them, so they personally got involved.

While investigating, they came across dried corpses, but what felt strange about these bodies was that they looked like their souls had been forcefully extracted.

They continued their investigation which led them to what seemed like a gate somewhere in the hallow mountain that looked like Bashomon but old and in ruins, but strangely it was activated.

Curious, the two ventured in and soon found themselves in the nether realm, where they were captured by nether beings and taken to the Nether lord.

According to the sixth Kahi'k, the Nether realm had the six finger generals, who served as the enforcers of the Nether lord. However, a seventh-finger general emerged, rising in strength with an ability that left everyone shivering.

It could extract the souls of its victims and consume them, improving itself rapidly, and that's how this normal demon was able to rise in strength so fast. According to the nether Lord, it turned out that this new threat was planning to take control of other supernatural races and make them his forces.

He planned to force his way into Aetheria and open Bashomon, which was the gate that separated the realms. If it was allowed to succeed, the realms would merge, and the world would fall into chaos.

The Nether lord couldn't break its pact with the heavens and step outside the nether realm. The Kahi'k and others were strong, but based on bloodline they were beneath the nether realm beings.

To bypass this, the Nether Lord had another plan. He took hold of the daughter of the sorcerer supreme and forced himself on her. He sent the two out of the Nether realm, claiming that his son would save Hallow Mountain from the chaos about to ensue.

The two left dejected, traumatized by what happened. Sol's mother contemplated taking her life after what happened, but the sixth tribe Kahi'k stopped her and took her in.

He felt guilty about what happened to her and not being able to help. He went against the laws of the supernatural world and made Sol's mother his wife, even when everyone kicked against it.

They hid the events of that day from everyone else and raised Sol together after he was born.
