Essence of the Imperator

●With this Essence you gain the power of an Imperator, a divine embodiment of some set of concepts (usually between 1-5)

●Create your Imperator according to either 2e or 3e rules, and your character's powers (and weaknesses) will work according to the mechanics of that edition.

●You can gain the Immortality Gift for free.

●You and your Estates are one, and they cannot be taken or leave upon death.

●Your Estates are strengthened against metaphysical attacks, making them much harder to undermine, even by a Riding of Excrucians

●Create your own Chancel according to the rules of your chosen edition, without needing to sacrifice human souls or kill Actuals.

●If you picked 2e you get an automatic level 5 rank in the Realm attribute.

●If you picked 3e , you gain an automatic level 5 rank in the Domain of "Things of My Chancel".

●Your Chancel is strengthened against attack and infiltration, making even scores of Warmains hard-pressed to cross the boundary.

●You may, if you desire, lend power over your Estates to a family of Nobles of your choosing, who will serve and defend you and your Chancel until you withdraw the Estate from them. This process is not fatal unless you wish it so, nor do you yourself lose the ability to use your own Estates while they have them. If you die or your estate is destroyed however, these Nobles will die.

●You gain the ability to travel to and around the World Tree and the rest of the Nobilis universe. Beware the Excrucians though.

●You carry self-contained instances of your Estates with you, even to worlds or universes that do not possess them.

Essence of the Nobilis

●With this essence you gain the power of a Noble, a defender of one or more abstract concept.

●Create your character according to either 2e or 3e rules, and your character's powers (and weaknesses) will work according to the mechanics of that edition.

●You can gain the Immortality Gift for free.

●You have no Imperator, and so the death of one sharing your estate cannot stop you from using your estate or destroy it.

●Your estate is fused to you permanently and cannot be taken or leave upon death.

●Your estate is strengthened against metaphysical attacks, making it much harder to undermine, even by a Riding of Excrucians.

●Create your own Chancel according to the rules of your chosen edition, without needing to sacrifice human souls or kill Actuals. Your Chancel is strengthened against attack and infiltration, making even scores of Warmains hard-pressed to cross the boundary

●You have a one-time choice to lessen or remove the chances of causing dementia animus; without it mortals will be able to see you use your powers without going mad

●You gain the ability to travel to and around the World Tree and the rest of the Nobilis universe. Beware the Excrucians though.

●You carry a self-contained instance of your Estate with you, even to worlds or universes that do not possess it.

Essence of Memetic Prep-time

 This just tastes like black gooey ink… and lots of cheese. And maybe some vengeance.

•You gain godly analysis and research skills. Spending a minuscule amount of time to analyze or research, even just thinking about something, will allow you to come up with a counter and gain information on anything ranging from unsolvable crimes to Eldritch beings in mere moments.

•Experiments always seem to give the information you want to gain within one test.

•You gain supreme adaptability, you can adapt and learn from any tactic, strategy or fighting style etc used against you.

•You gain great talent in creating tactics and strategies that account for every variable in play, you can even create imaginary variables that may come into play later.

•You also have a sort of passive precognition in the form of a second thread of consciousness that equals your brain in processing power whose sole purpose is to plan for things that may or may not happen.

•You get immense creativity that allows you to make extremely cutting-edge technology with scrap and it seems to work just fine as if you had made it with sufficient resources. You can also make this technology in minutes or hours whereas it would regularly take weeks or months.

•You have an extremely high growth and learning rate, learning entire trees of science and becoming unrealistically ripped within hours is child's play.

•You can create true-to-life simulations and imaginary scenarios inside your head, the time within is dilated in a 100 to 1 ratio.

•And obviously you can do anything with prep-time so with enough time and research you can make physics-defying gadgets and give yourself superpowers, in other words with enough prep-time you can be omnipotent.

•Optionally, gain a cowl that takes whatever form you want it to take.

Essence of the Badass Normal

"There is nothing mere about that mortal."

This essence gives you the boons to fight against Gods. Comes in a normal coffee mug and tastes like a Snickers bar with a serving of the amalgamation of the theme of every badass human in fiction.

 Resources:

○You are an absolute genius in all things financial. From stock trading and currency speculation to the whole shebang with bonds and swaps and all that you're a financial wizard without match, capable of effortlessly reading the patterns and trends that let people make so much so quick.

○You're also a master scam artist and thief, and know everything from where to fence stolen goods to how to launder any amount of money till it appears entirely legitimate, using whatever tricks with shell corporations, international transfers and the rest that's required. In addition, you have the skills and talents of a veteran criminal in every field of crime there is.

○Any organization you lead seems to enter a sort of 'golden age', if you will, working with perfect efficiency, corruption and incompetence disappearing overnight, each member pulling their weight and pitching in to help each other.

○You know both the legal and illegal sides of the financial sector and can control them easily.

○You are a veritable super-genius at inventing all sorts of extremely advanced technology. Anything you can imagine, you can start making right now. From portal guns to space-faring ships to biotic augmentations. You can make it with the minimum amount of resources needed and even if the device needs "clean room" levels of precise engineering from teams of professional engineers, you can make it as easily with improvised tools and unforgiving conditions. Your technology can be made totally black-boxed or easily reproduced by mundane engineers. Everything you make can be mass-produced in a cave with a box of scraps by yourself. In addition, you are able to reverse-engineer anything, even alien technology easily.

○Anything else you need can be easily found in excess as long as you put even a modicum of effort looking into it.

2.Manpower:

○You inexplicably always seem to easily find companions that are compatible with you and your abilities. Your personalities and qualities always mesh together really well.

○You exude a sort of charisma, a charm that makes people find you extraordinarily impressive. They want to see you in charge, and live or work under you. You know just what to say and what to do to play even the biggest crowd, to subtly insert thoughts and ideas into their heads while making them think they're their own, or just whip them up through fiery talk.

○Your actual skills at leadership are unbelievable too, letting you get a feel for what anyone things of your leadership with just a conversation, knowing how to play subordinates against each other and/or help them overcome their differences, get them working together to complement their strength and cover their weaknesses.

○You can create strong bonds and cultivate those bonds effortlessly to the point that you can practically read each other's minds during combat. Your teamwork is completely subconscious and virtually flawless, enabling you to easily fight alongside others regardless of any differences between your respective powers. You fight as one entity, a unit stronger than its parts.

○You're able to gain loyal followers to join you for any task you partake in easily. From building an army, starting a business or anything you can think of. Your numbers will exponentially grow until you decide to not gain any more followers. Your followers will always be loyal to you unto the very end and not even death or torture can phase their loyalty. You know exactly how many followers you have at all times.

○If you decide to train your followers or companions, they can become as cinematically competent as the theoretical best of their fields could be within days. You could decide to train up to a thousand individuals at once and they would all grow as if you had solely focused on them the entire time. Although, all followers you gain become as competent as professionals in a week or two.

○Optionally, you could create your own companions any time and decide their traits, powers, looks, etc. You can decide how you want to meet them, whether they get created out of thin air, retroactively or run into them on the street. However, they will only start out at maximum city-block destroying levels but can grow up to peak comic-book character levels. Although, however powerful they become they will always be loyal to you and will never backstab you.

3.Skills:

○Your execution is always flawless to the absolute limits of your skill and knowledge; no fumbles, no slips, no unforced errors, and even your immediate reflexes are as smooth and accurate as if you'd had sufficient time to think about your next move.

○You can sense opportunities in any situation for the most useful action to gain the upper hand such as the right time to talk to someone for the optimal reaction or the window of time to execute your plan before it fails.

○You have a sense for the presence of any kind of crime. By default, this gives you an accurate direction of the nearest crime happening. You can change it to show the direction of the most severe crime, specific type of crime, or whatever you want.

○You become a master traceur and can perform cinematically impressive feats like running up walls or jumping off high buildings and landing safely. You know exactly how to get from point A to point B in the fastest and most effective way. If you are in a city that you are unfamiliar to, you get a rough mental map akin to a tourist guide of the city.

○You have also perfected vehicular traversal. Anything that could be even remotely considered a vehicle you can commandeer and used to the virtual limit.

○You have a supernatural mastery of every martial art and weapon you encounter. You can perform extremely difficult combat maneuvers easily and can mix and match different types of martial art to beat an opponent. You can predict any opponent in combat as long as they're not truly unpredictable. If your opponent makes even a slight mistake in a fight, you can easily capitalize on their mistake to turn the tides. You are a one man army who can take down hundreds of skilled opponents in your birthday suit, blind-folded and one arm tied to your back.

○You get a rough estimate of the abilities and skills of anybody you meet.

○You have achieved perfect accuracy on anything you can perceive. You can instantly aim your weapon and still hit a target kilometers away. Your judgement in distances, angles, power, etc is flawless and you can compensate for anything that would normally throw off your aim such as wind, gravity and air resistance.

○You know all the mundane ways of hiding whether through camouflage or in plain sight with disguises. You know how to counter all the mundane ways to find you. You gain superhuman skill at sneaking and stealth, able to evade the senses of beings with supernatural senses.

○You are the best of the best of detectives and investigators. You can solve seemingly unsolvable mysteries just by reading the morning newspaper. Your observation skills could substitute as an entire forensic team working diligently for hours. You are the best in the world at criminology, psychology, law, forensics and more.

○You know the best way to intimidate or interrogate someone to get the information you want out of them whether that be by torture, threats or blackmail. You also have an internal lie detector to tell if they're lying or not.

○You are also one of the best computer hackers in the world, if not already there. You can move through computer networks like a hot knife through butter, penetrating

 firewalls and proxies in seconds, modifying, creating or deleting records, steal money from digital accounts, write incredibly advanced viruses and worms to do all that for you, take over whole infrastructural systems, and a whole lot of other stuff. No matter how advanced a system or how elaborate its protections, for you it's only a matter if time before you own it.

○You have innate knowledge on surveillance, you are able to spy on and map out areas with ease and gather an abundance of intel.

○If you decide to fight showy, stylish or like you're drunk, it wouldn't hinder your effectiveness.

○Joining an organization would see you rising up the rankings shockingly quick.

○You can find weaknesses and flaws in anything just by looking.

○You have intuitive knowledge on how to effectively use any gadget you create.

○Your skills and abilities never degrade with disuse or the passage of time.

4.Body:

○You can remodel your body to the limits of a human.

○You possess photographic reflexes, able to copy the techniques and training of anyone you have watched for a period of time. This allows you to predict your opponents both on a combat level and a personal one, allowing you to foresee enemy actions with startling accuracy as long as you take time to study that person.

○You have enhanced speed, agility and reflexes, able to run faster than the human eye, react at hypersonic speeds, dodge bullets and perform complex gymnastics feats.

○Your durability and resilience is significantly increased where you can survive falls from buildings, punched through thick steel walls, hit by metal baseball bats, survive explosions bring down buildings, being frozen solid and other injuries that a normal human will not survive.

○Your muscles simultaneously have the power of a champion weightlifter and the fast-twitch speed of a master martial artist. You start at peak human in real life, but can train your body to become comic-book peak human.

○You have pain immunity. You are aware of where your body is damaged and the severity of it, but you don't feel the pain unless you want to.

○You are able to fight for days on end at peak capacity even if heavily injured.

○Your senses are enhanced to the point where you can smell well enough to identify separate chemicals in a chemical formula, see better than eagles, hear someone speaking from the top of a building, etc.

○Your control over your body is incredibly refined and allows you to achieve a number of effects like controlling each individual muscle in your body, manipulating your heart rate and hormone production, entering a deathlike state and more.

○Near-total immunity to all forms of mundane poison, sickness, or disease You will still feel some internal discomfort but it will never be debilitating.

○You require significantly less sustenance or sleep than a normal human would. You are able to function properly on twenty minutes of sleep a day or survive indefinitely on just bread and water without your health deteriorating.

○You receive full control over your fertility and other related buffs.

5.Mind:

○Your mind is one of the greatest in the world; like a super computer in its ability to process and store information. This means you have perfect memory, down to the minutest details, as well as a greater ability to process information on the fly. Your enhanced mind gives near instantaneous calculative abilities and infinite memory with the ability to store away unwanted memories and information.

○In all other respects, your mind is optimized to at least peak human in learning, deduction, reasoning, competence, adaptation, creativity and all the other things not mentioned relating to intelligence. There is not a single thing you can't understand without enough study.

○You are a genius strategist, extraordinary tactician and brilliant chessmaster rolled into one.

○You are able to learn and master skills significantly easier to the point where a couple of hours of dedicated training or learning will give you the same benefits of an entire year of study.

○You have extraordinarily increased willpower, motivation, discipline and diligence, purging excessive indolence and procrastination. You still value relaxing and chilling out, you just wouldn't put off anything if it's important.

○Greatly increased resistance to any attempt to forcefully change, control, or manipulate your body, mind, and soul against your will in any fashion. You are also greatly resistant to memetic effects or the maddening effects of eldritch beings or phenomena. Those that use supernaturally boosted persuasion are equally stymied, being forced to rely on simple mundane arguments against you as anything beyond that flatly fails to work.

6.Prep-time:

○Any time that you need to get hold of one of your existing items you will find that it is already in a pocket, bag, belt pouch etc.

○You always know exactly what gadgets will be needed, though you can't tell why or how you'll end up using them.

○When your adversary or mark springs a surprise on you that you could have known about, you can go back and have a flashback to how you prepared for it.

7.Reputation:

○The actions you take in life and your career will now be tallied and add up to supernatural boosts to your reputation and relationships over time, granting you new respect, opportunities, and contacts.

○You will also be supernaturally immune to any past actions or mistakes coming back to haunt you. Your mistakes be they great and terrible or small and minor will be forgotten as long as you want them to and make some form of amends, or simply will it so. You'll never have to worry about opponents with long-held grudges, tell-all books, libelous articles or historical investigations. In fact if someone tries to slander you or call you out for their own reasons over some perceived crime, error or slight, be it for personal gain, amusement, retribution or just spite, it will instead backfire on them and cause them ridicule and strife.

○However, you can choose to allow this theoretical past deeds come to light, and decided how people react to them, either respecting your genuine regret and contrition, or fearing the depths of your abilities - it's your choice.

○A stalwart Hero will find themselves beloved by the nation, with friends at the highest levels of society, and all the rewards, respect and adulation due to such a paragon. A insidious Villain will find themselves feared and obeyed, with contacts at the lowest levels of society and leverage over the great and good, and all the power, respect and fear such a person deserves. You can pursue both of these extremes simultaneously if you choose, becoming a desperate villain who secretly fights to better the world, or a renowned hero who will cross any line to get the job done.

8.Plot Armor:

○Ah, plot armor, the bane of all villains. You could be the absolute center of the universe, with fate itself striving to put you in the right place at the right time for any event you choose, unable to be beaten or fail in a task and save all, survive any dangers with your reputation becoming legendary and hailed far and wide as the greatest of your generation.

○Or the exact opposite, ensuring you avoid any danger and infamy, letting you drift contently and anonymously through simple slice of life adventures with friends.

○You may also switch between either of these extremes as you will, following a week of death defying adventure and world shaking battles with a few weeks of hanging out happily with your friends/family.

○Otherwise, should you want to coast along without any plot armor, you could.

○If you find yourself pressed for time for any reason, you will get time out of nowhere. Thirty seconds to defuse a bomb? Make that half an hour. One night to defeat many villains scattered over a whole city? Make it a week. The days don't actually pass and you don't get faster, time just passes slower for everybody, and nobody will notice.

9.

 Miscellaneous:

○Drinking this makes you aware of any physical ailments and disabilities and any mental illness, disorder or other conditions and gives you the choice to cure all or specific ones.

○You get a kind of split personality, one that can have fun while the other is working, or two that can work together on a problem and synergize their effort. Of course, having only one body makes this less than effective, so, as long as the same person cannot observe both of you, you can be in two different places at the same time. You can be a businessman and a vigilante at the same time, or live a double life with each body in different countries.

○No matter how long you live, time and circumstance will not weigh you down nor will it change you so much that you cannot recognize yourself.

○As the eons pass, you will never grow lesser in your own eyes. Indeed, you will only ever grow into more of the person you wish you could be, regardless of whatever horrors or terrible things you witness.

○You also have no issues with solitude, being capable of surviving with no one but yourself for company indefinitely without becoming distant or socially rusty as a result.

○No matter how much time passes or how many things you experience, you will never grow jaded or sick of simple pleasures or tasks. The sights and sounds you experience will always be as uplifting as the first time you saw them.

○You also get reincarnation should you die, with your choice of new body/circumstances and powers, and whether you instantly regain your memories, or at a certain point, or never. You can make other souls of people you choose reincarnate this way too, until you tire and want to go to the true afterlife or whatever comes beyond.

○This Essence updates to every world you go to, so if you go to a fantasy world, you will become an expert in magic-related crimes.

○This Essence immediately becomes part of your most inherent and innate nature upon first consuming it, and from that point on its benefits will permanently and irrevocably be with you at all times unless voluntarily toggled by you as per the above benefit. Nothing else can ever remove or weaken your hypercompetence in any way; curses, magic, Clarketech, even the will of ROB or equivalent beings, nothing.
