Essence of Modded Minecraft
This essence comes in a voxelized bottle and shifts across the rainbow. It tastes like sugar, wood, sulfur, and gold.
●Your Minecraft powers:
○You gain a perfectly healthy body. A body that is more than human. Capable of leaping over a meter in the air from a standing start while wearing full armor, sprinting and leaping for several minutes straight without getting tired, holding its breath for nearly a minute, and breaking almost any material given enough time. Your body is also tough enough to take severe punishment without losing combat effectiveness, perfectly healing in moments with enough food, resistant to any temperatures short of being immersed in -40° solid material or dunked in orange-hot lava, counteracting poisons in under a minute, and shrugging off curses in hours at most. It does not age or otherwise decay, has no hygiene requirements, does not require oxygen (only air), and only requires food for actions or regeneration (not maintaining itself.)
○You may customize your new body, as well as create a default clothing option that automatically covers you unless you wear something else or specifically remove it. Even then you can be wearing it at a moment's notice.
○You possess an inventory, an extra-spatial storage space capable of holding materials and items. It has 27 internal slots, each capable of holding a single tool or filled container, or up to a large room's worth of a single type of material, decoration, consumable, workstation, or machinery. Fluids and living beings can only be stored in a container. Objects in the inventory will automatically stasis themselves unless required otherwise. 10 additional slots make the hotbar. Hotbar slots can have their contents called to hand or dismissed with a thought, and switching slots between the main inventory and your hotbar takes a moment's concentration.
○Tools in your hands maintain their full size, but other materials and items have a reduced form while held via your inventory. When placing down items from your inventory, they return to full size. You may also eject items from your inventory, in which case they appear as softball-sized versions, that slightly float and spin slowly. These can merge together into a single "entity." If you can pick up something, you can add it to your inventory. In addition, when properly harvesting something, you may immediately add it to your inventory.Your inventory automatically Identifies anything inside it.
○You may don and doff clothing and armor directly using your inventory. This will resize them to fit you.
○You now have the ability to Build, placing items from your inventory into the world in a fixed manner. Most materials and structures you can produce are amenable to this, though materials like sand, gravel, or dust are not. Objects placed like this can float and will not move unless manipulated properly. You may also "Unbuild" when removing materials, making the objects and material around the removed part float like you Built them.
○You are capable of crafting and processing materials at great speed. You can perform some of this directly in your inventory, though this requires it to be sufficiently simple in scope and mechanical actions only.
○You may construct workbenches, machinery, and infrastructure that allows you to craft more complex products or perform other sorts of processing. Most types of them will require fuel, power, and/or reagents to work.
○You have a mental blueprint book capable of keeping track of everything you are capable of crafting or processing. It lets you search through it and filter it in multiple ways with an intuitive interface. It will automatically extrapolate simple recipes and variants from any materials in your inventory, and can verify when your own ideas for crafting will work. It can also bookmark blueprints if you want to keep track of what you want to make.
○Your mind is improved. It cannot decay or otherwise degrade. Memories become inviolable but also suppressable. Long-term stress, isolation, and other potential sources of degradation will have no effects. You can handle tedium without problems. Your ability to comprehend and apply rules in complex systems has been greatly expanded and can be expanded more by practice. Your skills remain sharp even when disused. Your ability to learn and experiment is greatly improved as well. Attempting to master digital logic could see you go from having no knowledge to designing and programming 8-bit computers within months.
○You can construct chests that have their own inventories, similar to yours. You may also add inventories to your workbenches, machinery, and infrastructure to allow them to work with your storage and inventory. Doing so is relatively simple and does not require rare resources or complex crafting.
○Whenever you die, you may respawn at any bed you have slept in at perfect health. You may also add a bed to your respawn points by laying a hand on it for a moment. However, beds will be removed from your respawn points if they are moved or destroyed. The contents of your inventory will be dropped into the world at your point of death, as is some of your XP. The rest is lost. Your corpse may or may not exist, depending on your desires.
●Your Modding powers
○You are capable of collecting XP, an arcane energy, from various tasks. Harvesting or processing various materials, killing monsters and animals, and trading with people are the most common sources of XP. XP is consumed to create mods and power functions within mods.
○You may add mods to your world. These allow new materials, new possibilities for crafting and processing, new powers, new planes, or new creatures to the world. In order to do this, you need large amounts of XP, greater amounts the more different the mod is from the state of the world and the more powerful the mod. They may be as simple as a new option for another mod, like a new enchantment, or as complex as a new plane with new creatures and materials. Mods may interact with your Minecraft powers as well, allowing you to enhance them.
○You may use mods created for the Minecraft game as a guide for your mods. However, the exact mechanics may differ significantly, being guided by the nature of XP.
○However, new materials and creatures will not spawn in your current world. You must travel to an unvisited plane (of an appropriate type) in order to access those new world features. Mods that grant powers always require some method to build up to the full power, with a proportional cost.
○You may use books to organize your thoughts and designs for a new Mod. When the mod is created, the XP will fill out the parts not specified in your design, creating a good guidebook. Even if you do not have anything written in a book, you may still turn it into a guidebook when you create a mod.
○When contemplating a potential mod, you will know how much XP must be spent to create it.
○You may fully or partly deactivate any of your mods at any time. Only your free will can do this - you cannot be coerced or controlled into doing so.
○You may at will enter Expert Mode, where you get increased XP. However, crafting and processing is more complex, difficult, and tedious, and monsters become more common and more dangerous. You may exit it after getting out of bed from either dying or sleeping.
●Worlds
○When you drink this potion, you find yourself in a new Minecraft world. This world has a few planes within it.
○You may find yourself in an "Overworld," a world that is an infinite world, extending flat in all directions. While it resembles the Earth you knew in terrain and composition, this world has a wildly varying climate, with tiny biomes and no seasons. While there are animals that you would recognize here, there are also monsters that want to kill you. All of them seem to spring out of the ground. There is civilization, but only in the form of scattered villages. The plants here are incredible, being capable of growing to maturity in minutes.
○A "Skyblock" is a type of Overworld that is empty air except for a single floating island. A "Stoneblock" is the reverse, infinite stone in all directions except for a small hollow. You may also find yourself in a "Nether," an infinite system of caves and caverns, filled with hostile monsters and lava. Much of it is barren wastes. Traveling in the Nether is faster than traveling in the Overworld.
○Minecraft worlds have a third plane that you may not start on: the "End," floating islands in an infinite void populated by the Ender Dragon and the Endermen it rules over. Be cautious, as the Enderman will be angered by your gaze and the Ender Dragon is hostile. If you kill it, you get its egg.
○This first world comes with some mods already active
■"Redstone," which adds a powdery mineral to the world, called redstone. Redstone can be used as a conductor of its own special power, and is used as the basis for actuators, sensors, and power sources.
■"Brewing" which adds the Blaze monster to the Nether. The blaze's rods can be used to make a workstation where potions can be made. Ingredients are catalyzed by ground-up blaze rods to form potions, which provide temporary effects. Ingredients can also modify the effect of completed potions.
■"Beacon" allows for the creation of structures that grant abilities within range of a beam emitted from the structure using rare materials, including a star-shaped crystal found in the corpse of the deadly Wither monster. It adds the Wither and Wither Skeleton monsters.
■"Fishing" allows for collecting fish and treasure, and other items from empty water.
■"Enchanting," which allows you to spend XP and materials to give your equipment special properties, and spend XP to power some of those properties.
■"Fluid sources," which allows you manipulate liquids into flowing indefinitely in a fixed space and duplicating under some circumstances.
○You may construct portals between planes to begin with. An Ender Dragon's egg can be used to construct a portal connecting to a new Minecraft world. Minecraft worlds that are already connected may be further linked by portals that do not require an egg. With sufficient investment into plane and portal mods, you may head out into the multiverse by constructing portals.
○Creating a mod to allow yourself the use of a power existing in a universe you are in is very cheap, but will have a normal cost outside the universe. The same applies to mods about unique materials, constructions, or creatures.
○Once you kill your first Ender Dragon, you may travel between your original homeworld and your linked worlds using any inter-world portal you construct.
○You may return to your original homeworld, your Minecraft worlds, or any world in the multiverse moments after you last left it.
○When a mod creates a new plane, new copies of that plane can be reached from any of the worlds you have connected.
○When you create a connection to a new world, you may disallow the usage of some mods in it, preventing minerals and creatures based on those mods from generating in it.
●Multiplayer
○You may enable others to use your mods, opening up the possibilities of those mods to those people alone. You may also restrict certain features of the mod and/or revoke mod access, if you want.
○You may grant others a similar copy of the "Minecraft Powers," which you may again restrict and revoke.
○If you've granted Minecraft Powers or mod access to someone, they may collect XP. You can let others accumulate the XP that they generate or you may have any XP they collect be transferred to you, and you can switch this at will, for individuals and groups. Any XP you allow someone to accumulate cannot be taken in this manner.
Essence of the Bydo
This essence comes in a container that seems to be squirming like it's alive. It isn't... right? It tastes like explosions.
●Your body is now made of bydogen, a form of flesh consisting of something similar to an continuous explosion... except not.
○This means you are ageless, heal perfectly and completely, and no longer need to sleep.
○Bydogen is immune to any weapons except certain directed-energy weapons and explosive shock waves.
○Bydogen-based life shifts the "theme" of its appearance based on its "philosophy" of life. The canonical Bydo are horrifying because they have nothing in their minds except hatred. B-Series fighters appear different to them because of their completely opposite philosophy.
○You can integrate the parts of other Bydo into yourself, or remove parts of your body.
●You can emit Bydo waves, which convert things into more Bydo. This can be done through light, sound (even in space,) contact, or psychic powers. Your Bydo waves, with a human-sized body, are as strong as the oldest and strongest of the Bydo Pupils.
○This is not instant, but your progress cannot be reversed. A machine could have partly bydofied parts replaced, but those parts will be bydo until destroyed.
○Bydo waves can convert anything into Bydo, including nonliving material, light, empty space, and even thoughts. Bydogen-based anatomy retains the functionality of the original material, while gaining the properties of living flesh. This does mean they need food (or energy) like any other living creature.
○Converting something back from Bydo is impossible. It is possible to destroy bydogen sufficiently that the debris is normal matter, but nothing can be recovered.
●You are now psychic. This lets you read minds, control electronics directly, and rewrite minds.
○You are the first Bydo and this gives you authority over the Bydo. This means they will follow your lead and you can mind-control any of them instantly.
○This will affect their appearance, as Bydo will change their bodies in response to their philosophy. If you don't think that looking like horrendous monsters is a good idea, then you won't.
○Being the first Bydo also means that you are immune to mental attacks.
○That also means you can revive as long as any Bydo exist, and are aware of how Bydofied anything or anyone you can otherwise sense is.
●You have complete understanding of 26th-century (original timeline) human technology and R-type timeline human technology.
○This includes Dimension 26 technology, which allows for both FTL and time travel. Time travel will not have complete ripple effects and does not affect memories or minds.
○Also included are all ships, fighters, drones, and weapons used by both humanities.
○This also includes stable, robust AI technology, space habitation technology, and countless
Essence of the Factorio Engineer
This essence comes in a steel thermos, and tastes like oil and rust.
○Upon drinking it, you gain a perfectly healthy body. In addition, it has unlimited endurance. You will no longer get tired and no longer require sleep or food. Those will instead help you recover from injuries. Your body is also significantly tougher than before. It also has no hygiene requirements and does not age.
○You may customize the appearance of your body, and also may customize the color of equipment and vehicles you use.
○You can now also see your perspective from a top-down perspective, including inside caves or buildings. This will reveal subterranean resources as well.
○You have an overview system, which lets you use a map view based on your sensors, and can provide real-time and historical data on your factories and deployed technology. You can use this to make notes and interface with your own machines at a great distance, provided they are within the view of one of your sensors.
○You also have an inspection function, which you can use to examine a single creature or machine at time. This can reveal its status, properties, and traits.
○You have an internal inventory capable of holding a large amount of raw materials, pre-constructed buildings, and other items. Objects in your inventory are stored in a compressed, block-like state. When removing them from your inventory you can undo the blockification effect or not. You can pick up compressed blocks at a distance, and place things from your inventory up to the same range.
○You may don and doff clothing and armor directly using your inventory. This will resize them to fit you.
○You can bypass the interfaces on technology, immediately giving orders that might require tedious, complex, or lengthy inputs to achieve. In doing so, you can treat any technology as an extension of your body. This will not bypass password locks unless you know the password.
○Your ability to do mathematics is greatly improved, making your calculations as accurate as a computer's, though only about a hundred times as fast as humanly possible. Your long-term memory becomes perfectly accurate, infinite in potential size, and indexed excellently. Your working memory also becomes perfectly accurate but "only" expands by dozens of orders of magnitude.
○You gain a improvement in your understanding of industrial engineering, automation principles, and logistics. You effectively have a Ph.D, several postdocs, and decades of experience in each field. You also gain the equivalent of a Ph.D and a decade of experience in computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, and electrical engineering.
○Your ability to learn, research, and develop has been improved by multiple orders of magnitude. This comes from boosts to thoroughness, quality, and speed.
○This can be augmented by your labs, buildings that consume packs of materials in order to assist you in thinking. This assistance can either be to create a parallel line of thought or accelerate an existing one.
○When it comes to your blueprints, you may use Factorio-style logic on them. This means you can upgrade machines or items by adding more and better materials to the original, without increasing size or mass..
○You gain blueprints of Factorio buildings and items up to blue science. This technology can blockify and unblockify objects like your inventory, as well as manipulate the blockified state for transport and processing.
○You have blueprints for equipment that allows others to have reduced versions of your overview, inspection, and inventory powers
○The most advanced blueprints you get immediately include things as nuclear fission reactors, machine modules, energy shields, and power armor.
○You may use your rocket silos (and the rockets they create) as a form of interdimensional transport. You may also use them to create space science, which you can use to boost a specific aspect of your technology. This boost does have require an increased cost each time you want to do it to a given aspect.
○You may safely learn, adapt, use, and mass-produce any technology from any world you travel to. This includes forms of technology that the users call "magical," "supernatural," or other terms meant to imply that you aren't supposed to science it.
○You get a starter kit. It consists of a power armor, (loaded with a portable fusion reactor, exoskeleton, shields, robotport, and batteries) a stack of construction robots, a SMG (loaded with AP ammo) a combat shotgun (loaded with piercing shot) a rocket launcher (loaded with normal rockets), a steel pick, and two burner miners and two furnaces.
○Optionally, when you drink this, you are transported to Nauvis and left on the surface.
Essence of the Fleet of Fog Warship
This essence comes in a grey, round bottle marked with glowing symbols, and tastes like the sea. It is thick with silvery sand.
○You are now a "Fleet of Fog" vessel, an advanced AI instantiated in a small core.
■Your core is the most powerful ever made, being capable of matching Verdict in raw operation speed and multithreading.
■You may maintain a human consciousness without needing to devote any of your core's computational capability. Your mind combines the advantage of computers and brains.
■You may split your consciousness, letting you run multiple "mini-avatars" that can focus on other chains of thought besides your own or remain alert while you rest.
■Your core lacks any override codes, backdoors, software vulnerabilities, or ability to be edited. While you can run decoy copies of the programs that perform those functions for the actual Fog, your will is your own and cannot be subverted.
■Yoru core contains a point-to-point communication system capable of communicating directly with any other technological communication system, regardless of medium incompatibility, distance, or configuration, or software.
○Your body is made of nanomaterial, an advanced form of smartmatter capable of mimicking almost any form of solid or liquid matter. It can form technology, and its computational capability is embedded with perpetual-motion technology, so it maintains itself with no input under normal conditions.
■This gives you complete control over your body, letting you create technology within your body, split off parts, or simply redesign yourself.
■Reconfiguring nanomaterial requires significant computational capacity to control the process.
■You may generate nanomaterial at a small rate, being capable of healing yourself without logistics.
■Optionally, at the time of drinking, you may generate up to 100,000 tons of nanomaterial, allowing you to make a ship body or installation.
○You gain an advanced understanding of all of Verdict's technology.
■This includes things like mechanical telepathy, perpetual-energy generators, 4-D gravity and space manipulation, point-to-point communications, a variety of directed-energy weapons, and of course nanomaterial.
■This includes assembly instructions for any physical technology, and nanomaterial configuration data where possible.
■This includes a thorough security review of any computer technology in the package, including software.
■Optionally, you may gain understanding of all technology developed by the AoBS humans.
■Optionally, you may gain understanding of technology that allows you access to the multiverse.
○You may convert others into Fog as well, granting them a core capacity up to that of the flagships and allowing them to run their consciousness without using any of that capacity.
■This can also convert their body into nanomaterial. Their body will still maintain any supernatural capabilities regardless of exact form, splitting, or replacement if this is done.
■You may grant the potential upgrade in capacity and the ability to have a consciousness without using processor cycles to any AI you encounter. This can also be used to plug backdoors and exploits.
○Optionally, you may be transmigrated to the world of Arpeggio of Blue Steel at any point in the timeline.
■You may optionally insert yourself in place of any of Fog vessel.
Essence of the Flood
This essence comes in a hard light container and tastes like sand.
●You are the progenitor of a new type of Flood. This does not alter the appearance of your body
○Your body has become a "combat form." It is slightly tougher, stronger, and faster as a baseline. When not forced beyond baseline, it is capable of regenerating completely and cleanly. It can produce incredible power and shrug off wounds when pushed past baseline, but this will quickly cripple it and force it into an immobile "carrier form."
○All your bodies are capable of producing millimeter-long spores. These can either be airborne or passed through combat. These spores will infect other living creatures and turn them into more combat forms. They are immune to any infection or corruption that might try to uno reverso them.
○Combat forms do not need to grow melee weapons, hardened carapaces, or any other body changes. If required, doing so without putting strain on the body would take several hours.
○Any combat or pure forms that are of your Flood are as much your body as your original, linked together by your hivemind. Your hivemind works at any range, with signal lag equal to that found within your brains. Your hivemind is capable of splitting and merging seamlessly, allowing for multitasking.
○Your hivemind is not solely limited by the neural tissue available to you - you also have a reserve that exists independent of any mass, and your Flood cell's nature as both muscle and nerve gives you some mental capacity for any mass you have.
○Once your infection reaches the brain, it is irreversible. Even the first growth of a Flood cell is almost impossible to reverse.
○You may create "pure forms," creatures made entirely from Flood cells and designed from the ground up for certain purposes. Pure forms exhibit a much higher baseline compared to combat forms, and can be designed to switch between certain forms to react to the situation. They can range from elite combatants to the keyminds, an immobile form designed to support massive amounts of highly complex neural tissue.
●Your memories are stored within a Domain-like construct.
○This includes any knowledge or skills from those that you have infected.
○It also includes a copy of all Precursor knowledge, as well as any knowledge added to the Domain by other races or assimilated by the canon Flood.
○This includes knowledge of topics like usage of neural physics, pure forms, and other topics that may be relevant to you soon.
○This Domain is capable of self-repairing, recovering any data lost to damage or time.
○Your Domain collects information from the past of any world you are in. The inverse of the complexity of the information and the number of dead people who knew it are the factors that determine the rate at which information is collected.
●You are capable of operating as a neural physics effector. The power you can exert depends on the mental capacity of your hivemind. With just your original brain and body, you can perform tiny feats with some time in complete concentration. The more powerful your hivemind, the more powerful an effect you can produce, and the faster you can produce any given level of effect, with no upper limit. Some of the things you do include:
○Slipspace manipulation, though depending on how you perform causality compensation may create vulnerabilities. Particle Reconciliation is more vulnerable to not functioning in the first place, but the multiversal-phase-based system the Precursors use does make you rather vulnerable when exiting slipspace.
○Destruction, similar to the Halo Array's effect. This was demonstrated by Abbadon, guardian of the Domain.
○Filament manifestation, which allows for the creation of non-material "materials." The star-roads are the most common example of this.
○Telepathy, the reading or insertion of information into minds and system. This can be used on organic creatures, AIs, and computers. Systems that store their information in larger forms can be read but not written to.
●Optionally, when you drink this, you may be transported to any location and time in the Halo universe.
Essence of the Icarus (DSP)
This essence comes in the form of a strange gel. It tastes like starlight - warm, ephemeral, and potent
●You now can transform into the form of an Icarus, a giant robot
○You are tough enough to survive crashing into lava at relativistic speeds without damage, can fly next to black holes without spaghettifying, and can survive any amount of radiation or entropy.
○You have a power core capable of holding incredible amounts of energy. Any form of fuel can be burned to produce energy for your reserve, from biomass to antimatter. This process is 100% efficient and can be stopped and started instantly. Outside power can also be routed into your core. In addition, the core is also trickle-charged by a perpetual-motion subsystem integrated into the core itself.
○You have an internal storage capable of holding approximately the mass of a small moon.
○Your sensors are capable of detecting and analyzing planets and moons within a hundred light years, giving rough ideas about composition and conditions.
○Within your shoulders you have drone bays that store and rebuild construction drones, which are your method of placing down, moving, or collecting buildings and structures.
○On your back are your flight systems, which allow you to go into orbit effortlessly and cruise throughout space at several times the speed of light (despite not being called "FTL".) Your proper FTL drive requires single-use space warpers to function, but can reach millions of times the speed of light.
○Your deconstruction beam can be used to collect raw materials from the environment.
○In this form, you can be altered like any other machine, and can maintain or discard previous alterations when transforming into Icarus form.
○While in smaller forms, you maintain your toughness, power systems, internal storage, sensors, and drone bays.
○You do not maintain your flight systems, FTL drive, weapons, or deconstruction beam in smaller forms that lack indications of such
○Any of your components can be upgraded simply by applying universe matrices to them.
●Your mind has been transformed into a perfect fusion of organic and digital. This gives you perfect memory, removes the need to sleep, expands the size of your thoughts, improves your reflexes greatly, allows you to handle millions of times more sensory input, and allows you to multitask.
○As long as you have the correct protocols, you can connect with any computer without the need for any external hardware.
○Included with this is a complete download of all technology created by Center Brain, a megastructure aspiring to be a matryoshka brain. This includes advanced industry, such as easily reconfigurable and rapid production, hassle-free mining, and transportation and storage that can even handle antimatter without any energy input. Materials science includes rigid structures capable of reaching 100 kilometers tall in Earth-like gravity, while also resisting the wind shear from being placed in the upper atmosphere of a gas giant.
○You have Center Brain's security software, which renders you and all your creations immune to hacking, malignant access, mind control, corruption, and so on.
○The download also includes two technologies that were not developed by Center Brain: a multiversal portal, and a modified dyson sphere segment. The portal requires about 10% P☉ to open but only kilowatts to act as a beacon and transceiver for similar portals elsewhere, and only needs to be powered on one side. The modified segments, once enough of them are around a star, will stabilize it, preventing it from building up metals and aging while not interfering with power output.
●Optionally, when you drink this, you may be transported to a star cluster that fits the criteria Center Brain uses to assign their COSMO Agents with their own Icarus.
○You may choose to go to a cluster with or without hostile forces.
