- District C, Imperial Capital -
Acceber went downstairs and searched for the kitchen. The villa looked small from the outside, but she did not expect it to have a massive interior. When Acceber reached the kitchen, she was amazed by how beautiful and complete its design was, like a masterpiece of art.
When she opened the fridge, the smell of rotten meat immediately polluted the air. There was a frown on Acceber's face as she closed the refrigerator and looked for other items to eat. She was then disappointed that the wealthy family did not have any suitable food stored in the kitchen.
'It seems like the members don't like cooking. Or maybe this house was not occupied for a long time. I should just gather some from my space.'
When Acceber went inside the white mansion of her space, she noticed that someone was standing by the window of the first floor. 'Damn! I forgot that I even saved a child on my way home. From the looks of him, he had not yet changed his clothes or eaten anything for the past few days. But his body was nourished well by the aura of the space.'
The child slowly turned his gaze to Acceber when he felt her presence. "Big sister!"
"Hey, kid! How long have you been awake? Is there any discomfort? Tell big sister, and big sister will heal you!"
The child shook his head. He is a werewolf, and his body can heal all his wounds naturally. But he was surprised when the sister he was waiting for appeared out of thin air. Yet he could tell that she was not a ghost. "Sister, I'm hungry."
"I will prepare food for the two of us, but we need to leave this place first. Would you trust me?" Acceber offered a hand to the child with a smile on her face.
"I will always trust my sister!" The child took Acceber's hand.
"Close your eyes."
The child did as he was told. The warmth of the hand holding him made him hold even tighter to it. He could not explain why, but he trusted Acceber very much, and he felt safe with her.
"We're here."
When the child opened his eyes, he was surprised that they appeared in the house owned by his eldest brother in District C. Tears welled from his eyes as he gripped Acceber's hand tightly.
"Kid, what happened?"
"Big sister, you're so good to me!" He murmured as he stared at their surroundings. He used to live during holidays in this house, but he couldn't come last year since he was kidnapped.
Acceber used her other hand and patted the child's head. "Why do you say so?"
"Big sister, I haven't told you my name yet!"
"Hmm. So what's your name, kid?"
"My name is Russel!"
"Russel is a nice name!"
"I am Russel Bloodstone! I want to thank my sister for bringing me home. This is my eldest brother's home!"
Her calmness hid Acceber's shock, but her heart was turbulent. "Are you the baby in the family portrait?"
Russel nodded, "I was still very small when my family decided to have a new portrait drawn. That painting was also my brother's favorite piece. Sister, I am really starving!"
"Hmm. Go back to your room first. I will prepare the food while you wash and make yourself comfortable. By the way, does your brother hate cooking?"
Russel smiled shyly. He did not want others to know his brother's secret, but his sister possessed keen eyes. "My brother lacked talent in this area. He also almost burned down the house when he tried once. My mother then forbade him from entering the kitchen."
Acceber nodded in understanding, and they separated to do their things.
When Russel got back to his room, he did not waste time and took a bath. He was dumbfounded when he wore his old clothes because they no longer fit his current height.
'I did not expect that I would grow taller just by staying in my sister's secret paradise! I should keep my sister's secret well and hide from everyone the fact that my sister can teleport me to such a magical place. I do not want my sister to be targeted by bad guys, so I will tell my brother to protect her well in my stead since I am still young.'
Russel rushed to his brother Fiero's room and chose to wear some of the clothes that he hadn't opened yet. 'Wow! My brother's clothes were only slightly larger than my current size!'
No matter how excited he was, he still remembered to contact his eldest brother using magical means. Through a jade tablet, he dialed the tablet of the packhouse in his brother's office. When someone answered the call, he could hear people talking out loud, panicking, and even screaming.
"Eldest brother, are you there?" Russel increased the volume of his voice and listened to the other side very well.
"Russel?" His brother's cold voice made his heart full of longing.
"Brother, I am safe. I am in your house in District C! A big sister saved me from evil cultivators! Can you come and pick us up? I'm afraid my sister needs protection from those who chased me. She's also a supernatural like us!"
"Wait for me there! I'll be able to reach District C by morning! Remember not to go out and lock all of the doors and windows in our house! Do you hear me?"
"Yes, eldest brother! I will wait for you here!"
Russel carried the jade tablet with him and walked to the kitchen where Acceber was cooking. When he arrived, his eyes couldn't believe that there were lots of delicious food on the table. He also noticed that his big sister was still cooking something on the pan.
Acceber's senses were incredibly excellent. She heard it when the door of Russel's room opened, and even when Russel's stomach protested in hunger as he saw the food she cooked. She was never one to brag about things, but she's truly a master when it comes to cooking.
"Wash your hands on the basin and settle down. Let's eat when I'm done. Well, I'm almost done!"
"Thank you for the big meal, big sister!"
