On another battlefield, Lin Shiji was engaged in a fierce battle with a Silver Earth Scorpion, and neither side seemed to gain much of an advantage.

As the sword fell, a burst of Sword Qi exploded, sending sand and stones scattering within a range of dozens of feet. Wherever the sword light passed, two of the Silver Earth Scorpion's legs were severed by the Sword Qi.
The Silver Earth Scorpion let out two agonizing howls, writhing in pain and becoming even more frenzied. As it bared its teeth in a grimace, it shot a dark brown poison from its tail stinger at Lin Shiji.
Shocked, Lin Shiji's escape speed soared, instantly shifting more than ten feet away to land on a tree.
