Chapter 1 - Basic Settings of this Book (Must Read)_1

```
Hello, dear readers!
Recently, some readers have commented, suggesting the author create a chapter on the basic settings of the story.
To help everyone understand the story better, I've taken some time to work on a settings chapter and hope it will be useful to you all.
Since I hadn't done this earlier, and now we're over 500 chapters in, both new and old readers should take a look. If there are any mistakes, I hope you'll point them out so I can correct them promptly.
PS: For now, the settings only cover the human world. I'll add more as we explore other realms in the story.
Besides, every book has different settings, with some commonalities and many differences.
First and foremost, whether you like the book or not, I hope everyone will comment with a calm mind.
You are welcome to express your opinions and suggestions in the comments, just refrain from personal attacks on both fellow readers and the author.
I am very open to receiving suggestions for minor characters, various material settings, and such. I will consider adopting suitable ones.
Lastly, if any reader does not like this book, feel free to delete it from your shelf—there's no need to feel disgusted over certain parts, nor is there a need to upset the author. Let's all keep a peaceful mindset while reading.
On the flip side, if you enjoy the book, it's an honor for me, and I hope you'll continue to subscribe actively.
Thank you, everyone!
...
Cultivation Realms: Qi Refinement, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Divinity Transformation
(Corresponding to Demonic Beasts of 1st to 5th Order)
PS: Only the Human Race with a Spiritual Root can cultivate. Innate differences can't easily be reversed by ordinary treasures. Demonic Beasts cultivate their bodies, and the higher their grade, the higher their Spirit Wisdom.
...
Lifespan:
120 years of Qi Cultivation, 250 years of Foundation Establishment, 600 years of Golden Core, 1500 years of Nascent Soul, 5000 years to Become a God
(Demonic Beasts' lifespans are roughly 5 times that of the Human Race)
PS: Ordinary humans generally live to about 50, though some strong and sturdy martial artists can live to their eighties or nineties.
...
Weapons:
Spiritual Artifact, Magic Artifact, Magical Treasure, Spiritual Treasure, Ancient Treasure (corresponding to Qi Refinement~Divinity Transformation; starting from Magical Treasure, no further grade distinction)
Heavenly Spiritual Treasure (a rarity from the upper realms)
PS: Weapons are divided into offensive and defensive, and regardless of the grade, there are differences in quality and spirituality, naturally leading to different effects.
...
Spiritual Root: Basic Five Elements properties + Ice, Wind, Thunder
PS: The Human Race starts to test for Spiritual Roots at age ten, and only those who possess them can embark on the path of cultivation.
...
Spirit Stone: Low-Grade, Medium Grade, High Quality, Supreme Quality
Exchange Ratio: 100-1
PS: Medium and Low-Grade Spirit Stones are the most widely circulated among Cultivators. Once reaching the level of High-Quality Spirit Stones, these are typically used as energy sources for formations and are usually found with cultivators above the Golden Core Stage, considered a scarce strategic resource.
...
Cultivation Technique; Yellow Grade, Mysterious, Earth, Heaven
Spirit Art: Yellow Grade, Mysterious, Earth, Heaven
PS: Yellow Grade is the lowest, and it goes up from there. Different grades of Cultivation Techniques come with varying strengths of Divine Skills and differ in the number of skills they convey.
PS: Like Cultivation Techniques, Spirit Arts are special offensive methods that significantly enhance a Cultivator's attack power. Generally used as trump cards, they are extremely precious.
...
Treasure settings: 1st to 5th Order
Spiritual Medicines, Fruits, and Ores: 1st to 5th Order.
PS: 1st and 2nd Order treasures are divided into low, medium, and high quality. 3rd Order and above treasures are not divided by quality, but there's still a significant difference in rarity and effect.
...
Price Base:
The value of treasures by order: 1st Order—1-100 Spirit Stones, 2nd Order—500-5,000 Spirit Stones, 3rd Order—50,000 to 1,000,000 Spirit Stones.
4th Order: 10 million to 500 million Low-Grade Spirit Stones.
5th Order: Priceless treasures, not attainable with ordinary Spirit Stones.
...
Human Race regional introduction: Huarong Realm, Nine Provinces Continent
Nine Provinces Continent: Qingzhou, Jingzhou, Yangzhou, Binzhou, Xuanzhou, Yunzhou, Huazhou, Youzhou, Jizhou.
Overseas Three Islands: Changxing Island, Jiuxuan Island, Luolan Island
PS: Each continent varies in size. Xuanzhou, Yunzhou, and Huazhou are the central regions of the Human Race, with extremely ancient inheritances. Currently, the Immortal Path flourishes there, with numerous clan powers.
Qingzhou and Jizhou are close to the Endless Forest and are new territories for the Human Race, while the power and inheritances of the other seven provinces vary, and their overall strengths differ accordingly.
...
Vein Introduction:
PS: In this book, there's no such thing as veins. Any mountain, river, or stream can serve as a habitat, the only difference being the concentration of Spiritual Energy. However, formations, Spirit Stones, and special treasures can be used to modify the concentration of Spiritual Energy.
Typically, a long-standing power's base is the result of thousands of years of accumulation and transformation to become a Cave Heaven and Blessed Land.
...
Monster Race species: Demon Race, Barbarian Race, Sea Demon Race
Demonic Beast territory: Endless Forest
Barbarian territory: Endless Forest
Sea Demon territory: Endless Sea Domain
PS: The Endless Forest covers a vast area, home to both terrestrial Demonic Beasts and the Barbarian Race, though the Barbarian Race occupies a smaller proportion.
The Barbarian Race has good innate talents but a shorter inheritance period, making their overall strength much weaker than that of the terrestrial Demonic Beasts and the Sea Demons.
Barbarian characteristics: They have the appearance of a beast head on a human body and can freely transform into the body of a Demonic Beast in battle. With extremely high innate talents, they are the offspring of High Order terrestrial Demonic Beasts combined with the Human Race, essentially inheriting the advantages of both races. They possess higher Spirit Wisdom than pure Demonic Beasts, but still not as high as Human Cultivators.
...
That's all the settings for now, with more additions to come as the story progresses. Other realms will also be added as the plot advances.
If fellow Taoists have any suggestions or ideas, feel free to share them in the reader's circle or comment on this chapter.
You can also join the group discussion, which I happily welcome.
