Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 You Are Enough_1

As Yin Tian entered the private room, he immediately noticed the displeased expressions of the Su Family members glaring at him

one by one, all furrowing their brows, even seeming to find his very presence superfluous.

Yin Tian didn't mind and waved his hand towards Su Qinwei.

Looking up, Yin Tian locked eyes with two individuals seated in the places of honor.

By a strange coincidence, they were the same Yang Yun from Xia Family whom Yin Tian had embarrassed and the deceitful Taoist Li.

"Yin Tian, let me introduce to you, this is Yang Yun from Yunling Group and Taoist Li from Fangtian Temple outside the city, esteemed guests of the Su Family," Su Qinwei said, trying to warm up the chilly atmosphere as she introduced them to Yin Tian.

Having already met them at Xia Family's place before, Yin Tian glanced over and saw both their expressions slightly unnatural, especially Taoist Li, whose eyes betrayed a hint of panic.

Taoist Li was likely afraid Yin Tian would expose him.

Thinking so, Yin Tian smirked and nodded to Taoist Li and Yang Yun as a form of greeting.

This finally put Taoist Li at ease.

"I say, our in-law, how can you be so impolite? Just nodding at the Su Family's distinguished guests?" a member of the Su Family said disdainfully beside Su Qinwei.

"That's right, you made Taoist Li and Mr. Yang wait for so long, don't you have any manners at all?"

Another Su Family member wagged a finger at Yin Tian.

Taoist Li, fearful at his side, hoped Yin Tian wouldn't reveal his secrets.

Hurriedly, he raised his wine cup, "No worries, not at all, I toast to you, brother!"

"Look at that, Yin Tian! That's what you call magnanimity from Taoist Li!"

"The difference between people, it's even greater than the difference between humans and dogs!"

The Su Family praised Taoist Li, and even Su Qinwei shot Yin Tian a peculiar look.

Yin Tian initially didn't even want to clink cups with Taoist Li, but seeing Su Qinwei's expression, he grabbed his wine cup without looking up and made the gesture with Taoist Li.

"How utterly rude, I'm telling you, Su Qinwei, how did you end up with such a son-in-law?"

"Exactly, doesn't understand any social niceties, doesn't even know how to greet properly, no wonder he's from the countryside," Su Qinwei's cousins mocked Yin Tian in rotation.

Su Qinwei subconsciously wanted to defend Yin Tian with a few words.

But just as she was about to speak, she saw the door open.

Su Changhe entered with a slick and foppish young man and immediately showed disdain upon seeing Yin Tian sitting beside Su Qinwei.

When his gaze fell on Taoist Li, his expression turned into one of flattery and obsequiousness.

"Taoist Li, this is Mr. Wang from the Wang Family. We happened to run into him today, maybe you could divine his fortune?"

After speaking, Su Changhe drew a bank card from his pocket and handed it to Taoist Li, "There's a hundred thousand yuan on the card, for the temple's incense offerings."

Taoist Li glimpsed the card, smiled subtly, and discreetly pocketed it.

Then, lifting his gaze toward Mr. Wang, he remarked, "Mr. Wang looks to have the makings of great wealth and fortune!"

Yin Tian silently nodded to himself; Mr. Wang did seem a bit frail, yet had a full forehead and an air of nobility about him—indeed the look of great wealth and fortune.

However, Yin Tian detected a slight evil aura around him; the guy seemed to be walking into some bad luck.

Taoist Li continued nodding and said to Wang, "However, Mr. Wang seems to have run into a bit of bad luck recently, with a shadow over his brow, perhaps troubled by something?"

In fact, these were Taoist Li's intentionally ambiguous words, yet Su Changhe excitedly slapped his thigh in response.

Turning his head to Mr. Wang with smug pride, "Mr. Wang, see? Taoist Li has genuine skills, instantly discerning your recent run of bad luck."

These words stirred a reaction in Mr. Wang's eyes, "Taoist Li, how can I break this spell of bad luck?"

Seeing Mr. Wang take the bait, the other members of the Su Family now looked at Taoist Li with admiration.

"Taoist Li is practically godsent!"

"He's so accurate!"

Even Su Qinwei's eyes held a bit of curiosity.

Taoist Li, feeling somewhat proud, addressed Mr. Wang, "Not to worry, I'll write you a charm. In a few days, you'll be fine."

"We are fated, so let this charm for eight thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight yuan bond us."

Having said that, Taoist Li promptly took out a bundle of talisman paper and a writing brush from his bag.

He began to craft a talisman on the spot.

After drawing the talisman, Taoist Li waved his hand, and the charm ignited itself, floating up into the air.

Everyone in the private dining room was stunned.

Only Yin Tian couldn't suppress a smirk. He hadn't expected Taoist Li to resort to such lowly charlatan tricks.

"What are you laughing at!" Su Changhe, seeing Yin Tian snickering to himself, immediately rebuked him.

"Exactly, don't you see Taoist Li is in the middle of a ritual!" another member of the Su Family said.

Some divine ritual my ass, thought Yin Tian, grinning to himself as he glanced at Mr. Wang.

Then he said to him, "Those magic talismans are wholesale on Pinduoduo for less than fifty cents each, and you're in for a violent mishap. It'd be best if you stay put in this room and don't fall for the tricks of charlatans."

"Enough, Yin Tian!"

Just as Yin Tian kindly warned Mr. Wang about the impending disaster, he looked up to see Su Changhe staring furiously at him.
