Lucian walked to their table and slightly smiled while asking:
"Will you be ordering four plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg?" At the same time, he meaningfully glanced at the twins.
After hearing the owner's words and sensing his gaze on them, Cody and Coby's closed eyes widened.
"Do you know-"
"What we are?"
Lucian indifferently replied:
"It's not hard to identify an Oculith."
The Oculith Race, or sometimes also called the Thousand-Eyed Demon, specialized in both defensive and offensive eye skills. What was most intriguing about the Oculiths was that they were always born as twins. Although they possessed different major organs, their Mana Veins were connected with their twin and vice versa. Therefore, even though the twins were only Blood Tempering Mages, they possessed even more Mana and strength than the Rabbitkin and the grumpy white-robed Human Mage.
Cody and Coby were surprised. Not many knew about the Oculith Race.
Lucian did not care for their surprise. Oculiths were strong but they were still not the strongest ocular Race.
"So, will that be four plates of Siren's Melody poached Egg?" Lucian asked again since Garrett had not answered his earlier question.
Breaking out of his daze, Garrett unconsciously nodded, but his expression was not that good, "Yes." His expression was as if he was forced to eat a Siren's dung and had no choice but to obey. The owner was too strong. Most importantly, his Siren's Melody Poached Egg was a cheat in helping Mages.
Forget about the long and hard process of absorbing Mana. Just a single Siren's Melody Poached Egg contained more Mana than what he had absorbed after a full month.
The owner was someone he could not afford to offend.
"Okay, your four plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg will be out shortly." When Garrett ordered four plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg Lucian was overjoyed, but outwardly, his face remained unchanged.
He turned around and started walking to the kitchen but before he reached halfway to the kitchen, an enraged shout made him halt his footsteps.
"What the fuck is this!? You greedy Human! How dare you char- HhmMPH!"
Garrett panicked and sweat poured down his face when he heard Hervy's words. Immediately, he elbowed the side of his gut and shut his friend's mouth with a layer of Earth.
He stood up and bowed to Lucian and then respectfully said:
"Owner, please forgive my friend. He was dropped on his head a few times when he was still a baby."
Lucian shrugged his shoulders, deciding not to bother with the grumpy Human Mage. Ever since he had entered the restaurant, Lucian had expected him to blow a fuse.
"Just make sure it doesn't happen a second time." Lucian indifferently responded and entered the kitchen.
After Garrett saw the owner enter the kitchen, he frowned and turned to Hervy whose face was as red as a tomato.
"I'll remove my Earth Binding only if you listen to my words."
Hastily, Hervy nodded like a chick pecking at rice. He needed oxygen or he was afraid he would die.
After he felt his mouth was no longer sealed, hastily, he took deep breaths. Never had he thought that his Captain would one day almost kill him.
Even though Hervy had almost 'died' Lane, Cody, and Coby remained indifferent. They were used to Hervy's antics. It seemed he had a knack for infuriating people.
Lane continued to read the menu. His fascination for the restaurant and owner increased with each second. Before they had entered the restaurant, they had already been briefed about the price of the only dish.
Cody and Coby wondered how the owner knew of their Race. They had never even told their party members.
After Hervy's face returned to its normal rosy white color, Garrett leaned in closer to him and whispered, "Didn't I tell you not to act like your normal self?"
"But Cap-"
Garrett narrowed his eyes, causing Hervy to close his mouth.
Lane, who was calmly reading the menu curiously asked:
"Captain, did the Siren's Melody Poached Egg really cause you to break through?"
Garrett nodded and confidently said:
"Just wait and you will see, the price is worth it. When has your Captain ever lied to you?"
Suddenly, waves of rich fragrance wafted out from the kitchen.
Immediately, they turned their heads in the direction of the kitchen and looked through the window.
Garrett licked his lips and took in deep whiffs of the aroma.
"Ahh! This is it. The smell of egg, sweet and spicy."
Hervy was stunned. He had never smelled something so fragrant.
Lane was so engrossed in the smell that the menu from his hands dropped onto the table.
"This… I bet not even the High-Elves have smelled something this fragrant."
Cody and Coby subconsciously nodded to Lane's comment.
*Guruguru*
At the same time, five stomachs rumbled and their hunger only increased as the door was pushed open and Lucian walked out with four plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg.
Even though Chef Lucian was not a waiter, he had learned the technique from his employee. With a plate on his right palm and four plates running up his forearm, he calmly walked up to their table and placed each plate in front of the hungry patrons.
"Your four plates of Siren's Melody Poached Egg, please enjoy!"
When the white gold-rimmed plate was placed in front of them, their bodies swayed and their eyes glazed.
A rich, eggy fragrance with hints of sweetness, spiciness, and herbal fragrance rushed into their nostrils.
Their mouths uncontrollably salivated, causing them to swallow quickly.
They were shocked. Previously, Garrett had mentioned the mouthwatering, hypnotizing dish of this restaurant, but they had still been skeptical.
But now… they silently swore they would never doubt their Captain… ever again.
At the same time, they also thought, if the dish smelled just as good as their Captain had said, then did that not mean this dish was capable of helping them breakthrough?
