Who would have thought Yandere women actually existed? Chef Lucian's pursuit and love for anime, especially his love for Yandere women, paid off.
Who did not want a partner that loved you and only you?
In her world, only you existed!
Not having to worry about your partner cheating on you, made life a thousand times easier.
'I just hope they don't kill each other… and me when we all finally reunite.'
Lucian was unsure how to deal with the inevitable, but for now, he would let the future Lucian deal with it.
The present Lucian had another major problem, and that was… to remove the Orc from his restaurant… as quickly as possible!
Lucian walked out of the kitchen and started counting.
'Three.'
'Two.'
'One.'
As soon as Lucian finished counting down to one, a sudden but expected series of events unfolded.
From a safe distance, Lucian watched as the Orc, who had been cosplaying a seductress, stiffened.
Suddenly, "Argghh" Garrett clutched his chest and let out a bestial roar of pain. Sweat poured down his face, and he struggled to breathe. Staggering backward, he fell out of the chair but could not be bothered.
Using his Mana Sense, he attempted to investigate the cause of his pain and was shocked by what he found.
Within his body, his bones were shaking!
But before he could think further, he collapsed on the ground and continuously vomited blood. His face paled and contorted in agony, but there was a glimmer of excitement and determination in his eyes. He hurriedly took out a healing potion from his spatial ring, uncorked the bottle, and drank it in one go.
Only then did Garrett breathe out a sigh of relief and smile.
Seeing that Garrett was relaxing, for a split second, Lucian frowned.
"Unless you want to live without bones, you should focus on forming and tempering your bones."
The expression on Garrett's face froze, but before he could respond, suddenly, he crumbled to the ground. Immediately after, fear overtook him as he closed his eyes and concentrated.
Lucian merely shook his head as he looked at the pile of flesh.
'What an amateur. He just broke through and became a Bone Tempering Mage, yet before he started tempering his bones, he started relaxing.'
Then, Lucian continued out loud, "By the way, if you are going to fail and thus die, please remember to pay first."
'...' Garrett wanted to curse but chose to remain tight-lipped and continued concentrating. He was too close to breaking through to lose this chance.
Mana from the air gathered, forming several vortexes around the crumbled mound of flesh in worn-out leather armor.
'This will take some time.' Lucian sighed. After taking one final glance at the transparent vortexes, he walked around the vortexes, grabbed the chair that was on the ground, and neatly pushed the chair back in place.
The entire building was fortified by the System with powerful Runic Symbols. Unless an Immortal Mage found a way to bypass the Laws of the Universe and descend on Arcada… and for some reason attack his restaurant, his restaurant would continue to maintain its pristine form.
After grabbing Garrett's plate and utensils, Lucian walked into the kitchen and opened the dishwasher. He unloaded the dishwasher, placed the used plate and utensils inside, and then closed it. With a push of a button, the dishwasher started, and he began placing the now clean equipment, plate, and utensils into the cabinets.
After placing everything in the correct cabinets, Lucian washed and dried the oven top with two separate cloths. Maintaining a clean kitchen was a must if you wanted to run a successful restaurant.
After a minute, Lucian satisfactorily nodded at his clean kitchen and walked out of the kitchen with an indifferent face.
Even after a few minutes, Garrett was still a pile of flesh no different from a green slime in leather armor.
Calling it grotesque would be an understatement and rude to the word 'grotesque'.
The thing in front of him was… vile.
'I should have collected the payment for the meal before he started breaking through.' Lucian thought as he sat down in a chair and gazed out into the street.
Warm light from the rising sun pierced through the window and illuminated his body. He slowly closed his eyes contentedly.
Meanwhile, Garrett was stricken with fear. He had only just realized how hard it was to create new bones. Even after a few minutes, he still had not created a single bone.
The adult skeleton was made up of 206 bones. Without bones, he would have to live the rest of his life as an Orc jelly. He would no longer be able to walk or run, which meant he would no longer be able to work as an adventurer.
In his family of three he was the sole food provider. His mother was bedridden and he refused to let his kind and gentle little sister work as an adventurer. The life of an adventurer was tough, and there was no telling when you would die.
'I have to succeed.'
Suddenly, unknown to Garrett, tendrils of black lightning snaked across the surface of the transparent vortexes.
*Boom*
*Zzzzt*
Lucian had only closed his eyes for less than a minute when he heard lightning followed by a familiar surge of an ancient, evil aura.
Opening his eyes, he glanced toward the source, the Human... Orc jelly surrounded by five vortexes. Each vortex had black tendrils of lightning.
Lucian narrowed his eyes and looked at the tattoos on Garrett's arms, which were now glowing and absorbing the black lightning. 'Abbysal Curse. How did a Mortal come into contact with the Abyss?'
Previously, Lucian had thought Garrett was a mutated Orc. Yet, his guess was far from correct. That evil, demonic aura could only belong to the creatures of the Abyss.
Sensing the threat, the Orc posed on its Host, the System hastily said, [Host, the System recommends to quickly kill that cursed abomination before he grows stronger. Attacking him now while he is weak and defenseless is your best chance.]
At the same time as the System spoke in Lucian's head, it thought of contacting its mistress but hesitated.
'Mistress is currently busy… but if I don't inform her then she will get mad.' After a moment of hesitation, it decided to inform its mistress once she finished creating the robotic.
Lucian indifferently chuckled.
[No person is born evil. Even the so-called 'evil' Race, Abyssal Demons are the same. They are merely evil due to growing up in a horrid, kill-or-be-killed environment.]
The System wanted to retort but hesitated and then decided against it.
Lucian glanced at the rapidly increasing tendrils of black lightning, which looked as though they wanted to devour the vortexes, and closed his eyes.
With his current non-existent strength, there was nothing he could do to aid Garrett. If he wanted to survive, it would be up to him.
Although Garrett was not the smartest person, he was not an idiot either. After a few trials and errors as well as remembering what he had read about Bone Tempering Mages from the Blackthorne family library, he controlled the Mana from his Mana veins to pour into the pile of powder. The pile was huge, after all, it contained his 206 bones.
After twenty minutes, the gray powder began emitting a brown luster because of his Earth Element-infused Mana.
Suddenly, the pile of powder as if it had a mind of its own rose and shot off into different parts of his body.
Soon, faster than a blink of an eye, the gray, brown-lustered powder started expanding, causing him to grit his teeth in pain. He felt as if his body was being pulled and shredded into pieces. Before long, he lost consciousness.
'He fell unconscious from such little pain?' With a sigh, Lucian stood up, waited for the Mana Vortexes to disappear, and walked up to the completely, different-looking Orc. His height was still the same, approximately seven feet tall. His muscles that could be seen from a mile away had shrunk and were now barely noticeable. The five-inch tusks shrank and became an inch long. Surprising of all, his green skin tone, which was common among all Orcs, had become a healthy brown. On the top of his once bald head was now long, untamed dark-brown hair.
Overall, he went from an Orc to a handsome young man.
[What happened to the Abyssal Curse?] Lucian frowned when he could not see the black vein-like tattoos. He was sure Garrett was still cursed by the Abyss. If a Bone Tempering Mage could easily remove the Abyssal Curse, the Abyss would become a laughingstock.
[Host, the Abyssal Curse has merged with the Orc's body. He is now an Abyssal creature. The System still recommends the Host to swiftly eliminate the possible threat.]
Lucian frowned.
[Abyssal creatures are truly a pain in the ass.] As for the System's recommendation, Lucian simply ignored it. Garrett's connection to the Abyss could prove useful in the future.
