At first glance, it looked no different from a regular watch. The watch itself wasn't a smart one, but it was an analog one. Grabbing it, she felt indifferent, even though the watch emitted an otherworldly magical gold aura surrounding it.
"Seriously, whose watch is this? Is there anything special about it?" Alina asked herself as she inspected the watch. There was no strange writing, or any strange engraving on the watch itself, just a normal watch all and all. Then, as she observed the watch more, her Magnify skill automatically activated.
[Casio HI-GST-B600D-1A-HOLO]
A holographic analog watch often used by the elite members of the House of Ingrid. This watch includes a holographic map, and a health diagnostic system, alongside the ability to be connected to any smart device. Did you just find my watch, Alina? Don't break it, ok? You can use it by sweeping your hand on top of the watch. :)
Is Ingrid watching me, right now?
The thought was certainly creepy. Alina quickly shrugged it off. Surviving was difficult enough for her, adding a vampire overlord on top of her head was not in the best of her interest. The thought aside, she swooped her hand on top of the watch.
A holographic screen projected itself on top of the watch, giving an OLED TV-like screen appearance, which was both solid to the touch and had great color clarity. Ingrid wasn't lying when she said the watch also displayed maps and general health status.

"Ok? Should I just wear this?" Alina looked at the watch in confusion.
When she woke up, she initially thought she somehow ended up in a fantasy world.
When she found the infirmary, she thought the world had modern technologies.
And now, she found a smartwatch with a holographic screen.
And what does even a 20:00 P.M. means? Eight o'clock in the evening? Was it just a typo? She had no idea. However, the worst assumption was that this world has 48 hours in a single day rather than 24 hours.

"Neat." Alina nodded. Then, as she tightened the watch, she felt a painless prick on her wrist. The watch display then changed. It displayed her name alongside her general health status.

Alina then opened the map inside the watch. The map pointed her right to a place called Inner Sanctum, a location marked on the map inside of Sundown National Forest. So, upstate New York? Surely it couldn't have been a coincidence.
She then zoomed out of the map, the location surrounding the forest wasn't familiar to her, immediately swooping out the possibility that she was in the States. She continued to zoom out until everything turned into pieces of the continent.
It was not Earth. But at the same time, it was Earth as she looked at a Texas-shaped continent on the south part of where she was standing.
So, was she in the future? But how could the continent get split into pieces like that? The United States wasn't intact, neither did Canada, or Russia. The UK was also gone from the map. The African continent was also split into five. China also became a continent.
"How in the world?" Alina was perplexed by the change, one could only face so much in a day if a day was still as long as a day. The watch told so much about the situation outside. However, she needed to get out of here.
Using the search function on the watch, she searched for the nearest village from here. It sounded idiotic from the start, but hey, it might work. A village showed up, it was the nearest village, only 20 kilometers away from the inner sanctum.
"20 kilometers? What does that mean? A place very far away from here?" Alina asked herself before saving the location and asking for a direction to the map.
[Adding Direction - Do you need guidance?]
"Yes?"
All of a sudden, the watch projected a line on the floor. A straight glowing line. It was on the floor as long as the watch was pointed down, talking about conveniences. She felt uncomfortable in here.
Then, she realized something. This looked like another preacher hall, but with a lighter tone of color, and the chairs were painted white instead of the natural wood color. So, would someone be giving its preacher here? Ingrid, probably? Whatever, when she met that woman, she'd ask her questions.
Nevertheless, it made her more appreciative of the watch on her hand, despite the condition of the furniture surrounding her, the watch somehow still worked. Maybe it was something they said about Japanese engineering.
"Right, time to get out of here," Alina unsheathed her saber from her Blood Inventory. The sword felt somehow lighter.
Wait, it meant that this saber was very heavy, right? So, Alina swung a more than ten-kilogram sword as if it was the lightest saber she ever swung, and the moment she swung it again, it felt way lighter than when she was fighting the drake.
Alina made a bunch of swings using her saber. She then theorized something, if using a spell was as easy as using her Blood Inventory, shouldn't using a sword spell be equally easy? Using her own thoughts, she then used Bloody Swing.
Blood leaked out from her right hand and coated the dark saber. She then swung it sideways. An arc made from blood flew from the swinging motion, cutting two pew chairs in front of her at once.
"Damn, that's powerful."
Her watch then gave two small rectangular bars, acting as some sort of meter for her Blood Points and her Aether capacity. It consumed an eighth of her BP. She then thought of the skill again and swung her sword once more, the arc flew forward until it hit a wall and caused damage to it. Now, 1/8 of her BP was gone.
"I should use this ability sparingly..." Alina muttered. "Who knows what would happen if my BP is gone?"
The bar then refilled gradually, albeit slower than what she expected from magic in a game. If blood-centric ability used Blood Points, then regular magical skill used Aether energy, wouldn't it? With her saber, she then made a small slit on her arm, a minor scratch wound that would require no stitch, but still painful enough for her to feel pain.
"Let's see, Pausa Doloris," Alina said, putting her hand floating on top of the small slit she made with her saber. The pain was gone, immediately, even though the blood was still flowing out of her arm. "Impressive..." She then used Regeneration on the wound and it slowly stopped bleeding out and eventually, the wound closed in seconds.
"That's not something you'd expect in the real world," Alina added, looking at the wound which was now sealed. It was not a deep wound, but for it to heal that quickly, it was a miracle. With this, minor scratches would no longer be a concern for her.
Bolstering with courage from her new abilities, Alina felt confident that she could face the outside world. She had a sword and a gun, alongside a plethora of healing spells. Following the line, she eventually encountered a half-open decrepit wooden door. Pushing it forward, she fully opened the door and embraced the outside air.
"Finally, fresh air."
