Chapter 19
"Bun in the Oven"
Zibah and Alex were overjoyed when they discovered they were expecting a baby. They had been trying for a while, and it seemed like the perfect timing. They were finally settled and secure in their relationship, and they were ready to start a family.
Zibah was thrilled to be pregnant, and she felt a sense of purpose and fulfillment that she had never felt before. She was excited to meet their little one and to start this new chapter in their lives.
Alex was equally thrilled, and he was very supportive and caring throughout the pregnancy. He accompanied Zibah to all her doctor's appointments and was always there to hold her hand and offer words of encouragement.
Zibah quickly grabbed her phone and dialed Jasmine's number, barely containing her excitement. As soon as Jasmine answered, Zibah blurted out the news: "Jasmine, I'm pregnant! Alex and I are having a baby!"
Jasmine squealed with delight, "Oh my god, Zibah! That's amazing news! Congratulations, you two! I'm so thrilled for you!"
Zibah laughed, feeling overjoyed. "Thanks, Jasmine! We're beyond happy. We can't wait to meet our little one."
Jasmine asked, "How's Alex handling the news? I know he's always wanted to be a dad."
Zibah smiled, "He's over the moon! He's already planning all sorts of adventures for when the baby arrives. He's going to be an amazing father."
Jasmine chuckled. "I can imagine. Well, you two are going to make incredible parents. I'm so honored to be a part of your journey. When's the due date?"
Zibah replied, "We're due in about seven months. We can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy."
Jasmine exclaimed, "I'm so excited for you both! I'll be there every step of the way. Let's plan a baby shower soon!"
Zibah grinned, feeling grateful for her friend's love and support. "That sounds perfect, Jasmine. Thanks for being such an amazing friend."
As they chatted, Zibah felt a sense of joy and contentment wash over her. She knew that she, Alex, and their little one were going to have a beautiful life together, surrounded by love and support.
Jasmine and Zibah continued to chat, making plans for the baby shower and discussing all the details of the pregnancy. Zibah shared her hopes and dreams for her child's future, and Jasmine listened with a warm and supportive ear.
As they talked, Zibah felt a sense of peace wash over her. She knew that she and Alex were ready for this new chapter in their lives, and she was grateful to have friends like Jasmine who would be there to support them every step of the way.
Zibah: "Jasmine, I'm so glad we're friends. You're always there for me, and I appreciate it so much."
Jasmine: "Aww, Zibah, I'm glad we're friends too! You're an amazing person, and I'm honored to be a part of your life. And now, I get to be a part of your baby's life too!"
Zibah: "Yes, you do! And I know you're going to be an amazing aunt to our little one. We're so grateful to have you in our lives."
Jasmine: "I'm grateful to have you both in my life too. So, have you thought about any names for the baby yet?"
Zibah: "Actually, we have! We've decided on Ethan if it's a boy, and Emily if it's a girl."
Jasmine: "I love those names! They're perfect. And I'm sure your little one will be just as perfect."
Zibah: "Thanks, Jasmine. We're really excited to meet our baby and start this new chapter in our lives."
Jasmine: "I'm excited for you both too! And I can't wait to meet the little one and spoil them rotten!"
Zibah: "We're looking forward to it too! And we know that with friends like you, our baby is going to be loved and supported every step of the way."
Jasmine: "Absolutely! We're all in this together, and I'm honored to be a part of your journey."
Zibah and Alex decided to share the exciting news with Ariana, their other close friend. They gave her a call and couldn't wait to hear her reaction.
Ariana answered the phone, and Zibah blurted out the news: "Ariana, we're having a baby! Alex and I are going to be parents!"
Ariana screamed with excitement, "Oh my gosh, congratulations! That's amazing news! I'm so happy for you both!"
Alex chimed in, "Thanks, Ariana! We're beyond thrilled. We can't wait to meet our little one."
Ariana asked, "Do you know the due date? And have you found out the gender yet?"
Zibah replied, "We're due in about seven months, and we've decided not to find out the gender until the baby arrives. We want it to be a surprise!"
Ariana exclaimed, "I love that! It's going to be such a special moment when you find out. I can't wait to meet the baby and give them lots of love and snuggles."
Zibah and Alex both laughed, knowing that Ariana was going to be an amazing aunt to their child. They chatted for a while longer, making plans for Ariana to come over and visit soon.
As they hung up the phone, Zibah turned to Alex and said, "I'm so grateful for our friends. They're going to be such a big part of our baby's life, and I know they'll help us navigate parenthood with love and support."
Alex nodded in agreement, "Absolutely. We're lucky to have them in our lives."
Ariana asked, "So, have you guys thought about the baby's room? Are you going to find out the gender and decorate accordingly or keep it neutral?"
Zibah replied, "We've actually already started working on the nursery! We've decided to go with a neutral theme, so it works for either a boy or a girl. We're thinking a soft gray and white color scheme with adorable little animals and clouds."
Ariana squealed, "That sounds adorable! I can't wait to see it. And I'm sure the baby will love it too. You guys are going to be such great parents!"
Alex added, "We're trying our best to prepare, but we know it's going to be a learning curve. We're just excited to meet our little one and figure it out together."
Ariana said, "You'll be amazing, I just know it. And I'm here for you guys every step of the way. Whether it's babysitting or just being a listening ear, I'm here."
Zibah and Alex both thanked Ariana for her support and love, feeling grateful for their friendship and the excitement they shared for the new baby.
As they wrapped up their conversation, Zibah turned to Alex and said, "You know, I think we're really lucky to have friends like Jasmine and Ariana. They're going to be such a big part of our baby's life, and I know they'll help us navigate parenthood with love and support."
Alex nodded in agreement, "Absolutely. We're lucky to have them in our lives. And I know our baby is going to love having them as a part of their life too."
Ariana asked, "So, have you guys thought about parenting styles? Are you going to be helicopter parents or more laid-back?"
Zibah laughed, "Well, we've talked about it, and I think we're going to try to find a balance. We want to be involved and supportive, but also give our child the freedom to learn and grow independently."
Alex added, "And we're going to make mistakes, no doubt about it. But we're willing to learn and adapt as we go."
Ariana nodded, "That's the perfect approach, in my opinion. And I'm sure you'll figure it out as you go. You're both such loving and caring people, and that's all that really matters."
Zibah smiled, feeling grateful for Ariana's encouragement. "Thanks, Ariana. That means a lot coming from you. We're just excited to meet our little one and start this new chapter in our lives."
Ariana said, "I'm excited for you both too! And I can't wait to meet the baby and spoil them rotten!"
As they chatted, Zibah and Alex felt grateful for their friendship with Ariana and Jasmine. They knew that with their support and love, they could face whatever challenges parenthood brought their way.
After the call, Zibah turned to Alex and said, "You know, I think we're really lucky to have found each other. We're in this together, and I know we'll be amazing parents."
Alex smiled, taking her hand in his. "I couldn't agree more, Zibah. We're a team, and together, we can handle anything life throws our way."
After the call, Zibah hung up the phone and turned to Alex with a smile. "Jasmine is thrilled about the baby," she said, "and she can't wait to meet our little one."
Alex grinned, putting his arm around her shoulders. "I'm so glad we have her in our lives," he said. "And I'm even more glad that we have each other. We're going to be amazing parents, Zibah."
Zibah leaned into his embrace, feeling happy and content. "We sure are," she said. "And we're going to face whatever comes next together, as a family."
As they hugged, Zibah felt a sense of excitement and anticipation for the future. She knew that there would be challenges ahead, but she was ready to face them head-on, knowing that she had Alex and their little one by her side.
The months passed quickly, and soon Zibah was holding her beautiful baby boy in her arms. She and Alex gazed into his eyes, feeling a sense of wonder and awe at the little person they had created.
As they looked at their son, Zibah knew that she and Alex had made a beautiful life together, and she was grateful for every moment they shared.
As the months went by, Zibah's belly grew, and she felt their baby kicking and moving inside her. She loved feeling the little one's movements and couldn't wait to hold them in her arms.
Finally, the day arrived, and Zibah gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. They named him Ethan, and he was perfect in every way.
Zibah and Alex were both besotted with their little one, and they spent hours gazing into his eyes and cuddling him close. They were both natural parents and took to parenthood like ducks to water.
As they navigated the ups and downs of parenthood, Zibah and Alex were grateful for the love and support they had for each other. They knew that their relationship was strong enough to withstand any challenge, and they were excited to see what the future held for their little family.
As they looked into Ethan's eyes, they knew that their love had created something truly special, and they were grateful for every moment they spent together.
And so, Zibah, Alex, and Ethan lived happily ever after, surrounded by love, laughter, and adventure.
