"Mr. Chu, how long have you been here?" Gerard glared at Abby before turning to Chu Nan with a smile filled with enthusiasm, "Why didn't you let me know in advance that you were coming? I could have arranged for a car to pick you up; this place is a bit far out!"
"Alright, let's not talk about that, let's eat first! We can talk about the other things after I finish eating!" Chu Nan pointed at the dishes on the table with his chopsticks, "That meat dish over there is one I love, so you leave it alone. And that dish on the side, it's my girlfriend's favorite, so don't touch that either. As for the rest, you help yourself to whatever!"
"Uh... well... it looks like mostly everything else has already been eaten... There's not much left to eat," Gerard said, touching his nose and looking at the almost empty plates, unsure of how to proceed.
"Isn't there a dish of pickles over there? Just eat those!" Chu Nan pointed casually at a small dish of pickles.
