The spider woke up to a barely audible rustling not far from him. It was quiet but annoying, like a mosquito's squeak on a summer night. Asleep, he did not immediately realize that there was something wrong and that the rustling was not for nothing!
Trying not to move, he opened his eyes and looked around. Ten centimeters away from his hiding place there was a tail swarming around. Or not a tail, but rather a part of an oblong body. Its owner slowly turned toward him. "He must have smelled it, the bastard!" If this thing is not afraid to go into the spider's lair, then it is a "creature".
The scolopendra came at him with all its speed. But our spider wasn't too shabby either. He jumped up with all his spider strength, flipped in the air and clung to the ceiling. Scolopendra missed because of this maneuver and crashed with all his might into the hole where he had just been sleeping. Pushing off again, the spider swooped down on top of it, sinking its jaws into the side of its uninvited guest. There was a furious squeak, too bad he didn't have any venom. A quick immobilization of the thing would have done the trick.
The scolopendra twisted, leaving a piece of its belly in the spider's jaws, and swung itself right at its head, trying to bite down on the root. Seeing its trajectory perfectly, thanks to his dynamic vision, the spider quickly backed away, and the creepy creature's face crashed into the ground in front of his paws. "Strange, I wasn't that fast before, was I?
Oh, that's right! I've strengthened my muscles!" the thought was sudden. But just as suddenly it disappeared from his mind as it had appeared, as he focused his attention on the ongoing battle. Without waiting for the enemy to regain his balance, he swung at her and ripped another piece out with his jaws, now closer to her head. The squeak was now more painful than furious.
With a quick jerk, the scolopendra ducked right under the spider. It tried to leap aside, but missed the right moment and instead set its belly up for the blow. Her jaws sank into the chitin without mercy. "That hurts so bad, you filthy millipede! I'm going to break you into polynomials right now!" The spider was slammed into the ceiling of the tunnel. The scolopendra was not going to let go of its victim, chewing its belly vigorously. At the same time, it began to curl around him, apparently trying to limit his mobility.
Ironically, her belly, damaged by the first attack, was closest to the spider's jaws. It didn't take long for him to lash out with his entire body, aided by his increased strength, and slammed into her weakest point. The muscles had increased their strength even in its jaws, so that its chitinous defenses broke very easily, though his jaws could hardly withstand such a load. When the creature finally split in half, the spider's jaws couldn't take it and gave a large crack. "Damn it's crippled again!"
The scolopendra had already managed to bite a healthy hole in its belly, but when the spider bit its body in half, it lost the lion's share of its footing, and thus its strength. From the pain that tormented it, the creature cowered in agony, releasing the spider from its chews. He quickly caught its head in his mangled jaws and squeezed it with force. Our hero managed to punch the scolopendra's head through, but in the process it twisted so that it ripped off one of his chelicerae.
"Shhhh.... This hurts so bad! I'm crippled again. My belly is bobo. Mouth bobo...," he looked at the half of the scolopendra beating in death agony, trying to cheer himself up and endure the pain that tormented his mind. The gnawed tail was already quiet and gave no sign of life. A little more and the second part would finally die. But we couldn't relax either.
Our spider, keeping the remnants of reason and consciousness, tried to keep an eye on the situation around him. If any more creature crawled in here on the smell of blood and scattered entrails, and he would pass out, that would be it. "Hang in there, insect!
The world still needs you! You'll fucking fuck it up! So bear with it wimp!" he mentally tried to cheer himself up and piss himself off as best he could. You can't lose consciousness and let things go. Even dirty thoughts about how he would become human again, and fuck everything that moved. If he doesn't die in these woods, he'll get himself some girls! He'll get rich, have lots of kids, and be a happy man in every sense.
Half an hour later, the belly stopped bleeding. A new chelicerae had already begun to grow in place of the jaws, still pale pink and small, but growing. After another two hours, the belly was only slightly sore, and the chelicerae was already half its original size. "Amazing regeneration ability I have!", this ability was indeed useful. There was no telling if it could be transferred to the next body.
For now, the surroundings were quiet, and nothing heralded another attack. The attacking scolopendra was a loner, probably hunting at night too. The spider lay motionless for another two hours until its chelicerae began to harden. Once its hardness was fully restored, he proceeded to eat the bastard creature that had tried to eat him.
"You're going to eat me!!!? I'll eat you myself! Come here, you dog shit!" he huffed from his past life as he got close to the tail and proceeded to devour his defeated foe. The tail took him only ten minutes. Finished with the back part of the centipede, he proceeded to the head part. After another fifteen minutes, the spider finished it off.
After gorging himself to the max, and collapsing into his favorite hole, he summoned his status, breathing heavily. "Status! and the Tree of Transformation!"

"Hmm... OJS consumption has increased. Why wasn't this written about before? Apparently the description is very approximate, doesn't reflect all the hidden features. I'll have to think better about what I'm doing. So, I have a few free points, since it's almost dawn and I have nothing to do, let's evolve. What should I choose? The polynomials are out of the question, for fuck's sake. I like being a spider already. And stealth isn't a cure-all, they'll find me someday. And in today's scribe, stealth would never help me, only strength and agility. Well, let's start there. My strength has increased by wild amounts and my body can't take it. Especially my jaws. Should we develop them? No, what about the rest of my body? Why don't we get a shell? That's a good idea. The jaws are also chitinous, so they'll have more strength. They're strong enough for me. So we'll go with the Heavy Spider Shell.
After making his choice, the spider lost consciousness again. It didn't depend on him, since the body is shut down during the transformation. But still, our hero had to take the risk, and hope that some unknown shit wouldn't happen during this time.
