Michelle could also sense that he knows she is following him but decided to enjoy the fact that they both are taking their time to focus on what they truly want to concentrate on.
The queue had drastically reduced when Michael went to join in to pay his bills. He wondered why Michelle won't stop staring and stalking him. "Is this the person the lawyer has appointed to confirm what my steps would be from now on? Should I Confront her?" He concluded she was a lady after examining through the show glass in front of him while he settled his bills.
"Or is she just an admirer? I have not been out there in about four years now, right? There is no way she recognizes me with my last information on social media" Michael decided to turn back to face her hoping to scare her off but couldn't find her, he looked around but she was nowhere to be found. He collected his receipt from the cashier and pushed his cart all the way to the security stand.
Michelle hurriedly went back to pick the hair accessory she came for, paid for it and rushed out to look for Michael. Disappointed that he had already left, she walked around the park but found him after he pressed a button that closed down his boot and came down to open his front door.
"Hey" she called out but her voice was so hoarse that no one could hear her at the park. She moved down to him quickly before he opened his car and stretched forth his wallet filled with money bowing her head to avoid catching him off guard.
Michael remembered he actually couldn't find his wallet at the counter and had to pay with his store credit card instead but he had no clarity that he dropped it whilst shopping in the store. He ignored her completely, he wanted to piss her off enough to see her full face, even if her figure was enticing to him, he opened his car to sit before Michelle made him halt by flinging his wallet into his car seat.
Michael ran up to Michelle who walked off like she was pissed and held her shoulder to make her stop. He noticed her clean casual hoodie covering every part of her body but he could finally see her face after making a turn while still holding her down with his hand. A thought formed in his mind.
Her dark face glowed almost blinding him, her large hazel eyes, slightly chubby nose, pronounced cheekbones, plump lips and overall harmonious proportions. He has never seen an angelic face all his life.
He felt the pit of his stomach go hot ,he wanted to kiss her lips and compliment her but he controlled himself to bring out his business card from his pocket and stretched it towards her hand.
A period of silence went by as they both admired each other's look. Hoping the card he stretched forth would make her stop sending shots with her eyes that pierced his skin telling him she is pissed, Michael almost uttered, "Damn, you are beautiful." But he shook the thoughts off and immediately asked, "do you work here?"
Folding her arms around her stomach to avoid having to collect his business card that he relentlessly won't stop stretching, Michelle smirked.
Michael didn't mind having the opportunity to stare at her longer if she refuses to give him the answer he wants. His eye scan was enough to present him with the results he intended to fulfill his impending desires.
Wondering why he asked after a long trail of stares, Michelle replied with a "why?" Michael instantly replied with a bit of sarcasm even though he knows she would not leave, else she wins looking into her widened eyes and raised head (because of their height difference) "i clearly want to know if that is the case." his line of sight fell graciously to her hand hoping it convinced her enough to get the card from him.
Michelle's eyelid dropped down, her lower lip enveloped that of her upper lips revealing her dimples, she replied with a soft and slightly disappointed "No" moving away from his presence to head over to her house.
Fortunately, Michael could read he just hurt her with his sarcasm. "I am sorry, I was not trying to look down on you. I just needed a bit of clearance." He held her left hand and placed his business card on her palm after making his way to get to her. "Please call, text or come to my office anytime from 9a.m throughout this week. No matter what you decide, I will reply immediately. Trust me, I am at your beck."
Michelle smiled seeing him leave without waiting for her response. She figured he would not be entertaining another "No" from her and him being that polite was enough to make her let his attitude slide. "Was it? or Was that just an excuse to entertainthe man her heart already beats for?"
Michael's face lit up like he just accomplished a lifelong task. "What is wrong with you,du...…..de? What is happening with you? Are you simping? I could hear you clearly from afar" resting his back on the car's front seat with his arms and legs crossed, Tyler stressed his words, placing emphasis on a few to make Michael see how he is presently acting differently.
"What are you here for? I said I would get to yours soon. You just couldn't wait or you just activated your spy alert?" Michael's demeanor turned cold but Tyler was used to him being that way that he comforted.
"Be calm. I ordered for your bath to run whilst I got your message but you were taking longer than usual so I had to come check on you if...(stutters)... Ehm you lost your way or something. You know you could be like that sometimes" Tyler slightly hit his chest with a blow to get Michael to humor him.
"Let's go back to yours. I have a lot to discuss with you. As a matter of fact, you need to be on a secret mission for my sake so I do not lose my target and help this time the way I want to be helped" - retrieving Tyler never does things the way He asks for it to be done. Michael patted Tyler's shoulder causing him to worry more about what is making Michael act all soft and slightly dejected.
Michael drove down to Tyler's, had his bath for longer than usual because he couldn't take the thoughts of Michelle away from his head. "I need to get her to be mine," he uttered after long thoughts of why he couldn't control what he had in mind for Michelle. "I don't even know her name is. Should I have asked? She interests me so much that I hope she will be worth the wait. Oh! I can already tell she will make me wait." His closed lips slightly reached up the middle of his cheeks.
Tyler knocked on Michael's room, "I am coming in" he reached for the door but to his amazement, Michael had already twisted the door knob giving him access while he wiped his wet hair with a towel back to his chair. His sudden momentum bothered Tyler. He knows for a fact that Michael will never be so nice to come open the door for him even if he threatens ever since he was assigned by Michael's father to spy on him during university days.
Although things flipped and worked in Michael's favor getting Tyler fired by Michael's father, they turned out to be best of friends after going back and forth and coming to a mutual agreement with what they both wanted from life and needed from each other. Michael could finally trust Tyler after various indirect tests "Let's hear it, I know you have been looking at me funny for minutes" Michael retired to his armchair.
"First, what is the outcome of your visit with the lawyer? Who was the lady at the store? You have not spoken to anyone for that long except me in two years and she is a lady…. A LADY? What's happening to my best friend?" Tyler's question seemed endless that Michael in his robe had to resort to opening one of his wines to share with Tyler whilst they both discussed the matter at hand.
Tyler couldn't allow him to be distracted so he quickly brought two wine glasses to receive quick answers. "Cheers" Tyler clunk Michael's glass with so much anticipation and enthusiasm.
Michelle could not get Michael's scent out of her mind. His sneaky smile made her raise her eyebrow in disbelief that she feels so much for a stranger. A believer of being straightforward as she claims to be, she had no intentions of falling for anyone, especially one that is a total stranger and with intentions now that she hopes to put her life together before she loses herself.
A phone call came in, it was Michelle's best friend. " Where are you?" Michelle asked. "On my way." Her best friend answered with a glimpse of dissent hoping to get more from the call before driving down to hers.
"Don't take too long" Michelle's voice made it seem like she needed urgent company. "Stay put, I will be right there soon" Ariel sold out a line of care and ended the call.
Michael crossed out his legs, "The lawyer says I have no access to my Father's will unless I get married legally and have my first child." Expecting more than what he just heard from Michael, Tyler kept a straight face marveling at Michael. "you never wanted anything from your father ever since you left two years ago which is why you left in the first place. You told me it was just you that mattered now, why are you stressed over something that trivial?" Tyler didn't stop there. He continued speaking like a motivational speaker aiming to convince the multitudes.
"You own two hotels, a bar, a filling station, lots of estates, you do well for yourself. You must be greedy if you want his properties as extras." Michael couldn't bear his deduction so he vented. "Shut up! Shut up! You this fool, listen more before conclusion. Tyler's heart beat rapidly in shock, he hates when Michael turns cold. He went for a glass of water before coming back to continue his conversation with Michael.
