The next day, Piper asked Prue to meet her after school in her Volvo, so they could talk alone. She was tired and couldn't sleep at all after she got that text from The Killer. She couldn't think of how someone knew about what they did. She was positive that no one was around. It could be a prank but you could never really know.
Prue got into the passenger side of Piper's Volvo and looked over at her friend. "What's up? You sounded worried."
Piper didn't say anything for a good solid minute, a soft sigh escaped her lips. "Somebody knows, Prue. Someone saw us," she whispered, not looking her in the eye.
Prue blinked at her friend, her mouth open wide.
"H-how?"
"I don't know. I got this text from this number—" She took out her phone from her back pocket, showing the text to her. "What if it's someone we know?" She turned to look at Prue for the first time.
Prue looked at the text, her eyes were wide with horror. "How could this have happened? We were so careful." She looked at the other with a frown.
"I know. We need to figure this out before one of us gets hurt. I am going to do what this person says. Our lives are on the line. Especially mine."
"You need to go to the police about this. This killer is threatening you, Piper." She shook her head, and a soft sigh left her lips.
"No police. If I go to the police then they will start asking questions about what happened. I'm not going to jail for that." She gritted her teeth. Was she joking right? If she tells the police about this text, they will both be in trouble and will get life in prison. She doesn't want to even think about what had happened last summer. It was all a mistake and yes they should have gone to the police but they freaked out and weren't thinking right.
"I'm sorry but this is all freaking me out, Piper," Prue said, bringing Piper back to the present. "I just—I don't—"
"Prue, I'm only telling you this because it involves you too. I don't want you to call the police or tell anyone about this. Not until we figure this out—or rather I figure this out."
"Then, I'm going to help you figure this out. Just tell me when you get another text from this guy, okay?" She opened the door, got out of the car, slammed it shut, and walked toward her car.
Piper sighed and watched Prue walk to her car. She leaned her head against the headrest, closing her eyes for a moment before turning her car on and backing out of the school's parking lot.
Once she got home, Prue went up to her room and started doing her homework. Her parents weren't home yet, they were still at work.
Her mind wandered back to the text and to that incident.
There was so much blood. She didn't know that one person could bleed so much. All Piper could hear were bones cracking. Prue is crying and screaming uncontrollably. All she could think about was how they could stash his body.
Piper looked around the small deserted place and spotted a small house. It looked abandoned.
"Prue! I have an idea but you have to stop crying and screaming."
Prue whimpered out. "I-I can't believe this. What the fuck was he doing in the dark?" A fresh wave of tears came down her face.
Piper stood in front of her friend, placing her hands on her shoulders. "We have to do this. We were never here." She looked into her eyes. "Please. Let's do this, okay?"
Prue continued to whimper and nodded her head. "O-okay," she whispered.
Piper nodded. "You see that house over there?" She pointed to the house that wasn't that far away from them both. It reminded her of a dollhouse. "We are going to place the body in there. Underneath the floorboards. It looks abandoned. Do you think you can handle touching him?"
Prue looked at the house then at the body, then at the house, and then back at Piper. "Y-yeah," she said, gulping as she wiped her nose with her sleeve.
After they had carried the body to the dollhouse and put it under the very loose floorboards, they ran to the car and drove off.
They had sworn that they would never speak of it again. Never again.
Piper's phone started to ring, making her jump and break the memory of that one summer night. Blinking, she picked up her phone and it showed that it was from Phoebe.
The killer texted me. They said that they said that they are going to tell my parents about the little fling that Paige and I were in. This is freaking me out. How does this person know about that?
Piper's eyes widen at the text. She immediately called Phoebe.
"This can't be happening!" Phoebe said through the phone after she picked up after the first ring. "He said that he saw pictures of her and me. He said that he's going to send them to my parents if I don't do what he says." Piper could tell that she was crying. "What should I do, Piper?"
Piper's mind was reeling from this. "You should do what this killer says. But I got a text too from this killer. He's asking me to do something for him too. You and I are going to do what he says. Do not say a word to anyone. Not your parents. Not the police. Not your friends either. Got it?"
It was silent for a good few minutes, Piper heard a sniffle. "Yeah, I got it," she whispered.
