"You guys are noisy," Dak said, growing impatient.
He had been waiting to see if Hiruzen would personally come to handle the situation so they could discuss business. However, it seemed he had overestimated the urgency with which Hiruzen viewed the situation.
Although Dak was powerful, no one knew that here. From Hiruzen's perspective, Dak was probably just some small fry from an unknown corner of the world, not worth his personal attention.
Dak quickly formed a plan.
Typically, opening a shop in Konoha would involve negotiating with the village's higher-ups, probably Koharu or Homura.
But Dak wasn't an ordinary person. He needed the Konoha council to recognize the potential of Pokémon, similar to how the Navy initially did.
This wasn't a difficult task for Dak. He already had a plan, but before that, he needed to demonstrate his power to ensure an equal conversation or even to talk from a position of superiority.
His way of showing strength was straightforward and crude.
With a hum, Dak's advanced Conqueror's Haki spread out, knocking out the noisy villagers and approaching ninjas, leaving others unaffected. The remaining onlookers were terrified, seeing the dark red hue and people fainting one after another.
People in the One Piece world might understand what had happened, but in the Naruto world, it was a complete mystery. Many thought they had fallen under some genjutsu.
Understandably, the remaining civilians were scared out of their wits, scattering like chickens.
"Big brother," came two different but equally concerned voices. Dak looked down.
Naruto stared at him with admiration and shining eyes, while Hinata, unable to hold back any longer, started crying.
"Let's go. I'll take you to my place for some food, and then I'll bring you back," Dak said, glancing at the Hokage's office.
He could sense Hiruzen panicking and rushing toward him. But Dak wasn't going to wait.
He planned to take the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and the Hyuga clan princess, causing the Konoha higher-ups some anxiety. He believed that when he returned with Naruto and Hinata, Hiruzen would be more willing to have a serious conversation.
An air door opened in the space behind him, and Dak disappeared with the two kids.
In about ten minutes, Naruto and Hinata stood, bewildered, in the bustling streets of Alliance City.
They were stunned by the lively, unfamiliar environment. Just minutes ago, they had been in Konoha. Now, they were in a completely different place.
Naruto looked up at the blue sky, the tall buildings, and the kind, smiling adults around him, feeling as if he were in paradise.
"Sniff, sniff," came the sound of crying. It was the Hyuga princess.
Hinata, having held back for a long time, broke down in tears upon arriving in this strange new place.
"Don't cry, little one. I'll take you to eat, and then I'll send you back home. I promise," Dak said, crouching and gently tapping Hinata's forehead with a finger.
"Really?"
"Yes."
Dak nodded and took the kids by the hand to explore the city.
It felt good to be in his own city, without all the unnecessary complications. The atmosphere was more positive, reflecting the overall tone of the One Piece world, which tended to be more optimistic than the darker, grittier world of Naruto.
Naruto had likely never seen anything like this.
"What do you want to eat?" Dak asked, noticing the kids' fascination with the new surroundings.
"I... I want that colorful dumpling," Naruto said, hesitantly pointing to a cotton candy stand.
"That's cotton candy. Let's try it. You too, Hinata," Dak said, leading them to the stand.
Hinata glanced at Dak, wondering how he knew her name since she hadn't told him. However, the sight of the pink cotton candy distracted her.
Naruto eagerly bit into the cotton candy, chomping it down like a hungry little animal, while Hinata simply held hers, too captivated to eat it.
Dak smiled, leading them to explore more of the city. He wanted them to fall in love with this place.
After trying various foods and experiencing the local delights, Dak checked the time. It was seven in the evening.
"Do you want to go home now, or should we keep exploring?" Dak asked, smiling at the two kids.
Naruto, feeling full and happy, hesitated, while Hinata looked down, feeling shy.
"I don't want to go back yet," Naruto said, clutching Dak's pants.
"I... I want to keep walking, but... my father and mother will worry," Hinata said, torn between staying and her sense of responsibility.
"Alright. I'll take Hinata home first. Naruto, wait here for me. I'll be back in three minutes," Dak said, picking up Hinata and stepping through a portal.
Naruto watched them disappear, standing still and obediently waiting.
Back in the Naruto world, it had been over two hours since the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and the Hyuga princess were taken, throwing Konoha into chaos.
The Hyuga clan members searched the village, while Anbu and Root members conducted a thorough search of the surrounding areas. However, they found no trace of the kids.
Hiruzen looked worried, with Danzo constantly nagging him, worsening his mood.
"I told you to give the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki to me. If you had listened, this wouldn't have happened!" Danzo said.
"He's Minato's child. I won't let you interfere."
"Now you remember he's Minato's child? Where were you before?" Danzo retorted, resembling a market hag.
Had they not been alone, Danzo wouldn't have been so blunt.
"Report!" an Anbu appeared at the window.
"Speak!"
"Hyuga Hinata has been found in her room, asleep. She remembers nothing of what happened."
"I see. No injuries?"
"None," the Anbu replied, not understanding the implication.
Danzo, however, grasped Hiruzen's concern about the Byakugan.
"Continue searching for Naruto," Hiruzen ordered.
"Yes, sir!" The Anbu vanished.
Hiruzen resumed his worried expression.
"It seems the target was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki. I'm surprised Hinata wasn't harmed. Maybe they didn't need the Byakugan," Danzo mused, considering the stranger's power.
Danzo himself didn't value the Byakugan much, focusing on the Sharingan instead.
"We've never heard of this green-haired man before," Hiruzen said, looking out at the gray sky, sensing a major shift in the ninja world with this newcomer's arrival.
