Immediately the group entered, the door was blocked from inside as to prevent those monsters from entering
As Zephyr watched the movement of the group of zombies from the window, he quickly noticed that some of them were banging on the doors in an attempt to break them down.
However, these doors were completely metal so it was absolutely impossible for them to break through no matter how hard they tried.
The sound of bangs from the metal door had attracted other monsters from the surrounding causing that the group of a few more than fifty soon reached eighty.
This coupled with the sinister atmosphere of the surroundings put them in an alert mood
From what he had observed so far of this monsters, these slow but fatal creatures could sense the presence of any kind of life as well as notice the smell of blood from a close distance or so of distance and even if that wasn't exactly accurate
"There are definitely people in there." Zephyr finally concluded. If not for that reason, then he couldn't think of anything else why the zombies would be so intent on entering and not moving anywhere else considering they weren't even many of them present here
Lex stepped forward, a jet black longsword appeared as he directly attacked the person closest to him
Logan was still inebriated, so how could he react to this kind of surprise attack? His shoulder was instantly impaled by the sword, which was actually the result of Lex avoiding his vitals.
The group became startled as they witnessed their companion being stabbed with a long sword so fast that they could even react
The atmosphere became tense as they surrounded Zephyr sand Lex while drawing their weapons
"How dare you, let him go"
"If you don't, then will attack your friend"
"How Audacious of you to attack a fellow human in times like this"
Lex directly ignored their questioning as he looked at the group of five individuals and asked icily, "You, do you want to live or die? Tell me exactly what happened!"
The sharp pain coming from his shoulder sobered up Logan and at the same time,
"Bastard...You… You dare to ambush me!" Brook didn't feel any panic, instead getting angry. Because he knew the other party would never dare kill him, or else it would be impossible for him to leave this place alive considering they were outnumbered
"Do you believe there are still people who can save you? How ridicul-!!!" Logan was so furious that he laughed. "It won't be long before you're captured by my people " said Logan as he started laughing only to stop as he saw the face of his attacker
Logan directly broke out into a cold sweat, and his lips went pale. He hurriedly said, "Schoolmate, don't be impulsive... we can talk things over..."
Lex took a look at him. Then, his eyes suddenly focused, and he asked, "You are Logan?"
Logan was the School president of Glory University.
Though arrogant, he was an intelligent and competent person and never took his responsibility as a joke often helping those in need. His only bad quality was that he was slightly obsessed with nobility and tended to ignore those of lower standing as him
With a strong family background, outstanding physical abilities, handsome appearance, and tall stature, Jordan was seen as a favored child of heaven in everyone's eyes. He was the kind of person who had won at the starting line of life, but the world just had to be cruel to him with the coming of the apocalypse
Logan was dazed for a while, then excitedly nodded and said, "It's me... Schoolmate, it's good that you know who I am! Being the school president, I must take up responsibility for the safety of the students at a time like this! However, we have limited manpower and got cornered as such we need to unite all the strength we have in order to defeat those monsters!"
Hearing this, Lex mouth curled into a slight smile and asked, "So?"
Logan's expression paled as he stuttered looking for a means to escape till his eyes widened on seeing Zephyr
"Just let him go, we might need help in leaving this place" said Zephyr as he tried easing the tensed atmosphere
Lex gave Zephyr a glance before pulling out his longsword, then turned around and disappeared without saying anything
Logan was dizzy from the beating. It was a while before he came back to his senses and hastily pressed a hand to the wound on his shoulder.
"Y-o-u are..."
This person completely ignored him and just lowered his head, studying the wound on Logan's shoulder.
"Well at least you'll survive, so what are you doing here" asked Zephyr only to get interupted by a loud roar
Just then, a loud roar came from the staircase connecting the third-floor corridor to the rooftop. The entire building seemed to tremble slightly.
The giant zombie had appeared, holding half a zombie's body in its hand, it seemed to be chewing on something, with thick, dirty blood flowing from its mouth.
A soft sigh rang as Zephyr slowly turned and walked to wards the burly creature resembling a tyrant
"Hey, be careful! That monster is very powerful, you better run!"Anna, one of the girls among the group of five shouted after seeing Zephyr slowly approaching the tyrant
Just when everyone thought Zephyr was going to run, he instead raised his long-handled sword and charged towards the roaring tyrant
"Idiot! Really stupid!"
"Overestimating himself! Does he really think he can kill that monster?"
"Seeking death! Truly an idiot, he deserves to die!"
Seeing Zephyr charging at the tyrant, Anna and the others couldn't help but start cursing as they started running away from the scene
The blade of the long-handled sword gleamed with a cold light under the sunlight, a flash that was fleeting. Then, the arm of the tyrant heavily fell to the ground! A large amount of dirty blood spurted out, splattering the nearby corridor's glass with dark purple stains
Just in the initial clash, Zephyr had chopped off an arm of the tyrant
