As I prepared for the ball I was so tired that I started dozing off but then someone screamed my name and I jolted up
" Why are you so sleepy did you read that your book all night again " asked Candace as she brushed my hair and place the tiara on it "
" Yes and the more I translate it to our language the more I think it's fascinating do you know everything we where thought were all lies like what the creation fairy said about her coming back it isn't written any where in the dairy but a big part of the book was looked but then they are some spells and alchemy recipes I must try" I blabbered to them all my findings
" All done " said Ila as she moved closer with a paper in her hands " this is my latest idea for an invention.I want to name it sygma " she said excitedly
" So soon and what does it do" I asked looking curiously at her
She puts a proud face and starts talking " It uses a mana stone to send the messages from one person to another even in far distances and have a security that can not let another person who has the ring to know it only if you want them to know and also you can add friends or reject them and you do this with your vioce as it only functions with the owners vioce" she explained in one breath
" That's so cool and you Candace what did you prepare " I asked and we all turned to look at her
"I haven't yet completed the recipe but by this night I would be done and that would be our first meal in our new palace" she said
Ares decided to send me to the Emperess's palace for our security and for Emerald to be far from the councils eyes and since then our things had been moved there but today we would be entering there after the ball .Sally would be coming back today as per her letter so it would be a reunion for us to discuss our strategy to be rich and for me to gain more power in the palace .
I stood up and then stared at myself at the mirror I wore a navy blue dress and with golden embroidery on it gold bracelet and a diamond necklace with flower ornaments on my hair and the empress tiara on my head " so how do I look "
" Beautiful " said Candace
" Yeah" Ila looked me up and down " nah I you look ugly"
" Ilariah that's rude " shouted Candace
" Is that your full name " I asked as I looked left and right to the both of them .
" Thanks for revealing my real name Celestia" she responded Ila or maybe Ilariah now
" Wait are those your real names "
" Yes they are as our grand mother found three year old me and two year old Ila on her front step the only thing we remembered was our names and then she took us in and raised us till the fairy kingdom falling into the hands of the humans where you saved her but she still died because of over stress and now we are going to serve the person who saved her but our names was a little too long and noble for a commoners like ourselves so when we came to the palace i gave a fake name and ilariah gave her nick name Ila and I completely changed my name and gave Candace "
" Oh but I personally like your names but we would discuss later ,I need to go down please take care of the 2 kids " I said moving to the door "and Candace your name Celestia is very pretty and suits you well " I flashed her a genuine smile
" Thanks" she responded and I departed
" Shouldn't we tell her what we truly are " asked Ila
" No let's wait a little before we decide
What if she rejects us like the other fairies "
" Dehlia isn't like that I am sure she would accept us "
" I hope so "
As I reached the door which led to the ballroom the music inside was already loud and I then saw Ares as he stood there with a blue dress and a white cape that flowed till his knee and then he wore black pants and his blonde hair was comed backwards he looked breath taking .
When I arrived closer to him I bowed and when he lifted his gaze and looked me from head to toe and I saw something flash in his eyes before his normal stoic and cold eyes came back .
Without saying a word he offered me his arm and I took it as the door was opened and the bright light of the ballroom hit my eyes as we entered I saw the ballroom for all its grandeur. Huge chandeliers hanging on the ceiling and lights shown everywhere illuminating the room then as we approached the stairs and started depending it I noticed the people down all dressed in colourful attires and then when we reached the enter of the staircase all the people bowed and the music stopped
" Rise" commanded Ares as the people obeyed him " thank you all for coming for today's ball please enjoy yourselves and let the music continue"
After that everyone resumed talking and then I heard Ares whisper to me" now people would come to greet us just don't disgrace the crown and act as a royal and " he paused and looked at me " don't be nervous I am right here and don't go too far from my side " he concluded and I just nodded
The moment we stepped down the last stairs a swarm of people came to us and started greeting us and some even congratulating me for giving birth to emerald .And even sending her gifts .
After some greetings and conversing one particular group of people advanced to us they where three in total a man and two teenage girls . When they reached us they curtsied and then I examine their features .
The man was as tall as Ares like 6'5, sharp amber eyes, pale skin,a scar running from his left eye to his chin with bulging muscle filled with tattoos and was dressed in leather and fur and had black hair and the girls beside him weren't much different only. For their height nothing more differentiate them .
" Rise " Ares commanded them and they stood before us . I felt the man's eyes sweep over my body and then a sly smile creep up to his lips that made me uncomfortable and I held Ares arm tighter .
" Such a pretty wife you got there Ares" he commented " may I know your name my lady" he asked with that same sly smile
I took a deep breath and with a confident look I offered him my hand and introduce myself" I am Empress Dehlia Aster Logan, veey pleased to meet you" i said with a smile .
He took my hand and kissed it an then he started talking to Ares,feeling bored I excused myself and went to get some fresh air at the terrace.
When I got there I breath in and out then looked around wondering if they where done moving and the kids asleep I also wondered if Sally got home safely she was very dear to me as she was with me in my good and bad days in the palace and my first friend.
" Hey you" I heard someone call out to me from behind and I turned around to see an angry looking girl behind me
She was blonde and was adorned in a red gown which highlighted her pale skin and was covered from head to toe with jewels
" Are you Dehlia " she asked
" I am what do you want " I asked
"I am lady Eloise Martin who was supposed to marry his majesty before you came so I want you to divorce him" she said
This poor naive girl I thought. if it was left to me I would have divorced home long ago and never even married him but some circumstances tied me down" no I cannot do that so please excuse me "
" Ha ,so I wanted it to go nicely but now I would force him to divorce you " she than grappes my hand and pulls me inside where everyone looked at us with curiosity filled in her eyes .
" Listen to me everyone her majesty the Empress wants to perform a song for us " she declared and I stared at her with a shocked expression while she gave me a smug smile. If I failed this and embarrass the royal family Ares would be pressured into divorcing me but emerald would be taken away.
