"What...." Venturing 50 meters away from their shelter, a body of water was found inside the cavern. Mila walked backwards from the water. "I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Water in a cave isn't unrealistic at all." The woman ran past Dimitri and a splash could be heard within the vicinity.
Looking at where she landed, she hopped over 5 meters of distance to jump in the lake.
"I guess this will do for now." He grabbed his wolf rag and hopped into the lake to bathe. As he was scrubbing off the grime, sweat, and dirt, Mila was splashing around the water.
He kept getting hit by the water from Mila slapping its surface, flipping and swimming in the lake but ignored it until he was done counting 300 seconds. Completely scrubbing his body for 5 minutes, he calls over Mila. "Mila come here!"
Mila splashing against the water looked at her master with a smile. The distance she was at made only her head visible because her feet couldn't touch the ground. She starts swimming over to Dimitri at his call.
"I gotta scrub you do-" His body suddenly plummets into the water.
"Hm? Master?" Confused, she didn't get what happened. "Oh! Master wants to play with Mila!! I'm coming Master!" Her lungs expand as she takes in air. She dips her head into the water and opens her eyes.
She looked around to find him but only saw his body being dragged along the sea floor by a creature. Mila while shocked by this, immediately sprung into action.
"My ankle!!" The creature's teeth sunk into his ankle. He started kicking at the beast's head with his other foot but the water pushed back against him. Every kick felt miniscule to him. "Damn, I can't kick hard enough to get it off me." Then suddenly, it's teeth loosened and an indent was engraved into its side. Blood flows from its mouth as a boom was picked up by Dimitri's ears. An arm holds Dimitri and drags him out of the water by his torso. Looking up, he noticed who it was. "Mila?" Finally dragged out of the water, his foot was leaking like a broken faucet.
"Master are yo..." The scent of blood hit her olfactory system. She looked at his ankle and saw holes in it. It was a surprise his foot was still attached to his leg.
"I'm okay Mila, I just have to stop the bleeding" while words did come out of his mouth, Mila couldn't make out a single one. Her heartbeats louder and louder the more she looked at his wound. She grabbed a rock that was around the size of her hand and with her free appendage, shaved off sides of the structure, making a makeshift knife. And just like that, she vanished from his sight. All Dimitri noticed were broken portions of a rock falling to the ground.
"What?! Mila!!" Using the wolf pelt that was supposed to be his towel, he wrapped up his ankle completely. He ties it tightly to apply pressure to the wound. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a way to sanitize it right now.
Unhindered by the constraints the water should have on her, she dove into the water without remorse. She peered upon the land to find the creature that latched itself onto Dimitri's leg but only found a group of that same creature banding together and racing at her.
A four foot long trouth like creature. It had silver like scales that illuminate by absorbing and emitting the photons in the area. It's teeth were razor sharp and could shred through meat like a chainsaw to a thin pillow. It's jaws were like that of a constrictor. It's join virtually dislocates and locks itself before instantly latching onto the target, unleashing a bite force a hippopotamus would be jealous of.
"I have to know what's going on?" He limps to the water a blood flows from his ankle.
Notifications of exp being granted to piled up 8 times. "Huh?" Fishes burst through the water and hit the ground, spewing blood as bite marks and holes were exposed.
Inside the water, the swarm of Silver Jaws kept flowing in. Silver Jaws usually hunt larger prey so they hunt in groups of 20.
WHOOSH!! A fish with a stone knife in its gut flew out of the water. They pile on the surface more and more. Mila gripped the dome of a Silver Jaw with her teeth and yanked back. She ripped the spinal cord of the fish out of its body. With this new armament, a torrent of attacks wildly flail from her arm. The spiky portions of the spine rip and tear through everything in her vicinity. Hiring it with such high amounts of pressure that the currents pushed the fish out of the lake or deeper into the lake.
The notifications piled up but suddenly stopped. Mila, dragging a spinal cord walked out of the lake with an intent glare. "Mila..."
She kneeled at Dimitri's side and water formed around her eyes. "Mila's sorry master!! Mila let Master get hurt, Mila didn't mean to.."
"This girl. She might be come from a selfish species but....she cares about me. What a strange world." He pondered.
Dimitri's hand firmly positioned itself upon her head. "Mila. It's okay. It isn't your fault."
"But...Mila brought Master here. Master wouldn't have gotten hurt if Mila didn't bring you here." She whimpered softly.
"Mila, I'm telling you it's okay. You took down whatever hurt me didn't you?"
She nodded.
"Then I'll forgive you."
