Chapter 39 - Have A Little Faith In Humanity

* Hi...ish lol

[SAKURA]

To say she was pissed would be an understatement, but so would it be if someone said she was confused about what she wanted to feel for Kiyomi Kimura, the good doctor who had gotten into her life and changed everything.

For years, Sakura had had a routine, and that she had made sure to stick to because it was the only way to keep herself sane and not too encompassed in the madness that she reigned in.

And at the moment she had laid her eyes on the most stubborn Lycan in the realm, she knew her life would never be the same.

Oh, but she underestimated just how much impact Kiyomi would have in her life, because right now, despite walking away from Kiyomi because she wasn't certain of what she could do with her, she was standing at the good doctor's door, tripping over her nothings and she tried to force out the best apology.

It was frustrating for Sakura, but it was worth it, because even she knew that she wouldn't have joined this much over an individual who didn't mean shit to her.

"Petal! Open up, baby, I'm sorry," Sakura said as she gathered the courage to knock at the door. She could see it was open, but she didn't want to bargain, because there was no telling what Kiyomi Kimura would throw at her head for being that stubborn.

It was interesting though, because at this point, Kiyomi Kimura was the one person that got Sakura scared and worried about anything and everything. With her, Sakura was normal and that was something that Sakura was never going to get used to.

It was almost like the impossible was coming to the surface but what else could he do other than embrace it?

"Shut the fuck up, lady. What the hell did she do for the bunch of you to come to her house? Poor girl probably hasn't had the slightest bit of sleep in the past two months and you're banging her door," an old human woman shouted at Sakura.

For a moment, Sakura Watanabe was in shock. She was more than a thousand years old, and was definitely older than the woman who was scolding her, which made it hilarious yet sad to some extent.

Sakura could see for the first time that she was never going to grow old or even have gray hair, which was a weird thought, given she had to have already known that.

Perhaps having Kiyomi in her life was giving her a weird line of thoughts that she hadn't even considered in the first place.

"Uh… My apologies. I'm sorry," Sakura said and the old lady stared at her, still covered in blood. Sakura hadn't even changed and the lady was giving her eyes that got her wondering what the fuck was wrong with the humans.

"It's okay kid. If you're looking for Miss Kimura, she is not there. Some men came to pick her up, and she didn't even put up a fight. Poor thing probably has nothing to live for anymore.

"I can only wish her happiness," the old lady said before she walked into her apartment, leaving Sakura Watanabe burning with the urge to know what the fuck had happened to the love of her life.

Could she consider Kiyomi?

Oh, but Sakura was in for a long ride this time around.

"I hate humans," Sakura mumbled as she walked into her Erasthai's house. She wanted to go after Kiyomi, but at the same time, she was tired of running around throughout the day.

It was almost like she ended her rest, because the first thing she did when she got into Kiyomi's house was lock the door and get to the bed that had Kiyomi's scent. It was crazy what Sakura Watanabe was doing, but then no one really ever understood the woman.

Clearly, she had a feeling that someone had taken her erasthai, hell she knew someone had really come and bagged Kiyomi. But she didn't care about that at the moment, or maybe she did and just didn't want to show it?

What use was hiding that when her erasthai was out and alone?

"Goddess, she is so damn beautiful," Sakura said as she looked at the bedside photos. She didn't even bother changing out of her bloody dress as she lay on the white sheets on Kiyomi's bed.

What mattered more to her, would forever remain a mystery to many, because five minutes later, the mad queen was snoring on her Erasthai's bed… the same erasthai she needed to go save and had not even bothered to go out for.

****

Since going through the portal, life was restless. She knew Kiyomi had done that to keep her safe. but she hoped that someone would come to help Kiyomi out.

In her mind, she wanted to go and look for Sakura because that woman was the only person who could bring back Kiyomi and keep her safe. So, deciding against staying in the break rooms at the hospital, life took a cab back to Kiyomi's apartment.

'There has to be a clue in there somewhere,' the doctor said to herself as she walked out the elevator on Kiki's floor. She knew she was hoping for the impossible, seeing as she was a human, but a girl had to hope, right?

Even when she got off and saw the blood on their door, she didn't think too much of it. In fact, she just turned the key and opened the door, hating the sync that was surrounding the room.

She knew this was a cruel thing that had happened to her Kiki and she hoped to find a way to reach out to the mad queen who was to help her out with her predicament at the time.

"Kiki!" Elif called out as she walked into their apartment.

She could see no sign of a break-in, but that didn't mean that Kiyomi didn't walk herself out with her captors. Oh, how Elif was starting to hate the Bogdan Lycan even more than she had hated them previously.

It was like she wanted to smash their hands in order to make her friend's life unbearable. Kiyomi hadn't been back to live a life for the longest time and the Lycans were always in her way of happiness. It was disappointing and Elif hated every bit of it.

"Goodness, doesn't your voice make your head hurt? Don't you see she isn't her? Fucking go away human!" Sakura shouted at Elif whose voice was apparently interrupting her sleep.

Funny how the woman was going to reach out to her and yet she was here napping like it was just another regular day in their lives.

"Crazy Sakura? What the hell are you doing her and where the fuck is my Kiki?!" Elif asked as she rushed towards Kiyomi's room. However, when she got her, the sight of a bloodied Sakura made her puke her guts out in the nearest bin.

"I'll tell her you did that. I didn't come into her house to puke my guts out," Sakura said as she turned on the bed to look at Elif who didn't even look amused by Sakura. She couldn't believe this.

"Are you fucking serious right now? You're on her white sheets while you're covered in blood!" Elif said, her voice rising again and Sakura had just but had enough of her.

"Listen here, human. You're interrupting my nap and I'm so close to breaking this little neck holding your head together. The only thing stopping me is the fact that if I kill you, Petal might never fuck me and I've been waiting on her for a long time.

"Now please get the fuck out and leave me to sleep while I wait for her to come home to me. I already told her I missed her, and even if I didn't, she loves me anyway," Sakura warned, her voice making Elif wonder what the fuck the moon goddess was on when she had paired her best friend with the mad woman in front of her.

This couldn't be real; it just didn't make any sense to her.

"I'm not sure if I should feel threatened or disgusted that you're here being all mouthy when your erasthai could be mauled already by the fucktards who took her," Elif said disappointedly and Sakura burst out laughing at her.

"Of course, you would find it funny."

"Why shouldn't I? You really don't know your best friend, do you?"

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"Wake me up when she comes home," Sakura said as she pushed Elif out of Kiyomi's room and went back to sleep carefreely.
