[KIYOMI]
Kiyomi hadn't put up a fight. She didn't have anything to fight for and given how Sakura had left her, she was sure that the woman wouldn't want her back.
She knew that there was more to the madness in her life and that the crazy woman could be attributed to most of it, but deep down, she couldn't help but feel like there was more to this.
Even though Sakura had left her and didn't even seek her out, Kiyomi was thinking of her. It was almost like Sakura Watanabe was the only thing that was keeping her alive, which was ironic, seeing as they didn't ever understand each other at all.
One moment they were smiling and the next they were plotting each other's murders. Their relationship was fucked up in one too many ways and yet even then, Kiyomi Kimura found a normal in-between.
It was like she was slowly making her peace with the fact that she had signed the damned contract and that she should have expected all of this, whether or not she was the mad queen's erasthai.
Everyone who knew her in the Lycan world had long learned that she was the Lycan queen's plaything, so this wasn't even supposed to be surprising for her.
"For someone in captivity, you sure are a relaxed piece of shit," the man who had grabbed her said.
Kiyomi just stared at him, a smirk on her face like she was certain she wouldn't be here for long perhaps it was because a part of her was counting on Sakura to come after her and save her.
No matter what happened, she and Sakura always found a central point despite the chaos around them.
It was what kept them together and white that was easily the only thing that could rip them apart, Kiki had hope, and it was so strange that even at this point, she was choosing to trust the most unstable creation of the moon goddess.
"And for someone who knows the queen don't do shit for a pet she made sign the contract, you sure are dumber than your entire miserable existence," Kiyomi bit back with a smile on her face you would think she was talking about the most pleasant of things.
She was risking her life and she knew that these people would try to use her to lure out Sakura Watanabe, but that was something that even Kiyomi knew was a dumb idea. The mad queen didn't care for anyone or anything other than her power.
Even her enforcer, Otaru, knew of that, so what was it so hard for this bunch of Lycans to understand that nothing is ever going to change when it came to Sakura Watanabe?
"You talk too much. Where is the Lycan queen?" the man asked and Kiyomi stared at him boredly. Which part of what she had said to them were they not getting, or was it just as simple for their fucked-up brains this time?
"Listen. I'm not sure if you have lived way too long past your expiry date and you need an upgrade, but only stupid people would try this kind of shit with the queen's erasthai. I for one don't care one bit for that wild unhinged woman with so much baggage.
"Now, if you just let me go, perhaps we can come to a consensus and make the best for this bond. I hate the woman, and I am a rogue that she forced to sign a pet contract.
"That means that she will kill me once she's done using me, which is coming sooner than expected because I'm not what she expected and she despises me with each day.
"How about we help each other and fuck her up then get this over witho—" Kiyomi ranted before she stopped midway, making the five Lycan in the room stare at her like she had lost her mind.
Maybe she really had, because there was just no way she had heard someone in her mind link. Hell, she hand tossed the mind link in years and years, so this just didn't take any sense.
Even with Sakura, her mind link had been closed because she did trust the crazy women on the other side to have anything good in mind for her.
It was unhinged and she hated it, but more than anything, the voice she heard in the mind link was surely a hallucination. Perhaps she was losing her mind from being around these bastards for too long, right?
'I miss you… I'll be waiting for you,' Kiyomi heard Sakura's voice and she was sure she was hallucinating. However, when she heard the little laugh at the end, she knew she wasn't hallucinating.
Queen Sakura Watanabe was really on the other side of the world waiting for her. Maybe Kiki was overthinking all that was happening. Maybe she had been so depressed because of Sakura that she was willing to believe whoever stepped up first.
Maybe she was in that position that would ruin countless lives, but right now as she listened to the voice replay over and over in her head, she knew that she had to get out of there.
Maybe it was a stubborn call and a dangerous gamble for her, but there was only one way to know, right?
"Why did you stop? Or did you have a revelation?" her kidnappers said and Kiyomi just laughed at them.
She knew what she was about to do was insane and would put her on the radar of the worst of men out there but then she had tried her very best not to be bothered by the consequences, in the event that she was hallucinating and there was really nothing like Sakura waiting for her.
It was a stroke of giant luck, but it was one that Kiyomi Kimura was willing to explore. She had waited for Sakura for far too long.
Maybe it was because her Lycan wanted to be close to the devil they were omitted to, or maybe it was because life and love went late trying to think before her and choices didn't exactly start looking like the best of choices out there for her.
She had to decide.
"Well, you could say so. Unfortunately, as much as I want to stay here with you and watch you be dumber than you can get, I have other pressing issues that need my attention.
"The five of you look like really nice guys who can make the old a better place. Which is why I'm giving you the choice to walk away from this and I won't do shit about it. I will even forget your names and faces, however scrunched up they look.
"So how about we forget that this ever happened, yeah?" Kiyomi said as she snapped the chains off of her hands, neck, and legs casually as she had truly been entertaining them.
"Yaa!!!" the Lycan shouted in denial. For some reason, they wanted to prove themselves, and sadly enough, they rushed towards Kiyomi, to fight her. But Kiki had more precious things to deal with.
Perhaps that was why instead of a bloodbath, she opened a portal and went through it, even though she knew her destination was a familiar one and it was just a matter of time before these Lycans came after her again.
But then that was a problem for tomorrow, no?
"You came," Sakura breathed in surprise, as she looked at her erasthai.
"You called."
