Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Along the halls of the Star Psychiatric Establishment, a lady was seen trashing wildly and kicking her feet in the air, as two burly men held her arms while walking down the halls of the building.

Behind them, a man and a woman followed suit, their heels clicking rapidly on the tiles as they tried to catch up.

She flailed her legs as she screamed, her beautiful face distorted in a frown.

"Let go of me!" As much as she tried to free herself from their grasp, it turned fruitless as she was no match for them.

They eventually stopped at a room with an iron door barred with rods and chains, as a means of protection.

One of the men following them quickly fished out a key from his pockets and went to unlock the door.

They pushed her in as she fell to the cold tiled ground. Her hands immediately went to her belly.

The lady was none other than Natalie Prescott, wife of Nathan Prescott, the billionaire tycoon who was considered the most powerful and ruthless man in the city.

Natalie stood up rapidly and ran over to the door, banging it. But it didn't budge as it had been locked already.

"Take me out of here, you morons!" she screamed.

The man and woman following them earlier walked over to Natalie and she looked at them with narrowed eyes.

The man was her husband, Nathan, and the lady, her stepsister, Claire.

Claire stared at Natalie with a sweet smile on her face.

Finally, you are where you belong

"You can't leave me here, Nathan, You know I'm not crazy!" Natalie screamed

"Oh yes, I can, sweetheart," "You're doing a better job at proving it." He scoffed, a smirk playing at the corner of his lips.

She bit her lips, unable to believe her ears.

"Two years...Nathan," She whispered, "Two good years I've stood by you, doing nothing but loving you unconditionally, so this is what I get in return."

She had rushed home earlier that day eager to give Nathan the news she'd gotten from the hospital. She was finally pregnant, after years of trying.

She walked into the house and, not expecting anything she went into their room and was shocked to the bones on seeing the naked body of her husband, ramming balls deep in Claire, her step-sister.

Only to find herself in this mental hospital. Betrayed and locked up.

She didn't bother fighting the tears as they flowed freely down her cheeks, her lips quivering.

"Oh please..." Claire butted, her red lipstick matching the red dress she wore, giving off a seductive look, "Stop with the pity party. We both know this marriage was all a sham. I was supposed to be Nathan's wife, but you stole him from me."

Natalie wiped her eyes. She stared at her in disgust, her cheeks fuming as she scoffed, "So what, Claire? Do you think you can have him? News flash, Darling, we are still legally married and no way in hell am I signing those divorce papers."

But Claire planted a sweet smile on her face causing Natalie to furrow her brows slightly.

"You think this is funny?" Natalie asked.

Nathan inched closer to the bar, smiling sweetly, "Oh you don't have to worry about that, sweetheart, You are mentally deranged, and are not in a position to make decisions for yourself any longer." He said, clutching the file containing the papers in his hands, "This could easily be signed by any of your legal guardians."

Natalie felt her heart do a flip-flop as her eyes widened.

"No, You wouldn't do this, Nathan," her eyes glistened with tears.

"Yes, we will," her sister said, "it's so disgusting how you keep clinging on to Nathan. Get a hold of yourself, would you? He is mine now."

And with that, she snaked her arms around Nathan's neck and captured his lips in hers.

Nathan reciprocated immediately, cupping her cheeks and drawing her by the waist

Natalie looked at them feeling hopeless. The same man she had given her heart to for so long, now held her sister, Claire, in his arms.

"This is at least a good place for you to lose those excess weight of yours!" Nathan smirked, and arms locked together with Claire, they turned their backs on her and walked away.

Natalie's lips quivered. She fell on her knees as hot sobs broke off her lips, her body shaking with every sob.

She caught a glimpse of someone walking past and immediately ran to the door, "Please, help me. I'm not crazy, take me out of here please!" She said, desperately, her eyes wide and tear-filled.

The young man paused and stared at her. He had seen Natalie while she was being dragged in with possibly her family members and felt that they must have had a reason for bringing her in here.

"Please, get me out of here!" Natalie screamed, tears running down her cheeks as she banged the door loudly.

The man moved closer to the door, he looked slightly into her eyes and stretched his hands as he tried to open the door.

"Yes, please open the door. Let me out of here. Please!" She screamed.

The man immediately withheld his hands, shook his head, and walked off, as he shrugged his shoulders.

Moreover, 90 percent of crazy people in the world have all said they aren't crazy!

"Ahhhhhhhh," Natalie's scream could be heard as it resonated through the halls of the hospital. She lay on the bed as beads of sweat coated her forehead while she gasped for breath.

She had given birth to her first child already and was surprised to learn that there were two babies in her.

She looked at her right hoping to see her little boy's face but couldn't find him. Her heart rate increased as she tried to speak, "Where.... where is my....." But a sharp pain interrupted her speech as she screamed.

"Just one more push. She's almost here." The nurse cajoled her.

Beads of sweat ran down her forehead as Natalie gasped for breath. Her face looked flushed and pale. But she knew not to give up. Not now.

She had been locked up at the asylum for over seven months with other crazy women.

All her pleas and explanations that she wasn't crazy fell on deaf ears. The more she stayed there, the more agitated she became and they all saw her antics as more proof that she wasn't mentally ok.

The nurse tapped her cheeks. She was almost losing consciousness. "You can't give up now ma'am. Just one more."

And with her last ounce of st

rength, Natalie pushed with all her might and was rewarded with the shrill cry of a baby.
