Chapter 205 - Chapter 161: Spider-Verse (11)

As we made our way through the crowded area, everyone stayed right behind me.

"I can sense where it is," I remarked confidently.

"How?" Peter B inquired with curiosity.

"It's one of my powers," I explained.

Spider-Gwen chimed in, intrigued. "How many powers do you have?"

Glancing at her, I shrugged. "I don't know, maybe four."

Spider-Man Noir interjected, sounding puzzled. "Wait, what?"

"Shh," I hushed them suddenly, sensing something approaching through my chi sense. I recognized it immediately — it was Kingpin.

"Hide," I urgently whispered, motioning for everyone to take cover. We swiftly scaled the walls and silently clung to the ceiling.

As we clung to the ceiling, tension hung thick in the air. Kingpin, a formidable figure even from a distance, approached the entrance with an air of authority. His presence alone seemed to command the guards' attention as they stood stoically by the private elevator.

"He's heading straight for it," Spider-Gwen whispered, her voice barely audible.

Spider-Man Noir nodded grimly, his eyes fixed on Kingpin's every move. "Looks like he's got business at the collider."

I surveyed our surroundings, weighing our options. "We need to find a way to follow him without being seen."

Peter B glanced nervously at me. "Any ideas?"

I murmured, ensuring only they could understand, "Wait for him to pass, take out his guards, disable the elevator, then descend quietly to our destination."

Spider-Gwen raised an eyebrow. "That's risky."

Spider-Man Noir shook his head. "But it might be our only shot."

With a nod of agreement, we waited for the opportune moment to strike.

As Kingpin approached the elevator, everyone could feel the tension escalate. His imposing figure dominated the hallway, casting a menacing shadow across the ceiling where we hid.

Spider-Gwen's gaze darted between Kingpin and the guards. "He's almost there. We need to move."

I nodded, my mind racing with the plan. "Shshh.. Alright, on my signal."

Kingpin's deep voice echoed through the hallway as he conversed with the guards, his words carrying an air of authority. The guards, alert and ready, kept their hands close to their weapons, standing watchful at their posts.

Peter B tensed, readying himself for action. Said quietly "Now?"

I waited for the right moment as Kingpin turned toward the elevator and the doors began to close. When I saw my chance, I signaled quickly with a gesture.

"Now!"

With practiced coordination, Peter B, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, Peni Parker, and Spider-Man Noir dropped down from the ceiling without a sound. They landed behind the guards and swiftly and quietly subdued them, making sure not to set off any alarms.

(Guards grunt as they fall unconscious.)

"I hope you sleep well for now," I remarked, glancing at the two incapacitated guards.

Turning to Peni, I nodded. "Do it."

Peni, with her robot SP//dr, swiftly demolished the elevator door. We exchanged quick nods and wasted no time descending silently to follow Kingpin, who was already in the elevator headed downward.

As we approached the lower levels, I gathered everyone together and quickly briefed them, handing Peter B the override key.

"Go to the collider," I instructed them firmly.

Peter B looked puzzled. "Wait... Where are you going?"

I met their eyes with determination. "Don't worry, I'll be back. I need to stop Kingpin from making the collider more mess up."

Peter B nodded solemnly. "Okay, but be careful."

"I'll be fine," I reassured them. "Now go."

With a final nod of understanding, they hurried off towards the super collider while I turned in the direction Kingpin had gone, ready to confront him and halt his plans.

....

Meanwhile, inside the room where Kingpin and his scientists were monitoring the super collider:

The scientists, focused on their computer screens, entered commands rapidly.

"Start the sequence," one of them instructed.

"Uploading Vanessa Fisk and Richard Fisk DNA sequences," another scientist reported.

"Beginning scan for dimensional matches," a third scientist added.

As they worked, an automated voice announced, "Secondary ignition in five, four, three, two, one..."

At that moment, all across Brooklyn, anomalies began to manifest due to the collider starting up. The ground trembled slightly, causing small earthquakes. Jefferson Morales, observing from a distance, noticed Fisk Tower glitching and immediately trusted his instincts, sprinting towards the troubled location.

........

Meanwhile, Peter B, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker stood perched above, overlooking the collider.

Peter B suddenly started glitching, his form wavering.

"Augh!" Peter B grunted, causing concern among the others.

Spider-Gwen moved to intervene. "Peter, let me handle this."

Peter B shook his head weakly. "No, Michael wants me to do it. I have to."

"You're glitching," Spider-Gwen insisted, worried.

"It's okay. I've made up my mind," Peter B affirmed, determination in his voice.

With resolve, they all swung towards the collider.

"I'll put the goober in and take over the beam," Peter B declared, addressing the others.

He locked eyes with them, his expression serious. "After we're all gone, if Miles doesn't make it, Michael will stay behind and blow it up. That's the plan."

"Good luck, guys," Peter B said finally, steeling himself for what lay ahead.

As they swung towards the collider, they suddenly found themselves surrounded by armed individuals, guns trained on them.

"They know we're here," Spider-Gwen noted grimly.

Before they could react, tentacles struck Peter B, causing him to cry out in pain.

"Augh!" Peter B grimaced, caught off guard due to his glitching.

"Peter!" Spider-Gwen exclaimed, alarmed.

Dr. Olivia Octavius, also known as Doctor Octopus, emerged from the shadows with a smirk. "Nice to see you again, Peter."

At the same time, Scorpion and Tombstone appeared, their presence adding to the tension and danger of the situation.

Amidst the chaos at the collider, the skirmish erupted into a flurry of action and tension. Bullets whizzed through the air as Peter B, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham, and Peni Parker found themselves surrounded by armed adversaries.

Spider-Man Noir, grappling with glitches affecting his movements, swung gracefully but was suddenly jolted by a sharp pain.

"Aurgh!" he exclaimed, narrowly avoiding a bullet thanks to Peni Parker's timely intervention.

"I've got you covered," Peni reassured him, her SP//dr suit shielding Noir from the incoming fire.

"Thanks. Let's do this," Spider-Man Noir replied, gritting his teeth through the glitches that threatened to impair his fighting abilities.

Meanwhile, Spider-Ham sprang into action, deftly webbing the terrorists and delivering swift kicks. Despite his agility, the glitches began to affect him as well.

"Argh!" Spider-Ham grunted, feeling the strain. "Feels like I'm constipated," he quipped with a nervous oink.

Scorpion, one of their adversaries, took notice and targeted Peni Parker, eager for a confrontation.

"A scorpion?" Peni remarked, sizing up her opponent.

"Prepare to die, Spider... um, robot," Scorpion taunted, lunging at Peni with his formidable tail.

As the fight ensued, Spider-Man Noir's heightened senses alerted him just in time to evade an attack from one of the terrorists.

Tombstone, observing Noir's agility despite his glitches, couldn't help but comment.

"Ha! Despite glitching, you still have this much energy," Tombstone remarked with grudging admiration.

"I fight guys like you for breakfast!" Spider-Man Noir retorted, his determination unyielding.

....

Meanwhile, Spider-Gwen and Peter B found themselves locked in a tense duel with Dr. Olivia Octavius, alias Doctor Octopus. Her tentacles lashed out with precision, forcing Peter B and Spider-Gwen to maneuver with agility and strategy.

Peter B, his focus unwavering despite the chaos around them, exchanged blows with Octavius.

"Keep her distracted!" Peter B shouted to Spider-Gwen, his movements calculated and precise.

Spider-Gwen, agile and quick-witted, swung around Octavius, aiming precise kicks and webbing to keep the scientist off balance.

"You can't win, Parker!" Dr. Octopus taunted, her tentacles moving with deadly intent.

"We'll see about that," Spider-Gwen shot back, her determination matching Octavius' own.

As the battle raged on, each member of the team fought with all their might, knowing that the fate of their dimensions rested on their ability to overcome these formidable adversaries at the heart of the collider's activation.

..........

Kingpin, his imposing figure dominating the room where the collider was being monitored, smirked confidently as chaos unfolded around him.

"You can't stop the collider, spiders," he muttered with disdain, his eyes gleaming with malicious intent.

Suddenly, a bold voice cut through the tension. "Hey, big guy!"

Startled, Kingpin turned sharply towards the voice and laid eyes on Michael Wilson, another Spider-Man from a different universe, standing defiantly before him.

"You pest!" Kingpin growled, his anger palpable.

Michael smirked, undeterred by Kingpin's intimidating presence. "How about you tell your little Einstein to stop what they're doing?"

Kingpin's temper flared. "Shut the fuck up!" With a furious roar, he lunged towards Michael, his massive frame poised to strike.

Michael remained calm, taunting Kingpin further. "Ooh, scary big guy," he goaded, his demeanor daring and fearless.

The tension in the room escalated as Kingpin and Michael locked gazes, each prepared to face off in a battle that could determine the fate of the collider and the dimensions it threatened to disrupt.

.......

Peter B and Spider-Gwen continued their intense struggle against Dr. Octopus, dodging her relentless attacks as they fought to gain the upper hand.

Dr. Octopus mocked Peter B and Spider-Gwen as they struggled with glitches caused by the collider's instability. Her taunt was clear and confident: "You can't defeat me, not in your current condition," she sneered, showing no signs of doubt in her superiority.

Peter B, ignored the words, shot a web towards her with determination. "Oh yeah? How about you eat this!"

But Dr. Octopus effortlessly deflected his webbing, mocking his attempt with a smirk of superiority.

"Any last words?" Dr. Octopus teased, her tentacles poised for another strike.

Peter B replied with his trademark wit, trying to buy time. "Can I get a minute to think about it? You got a pen?"

His attempt at humor was swiftly interrupted when Spider-Gwen leaped towards Dr. Octopus, aiming a punch at her tentacles. Amidst the ensuing chaos, one of Dr. Octopus's tentacles struck Gwen from behind, sending her stumbling.

"Gwen!" Peter B exclaimed, his concern evident as he rushed to her side.

Seizing the opportunity, Dr. Octopus smirked, ready to strike Peter B down. "Die, Peter!" But before she could deliver the blow, an invisible force intervened.

Dr. Octopus cried out in pain as she was punched and then restrained by the unseen force, her tentacles grasped and thrown away.

"Argh!" Dr. Octopus grunted in frustration and surprise.

Peter B and Spider-Gwen watched in awe as Miles Morales revealed himself, deactivating his invisibility.

"Miles!" They both exclaimed in relief and amazement.

"Wow, Miles, you're doing it on command!" Peter B exclaimed, impressed by Miles's newfound control.

Miles grinned confidently. "It's about time, right?" His voice was filled with determination and pride.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man Noir, engaged in a fierce battle with Tombstone, glanced over at Miles. "Look who's here!" He acknowledged Miles's arrival with a nod of approval.

Peni Parker, amidst her intense battle with Scorpion, also noticed Miles' arrival. "He did it!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with relief and encouragement. Her attention momentarily shifted from the fight as she acknowledged the positive turn of events.

Spider-Ham, amidst his agile and acrobatic combat with the terrorists, felt a rush of happiness when he saw Miles join the fight.

As Miles approached Peter B and Gwen, the tension momentarily eased as they exchanged relieved laughs.

"You figured it out. I love you! I am so proud of you!" Peter B expressed his heartfelt pride to Miles.

Miles and Gwen chuckled, their spirits lifted by Peter B's encouragement.

Peter B's mind drifted to a more personal matter, recalling Mary Jane's earlier suggestion. "Do I want kids?" he pondered aloud, contemplating his future amidst the chaos.

Before any more could be said, Dr. Octopus's enraged voice cut through the air. "You'll pay for what you did to me!"

Peter B snapped back to the present. "Oh, yeah, I forgot about her."

Dr. Octopus swung her lethal tentacles towards them, prompting Peter B, Miles, and Spider-Gwen to swing and dodge with agility and precision.

Peter B's attention flicked to the collider, which was now visibly unstable. "Well, that doesn't look promising," he observed grimly.

Miles swung alongside him, sharing his concern. "No, it doesn't."

As they continued to evade Dr. Octopus's relentless attacks, Miles's thoughts turned to Michael. "Wait, what about Michael? Where is he?" he asked urgently.

Peter B kept his focus on evading and strategizing. "He said he has to stop Kingpin from doing any further harm. As you can see, the collider will complete soon if Michael doesn't stop it."

Miles expressed his concern, knowing the risks involved. "But that's risky. I told you all I would be the one to send you all back home," he reminded them, dodging tentacles skillfully.

"Don't worry, kid. Michael knows what he's doing," Peter B reassured him, his voice steady despite the chaos around them.

Spider-Gwen interjected, redirecting their attention to the immediate threat. "Guys, let's focus on this octopus right here!"

Peter B nodded in agreement, steeling himself for the confrontation ahead. "Yeah, you're right," he affirmed, locking eyes with Dr. Octopus as she advanced with deadly intent.

"It's showtime," Peter B declared, his resolve firm as he prepared to face off against Dr. Octopus once more, determined to protect his friends and thwart Kingpin's destructive plans.
