Chapter 9 - the apocalypse…

This entire text will be written in Siro perspective

I didn't know where I was so I started asking around where I was.

The entire area was burnt to shreds with flames engulfing every once of the area.

Furthermore I didn't even know if I was alone in this area or if there was any terrestrial life around me.

The buildings which were once prosperous areas, were broken down by the flames.

And from what I could infer, there wasn't any life to be seen from a 2 kilometre radius.

"Arcane technique. Galactic shift".

Why isn't it working. Let me try again

"Arcane technique. Galactic shift".

Why isn't this working. Furthermore why is there no magic in the area.

The haze up in the sky was blocking any sunlight from entering.

The heavy air made it impossible for any normal person to breathe in.

So I came to the conclusion that the biggest city in the country, has died.

The rubble caused by the event destroyed any and all houses in the area.

Through all the empty rubble, I heard some noice.

It sounded like a bird desperately trying to flap its wings trying to get up the area all for its effort to end in vein.

I looked up trying to find anything that could give me a hint of why this cataclysmic event occurred.

The birds wasn't moving.

Any time it went 200 meters away from me it stopped moving.

And there was only one being in the world that could cast such a despicable spell.

Father.

It was him.

But it was all pointless.

Even if I had my arcane technique which I don't. There would be a 0% chance I could survive let alone beat him in a fight.

So I cried.

I cried I cried I cried until I couldn't cry anymore.

I couldn't help wonder if this was all my fault.

Maybe if I came here sooner I could have prevented such a devastation from occurring.

"Dear human. I am aware that your in the city".

That sounds like fathers voice.

"You have before my super soldiers come to kill you"

RUN

That was the only thought that was occurring in my head. I couldn't not run. I didn't want to die. However if there was super soldiers that meant people survived in this city. That meant people used arcane. That meant. I didn't stand a chance.

Do I hide?

Do I run?

Do I give up?

I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to die not now.

So I came up with a plan. I was going to set up traps to lure them here.

And then I would ambush them from behind.

So that's what I started to do.

I scaled to the top of the building and laid of a trap I got a large plank of wood and a heavy bolder. I then got a large rock to roll it over the plank. Something like a lever.

I then I decked an entire building leaving it on its last steps.

And held it all together with a couple planks.

These planks would get broken by me manually destroying them when they enter the area of destruction.

I finally created a questionable catapult.

Did it work, I didnt know.

Would I still use it, absolutely.

Because the air was filled with toxic nitrous gas, I decided to make a mask out of leather and a thick material of lead.

I would then use this toxic gas to light the area and air on fire creating a big explosion.

Everything was perfect.

And now I just had to play the waiting game

So I wait.

And wait.

And wait.

I got bored so I made rubble pie with a side of rubble apple juice.

Then I waited again.

Then I got hungry so I then ate the rubble pie.

And then I waited again.

I fell asleep woke up in the morning and none of my traps got set so they never arrived.

So I waited.

And waited again.

Since it was breakfast, I made rubble stew.

And then decided to make a friend made of rubble called Patricia.

And then I waited again.

I got hungry so I ate the rubble stew.

Patricia looked at me weird so I promised her I wouldn't eat her.

I got hungry and I started to look at Patricia.

Patricia was making weird noices in my stomach so I told her to shush.

Suddenly

I heard the alarm of war and the soldiers were marching.

They were a decent mile away from me so that was fine.

They started to set fire to everything.

From rubble to buildings.

All the way to grass.

I got up and got ready.

I ended up launching my first catapult of fire rubble.

This didn't go in noticed so they ended up spotting me.

So I had to decide.

Do I run from this building.

Or do I send another catapult.

I then triggered a second catapult of flaming hot rubble right at them.

And I hit a strike.

A perfect 10 points.

I then used the nitrous air and set that on fire.

It created a big explosion right on top of them.

They were still advancing.

If I was being generous there was at least 100

I used my slingshot to break the planks holding the building together.

Resulting in streets half their forces being left incapacitated.

I was getting my self confidence back and I started to believe in myself.

After losing majority of their forces I was confident that they would back down and leave.

But they didn't.

They carried on advancing.

I only had a hand full of rubble left.

So I decided to do one final push.

But the lever was working working. It was jammed.

I tried my hardest to push it down but I ended up just hurting my arm

Eventually it gave in and launched the catapult.

I decimated the nearest building with the catapult which caused the building to collapse. And then the next one.And then the next one. This lead to a domino chain of effect leading to nearly all the forces getting destroyed.

"I HAD ENOUGH" said father

He decided to create a barrier which would get smaller over time.

This occurred and occurred so much to the 2km radius,

Turning into a 200 meter radius

I was confused on what to do.

I was going to get crushed by this barrier.

I was about to lose hope until I saw something that could save me.

I looked at the outside of the barrier and the floor stayed normal.

This meant it was possible I could survive if I just went underground.

But I didn't have enough time

I tried to rush down the building until it started to collapse.

My leg got stuck in rubble and I couldn't move.

I was in agonising pain and the barrier shrunk by half.

I though I was dead.

How I wouldn't make it out.

I forcefully removed my leg from the rubble leaving my leg bones disjointed.

I was crawling down the building and then I realised I at most had 10 minutes left.

When I finally got to the ground floor I had only 5 minutes to dig a hole where my body could fit inside it.

I used the sword of the fallen soldier to dig a deep enough hole where I could submerge my body in.

Due to the injury in my arm, I found it hard to dig the hole.

The barrier was 3 meters in diameter

All I had to do was jump into the hole

But my body just stopped working.

I saw a boulder which I set up earlier falling straight to my face.

So I quickly jumped into the hole and the boulder shielded me from the destruction
