Two days has passed as they came to the Alchemy Tower and Noah gave Ethan his first break from the training, advising him to relax and await the pill. Ethan complied, spending more time with his mother, walking around the garden, and beginning to train his Mana Sense, although it was nowhere near the next Mastery Level.
Peacefully, the days passed, until Ethan received a notice from Noah to come to his room.
Upon hearing the notice from the maid, Ethan simply nodded, and the maid guided him to Noah's room.
After a bit of walking, they arrived at Noah's room door, where the then maid left. Ethan then knocked on the door and waited for a response. Noah opened the door and greeted Ethan, saying, "Hey, little student, I hope you enjoyed your two-day vacation, as after this, you'll only have time for training! Okay, come in, and we will begin the process for you to consume the pill!"
Ethan entered Noah's room, which looked clean and luxurious, much like Ethan's own room. However, what stood out the most were the various symbols on the walls and circles.
Noticing Ethan's interest, Noah explained, "What you see on the walls are runes and magical circles. They are like enchantments; for example, all sound in this room can't be heard except by the people in this room, or if you begin to absorb mana, it will come faster towards you. However, this is higher magic and should only be learned at the beginner rank, so don't think about learning how to form runes or magical circles."
After Noah spoke about Runes and Magical circles, he took a deep breath and then said, "Anyways, go to the circle in front of the bed and sit down."
Following Noah's instructions, Ethan walked towards the front of the bed, sat in the middle of the circle in a cross-legged position, and waited for further instructions. Noah produced a pill from his hand seemingly out of nowhere and continued, "Okay, Ethan, this pill is called the 'Body Destruction Pill.' As you can hear from the name, it sounds very bad and should not be used on the body as it would destroy it. However, a person from our family about 400 years ago found a way to use this pill to transform his crippled, mana-less body into one that is at the Silver grade. He took this pill and made his body, once without mana, compatible with mana, and even achieved a Silver grade mana body."
Noah then explained the grades of Mana bodies, stating, "First is the lowest, the low-grade, then the middle grade, and finally, the high grade. These are the ranks that anyone can achieve with only resources. However, there are grades above these that few have achieved, called Bronze, Silver, and Golden bodies, each with sub-ranks of low, middle, and high grade. I myself have a Golden body and am considered one in a million years genius. I could even be the head of the family if I wanted, but I rejected it as I don't like the idea of being the family head; I prefer being a teacher. But after seeing you for around a month, I've observed that your mana sense is around the middle rank, which is even more amazing than what I have achieved. That means you could have a Golden body as well, maybe even a high-grade one, which nobody in the family or known history has ever achieved."
Hearing Noah's serious tone for the first time, as he didn't call Ethan "little student" but used his real name, Ethan became serious as well and nodded in acknowledgment.
Noah continued to speak, "So that you know, I will tell you what this pill will do to you. First, it will destroy your bones, which is very painful, and you could even die from the pain. But the most important thing is that you must stay conscious and endure the pain! That's all: endure the pain, and you'll have the best body possible. Do you understand?"
Ethan simply nodded his head, already prepared to consume the pill. Noah handed him the pill, and Ethan, holding it in his hand for the first time, took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and nodded. He then put the pill in his mouth and swallowed it.
The moment Ethan swallowed the "Body Destruction Pill," his body began to ache. It started cracking, and everyone in the room could hear the sound of bones cracking. Ethan began to roar in pain, an experience he hadn't encountered in all his lives. "Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"
As his bones started to crack, Ethan began to vomit blood, and tears of blood replaced his usual tears. He couldn't think clearly and rolled on the ground, surrounded by his own blood, as his body continued to heal and break every second.
Observing this, Noah sighed and snapped his fingers. All the runes and magical circles in the room began to glow in various colors, creating a beautiful sight. However, with Ethan's roars and cries, the room didn't feel peaceful at all.
As the runes activated and the circles enchanted their effects, mana began to flow towards Ethan's body much faster, and his body began to absorb it. This was also an effect of the pill, and slowly Ethan's body began to heal; it was no longer being destroyed.
In the circle of pain, Ethan lost his mind but remained conscious. Slowly, the pain faded, and just before Ethan passed out, he heard something.
[Congratulations, the host has awakened.]
With this notice from the system, he passed out and lay powerless on the ground, which was covered with his own blood, and began to sleep for a long time.
