Kibe and Kazutaka faced each other, while Kenji simply snickered to himself behind Kibe.
"You...uhhh...you getting in my way!? You goddamn monster!" Kazutaka shouted as he pointed to Kibe aggressively. Yūri weakly leaned aginst Rin while Kibe with Kenji watching it all. Everyone was taking photos or taking a video of what was going on. Everyone was watching.
"I'm the monster? From the display you just did and the horrid actions you've done. I would say that you need to be pointing the finger at yourself." Kibe said, Yūri looked at him with Kibe's eyes slightly meeting her's. "Y-You little shit!" Kazutaka shouted as he weakily threw a swing at Kibe who dodged out of the way. He put his leg in front of Kazutaka's right leg and a well placed on his back. The man nearly flipped over as Kibe applied not even %1 of his strength to it. Everyone laughed or winced as Kazutaka fell onto his ass.
"Kibe! Thats enough." Rin said, Kibe looked at her and shrugged as he took a few steps away. "Come on, lets find you someplace quiet." Rin said as Yūri nodded, but before they left Kenji needed to push it, just one more notch.
"Now that was quiet the show Kazutaka! Looks like you've sold everything, except one thing...or maybe someone." Kenji said, Kazutaka looked up. The hallucinogenic still having affect, made Kenji looked like a large jester like monster, in his hand was a stack of cards. Each with the face of his sister. "What has she done for you all day? Made you look like a fool. Tried to get you chicken out of the game that could make you.
Now she has ruined your reputation, she wanted you to fail. Wanted you to attack her. The only way to get her back for that. Is to ruin her." Kenji said, Kazutaka nodded as he wobbly got up and slamned his palm on the table. Kenji's face grew a very devilish grin. Thats when he'd see Kazutaka blink a few times before he spoke.
"I want to bet....my sister!" Kazutaka said, Yūri and everyone was shocked at what they heard. That was the final push, Yūri then ran away, pushing through the crowd in tears. "Follow her." Kibe said touching Rin's shoulder. He watched as they left and with that Kenji took a final drink. Thats when security would arrive and grab Kazutaka. "HEY! WHAT THE F-FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?" he screamed as he was dragged away. Kenji leaned back. A smile across his face, Kiko looked from afar.
"Hes twisting the views of Kenji. It won't be soon before Kenji becomes unreliable. Kibe is using Kenji's determination to best him to steer him away from me.
Does that mean he still has yet to trust me, or has he completely abandoned the pale palace?" Kiko thought. Elsewhere Yūri would be in the back office of the plaza. It was dark, her tears were falling aginst her legs and hands as she sat on the ground. Her body shaking viciously. Thats when Rin would walk down the hall and end up at the door leading to the back office. She knocked before she opened the door. She looked down to see Yūri there on the ground. Her body shaken and her nose dripping blood.
She walked over to Yūri and sat next to her. "...I...I just don't understand. Why would he do such a thing. Why would he...why would he cast me aside?!" Yūri shouted as she grabbed her head.
"Yūri..." Rin said
"HOW COULD UNCLE INTRUST EVERYTHING TO HIM!?
He's always been reckless! Always felt like his voice was louder than mine. Just because I don't do what he does, walk like he does or even have the same friends, well...
After today. I don't think I'll have any friends." Yūri said. Rin had once again recognized what Kibe had done. He had isolated Yūri, separated her not only from her brother, but from her own friends too. Yūri was a clean slate. She needed someone to help her through this difficult time, someone who had already offered their hand to her. Thats when Rin would wrap her arm around Yūri's shoulder. Yūri looked at her, her tears still rushing down her face.
Rin gave her a warm smile.
"Don't worry Yūri, I'm here. I'm still your friend." Rin smiled. Back at Ushin, at the police station Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki both were in a interrogation room with Mr.Otsuka. The guy was still dressed in his psych ward straight jacket. All of them sitting down in silence as Mr.Otsuka was looking down, his face casted in shadow as he could feel like as if something was weighing on him.
"Mr.Otsuka, we're so glad you've recovered. Now, that you have. Do you have any recollection of the events that happened the night of your disappearance?" Mr.Miyuki asked, Mr.Nakayama looked at him with haste in his eyes. He was determined this may the one chance of proving that Kibe is connected to everything.
"Thank you both, for looking out for me as you did. I...don't remember much of anything unfortunately. Much of that night was a blur. Except for one thing.
I did infact see the one who did this to me, for a brief moment. But I knee him." Mr.Otsuka said. Mr.Nakayama and Mr.Miyuki both leaned in to hear what Mr.Otsuka had to say.
Back at the mall, close to the back room office of the plaza. Kibe was standing against the wall in the hallway. He eyes looking towards the entrance to where Rin was now solidifying her opportunity to go aginst her father on equal ground, but of course. This is exactly how Kibe had intended it to go.
"The night is over and my hand has been played Mr.Nakayama.
Right now you're questioning Mr.Otsuka, but he doesn't remember much of that night. Just the face of one delinquent, one man known for being violent and rash. Someone who was close to the Otsuka family.
Right now hundreds of videos and pictures of his actions tonight will solidly his testimony aginst him. Making his answer to who to who it really was that night irrefutable. Kazutaka Kogure." Kibe thought.
Back at the station, Mr.Nakayama and Miyuki's faces were pale and covered in disbelief.
"D- What did you just say?" Mr.Nakayama asked
"It was a friend of mine's son. Kazutaka Kogure. It was him who did this to me. I could tell it was him from the moment I heard his voice." Mr.Otsuka said
"But we don't have any shred of evidence that Kazutaka has ever committed violence like this on such a scale." Mr.Miyuki said thats when Chee would come into the room. "Mr.Nakayama! We just got a violent report. Apparently there was a beat down at the mall in Ginza. A horrible scene. It was recorded and posted everywhere.
The perp is a Kazutaka Kogure. He just was caught beating his sister nearly to death and taking drugs in a public area. We have some people down there right now." Chee said, Mr.Nakayama didn't know what to think. In his mind, he was so sure that Kibe had slipped up, that there was no way that this was part of his plan the whole time. Mr.Nakayama slamned his fist on the table in the room. This was the final confirmation. That if he wanted to best Kibe, he would have to sacrifice ever inch of his morals. He couldn't hold back anymore.
The law, morals, ethics and all; were nothing more than limitations he needed to move past. Kibe was covered from every angle. Mr.Nakayama knew, that he needed to stoo treating Kibe like as if he was limited by the law. When the opposite was the reality. So he needed to do the same, if not. He knew that it would only be a matter of time before Kibe came for him personally.
However Mr.Nakayama did give a small smirk to the thought.
"Alright Kibe, game on." Mr.Nakayama thought.
Back at the mall with Kibe. He was still standing in the hallway waiting on Rin to finish with Yūri. During that Kenji would arrive with Kiko not far behind him.
"Hey, Nori. That was quite the play back there. Cause my little extra bit there gave you the chance you needed." Kenji smirked
"I don't believe in chance Kenji." Kibe said, "Either way. That was quite the display. Yet what was the point? You can't honestly have done that just to help out Kita." Rin said
"No of course not. Because now Rin will owe me for this. Not only that, but the Kogure's uncle now will abandon Kazutaka. His actions today will throw the fashion department through a loop. They'll be looking for some new young representatives.
Rin can now bring her and Yūri together as a united front. Yūri as a survivor and Rin as the one who saved said survivor. She'll have eyes on her. For what she did for Rin and for her potential." Kibe said
"You sound certain thats what's going to happen." Kenji said "I know it will. People cling to the strong. Rin is the strongest right now. They will flock to her, if not when she approaches them. Then with time.
Her face is all over the web, saving Yūri. They'd be a fool to deny her." Kibe said. Kenji was actually shocked at how deep Kibe's plan was. He knew Kibe was a master planner, someone who could predict your entire day. But such forward planning was immensely disturbing and shocking.
"Yes, that was very impressive. I wonder if the same thing will work on the transfer students." Kiko said which made Kibe and Kenji look at her. Kenji was actually worried about who was coming while Kibe seemed once again dismissive of the whole thing.
"The night isn't over. I still have one last thing to do." Kibe said
"You know they're expecting anything you do right? The Pale authority won't be left out of the loop with you." Kiko said. "I'm counting on that. Cause as it stands now. Thanks to them I have no story. No past or even family." Kibe said, Kiko stared at him. In all of her time knowing Kibe, only at this moment she was worried. Cause in his voice she heard someone who sounded like they had no more connections. No more concerns about who he hurt.
"Kibe-"
"I've decided to abandon them. The Pale Palace and all things associated with it." Kibe said as he turned to Kenji and Kiko.
"Hey man, you don't want to do that. If there's one thing I know for certain about them, its that they don't take kindly to traitors or rouges." Kenji said. "Thinking about my well being now? Thats very unlike you." Kibe said as he looked to Kenji.
"No, I just don't want them to kill you or worse, before I get a chance to settle the score with you." Kenji said with a annoyed look. "Well, you'll get your chance when the transfers arrive." Kibe said as he then started walking past them.
"If you do this, we can't be associated with you. You know that." Kiko said turning to Kibe, Kenji scoffed and put his hands in his pockets. Kibe stopped a few feet away and turned his head to them. "I know. I wouldn't want you to be. You both have given me something. In the law of equivalent exchange, I owe you something back. That would be not getting you involved with what I have planned.
The Pale Palace has taken a lot from me. My future, my life and my story. Theres nothing I want from them, but they want everything from me. I don't get emotional and don't really care about a lot of things. However, time has made realize that you two are the only things that are real when it comes to my life. I'd rather not lose anything like that. So do what you have to do, and I'll do what I need to." Kibe said as he stared walking, but thats when stopped again and put his finger up. He then turned to them again.
"One more thing though, know this. I've given you an out. You have the full capability to make your own choices and do what you need to, to survive.
However, if you decide to come for me. If you even think about getting in my way. Know that in the same law of equivalent exchange. I will return it. Ten fold." Kibe said
"..." Kiko and Kenji didn't have anything to say nor did they know what to say. As at that moment. Kibe had declared his departure from the pale palace and his war aginst the World of Intellectualism. Kenji felt a coldness, a distance now more than ever growing between Kibe, him and Kiko. Its just as Kiko had said. Kibe was severing his ties and connections.
"Where are you going?" Kiko asked, "Wouldn't you like to know." Kibe said as he vanished around the corner of the hall.
Back at Swan River General Hospital, Dr.Tomomasa was finishing his writings and fileings. Thats when he'd lean back and stretch. His mind still lingering on what Mr.Nakayama had said. He took off his reading glasses as he scratched his chin. He then walked over to his silver tray next to his cabinets. He poured himself a shot of whiskey. Sighing as he did.
"Still time for one last session? Doctor." Asked a familiar voice, Dr.Tomomasa's spine got a chill, his hands then shook for a moment. He licked his lips. Thats when he'd turn around and see Nori Kibe. Sitting in one of the chairs in his room. His heart nearly stopped when they're eyes met.
"...Kibe." Dr.Tomomasa muttered.
