Himmy was standing in her apartment. The old smell and feeling being present there. Her apartment still a mess even after all the time that had passed. She looked over to table that her and Kibe once sat at. The place almost felt like a distant cage to her. Like walking into a pen and having the gate shut on you.
As she walked around, different memories of her's came to burrow at the front of her mind. She saw her mother, her mother and their old home. She witnessed as she saw her mother slam the door closed to her room. A belt in her hand.
"I SAW YOU LOOKING AT HIM!? DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE ME!?" her mother screamed. She searched Himmy's room, tearing it apart as she looked for her.
"WHEN WILL YOU REALIZE THAT I'M ALL YOU HAVE! I'M EVERYTHING YOU NEED! You would leave me? You want to leave me!? Just like that bastard of a father!?" Shouted Himmy's mother. Himmy, this younger version of her. Was hiding under her bed. She was crying and covering her ears. Soon, the noise of her wrecked room and hysterical mother would become silent. The only thing being capable of being heard. Were the sounds of cars passing by.
Himmy herself now found herself under her old bed.
"Are these events what I remember? Or are they what he wants me to remember...so I stay away from the past.
So I can be...alone. Write my story as if I was born from nothing. Yet even when I try to do so. Its always his voice narrating. Talking and speaking on every single thing. Like as if its a documentary or a book to be read. It sometimes makes me wonder...if he's allowing me to write, but he himself is the editor who goes over.
Correcting mistakes and fixing what he thinks may be; meaningless." Himmy thought, however those very thoughts would not share her voice, but another's. The voice of Nori Kibe. Every thought was in his tone, in his decimal and in his pitch. It was all him. Himmy remained under the bed.
"Himmy." Said Kibe's voice. Himmy turned her head, looking out from the bed to see a familiar pair of shoes. She crawled out and saw Kibe looking down at her. His hand down fo help her up.
"He will do anything to keep me close, and I will do the same to stay close. Juo is gone, this...machine. Has completely bewitched me into it's web of manipulation and deceit. Yet like any horrific scene...I am unable to look away." Said Himmy's thoughts, yet still. They were said in Kibe's voice as she took his hand and stood up. Kibe looked at her and then around the room. He walked around this memory, rather it be of his own making or a true reflection of Himmy's mind; with the class and sway that he had always been here. Looking at things like as if they were old to him.
"This room is yours, but the house is mine. You know that." Kibe said as he looked at a doll. Picking it up, it looked just like Himmy.
"I do." Himmy replied
"Yet you choose to stay here anyway." Kibe said
"...Wh...where else am I to go?" Himmy stuttered, her voice a bit shaky. Kibe looked at the doll some more. His hands moving over its cheeks and feeling its eyes, chest, legs, torso and heart. Thats when two other. Pairs of arms would appear and also begin to touch the doll.
"...What are you doing to me?" Himmy asked
"I am molding, reconfiguring and redesigning what others have left in shambles. You have been left in pieces. Whatever room you tried to fill, you filled with nonsense. Drugs, junk food and false love." Kibe said as he walked over to Himmy. His other two pairs of arms feeling the floor or touching around the air. Thats when Kibe would stand in front of Himmy. Both of them looking at one another. Kibe's right hand went up and grazed Himmy's cheek. Touching, feeling and massaging her.
"I seek to furnishe it better. I know I can. I know, you know, that I can." Kibe said, his other arms coming up and feeling Himmy. Yet the touches were not sexual, never did they venture anywhere they shouldn't. All touches were something akin to mythical. Finding places on her body she didn't even know she had.
"You're afraid of what will be left, its a natural fear. You must relinquish it, cast aside all doubt of what you may miss and only desire what you will be. What I can make.
As the fabricator and designer of your inner compass, I am to be destoryer and benefactor. I create and will destory. As I must to make what should be. I will keep your things outside my memory palace. Your childish ambitions, your small goals, pet peeves, kinks, itches, longtime and shortime goals as well. Everything will be with me." Kibe said as his hands then grabbed at her face, one pair of hands cupping her face, the other brushing her hair and the other wrapped around her neck.
"Who will I be without them all? What will I be?" Himmy asked
"You will be what you should and have always meant to be. Do not worry, this old version of you will be kept within me.
For you see, outside my memory palace lays the rest of the memories that linger beyond my unconscious and sudo-conscious. It is within my universe of evocation. Earth. Its grass, every drop of water and to every patch of sky lingers a memory. I am not limited to this though. Even the very stars linger my memories, and the memories of every other I have ever met.
Now, yours will lay there. Making way for this new you. The you that should have been acting through this story from the beginning." Kibe said, with that Himmy would then return to reality. She looked around and found her apartment was cleaner, trash bags around her as she sat at the table. Likely all filled garbage. She looked at her hand and felt her neck.
"Stubborn..." she said. Her dark eyes lingering on her apartment and its new condition. Trash still lingered, but it was more clean than before..
Back at the unknown location.
Kibe looked at them. His face unchanging.
"The rules are simple, its just like Russian roulette.
Except instead of a revolver. You instead have M16s and assault rifles. The idea is this, each magazine has 5 blanks and 5 actual rounds. You must place a bet on your life boy.
If each soldier must fire a round, if its a blank and they attempt to shoot you. Then the next round must be tested on one of their team mates.
If they don't shoot you and want to test it, then its the same. Must be tested on one of them. However if you get shot then its all over!" Bo said, Kibe looked at them. All the men chuckled to one another as they aimed at Kibe.
Kibe just looked at them as he had his hands up.
"You all should know before you shoot, those are all blanks." Kibe said, all the men chuckled to one another.
"You're full of it! We just got these." Said one man
"When did you order for them? I bet the shipment took you, a month or so to get." Kibe asked. Then men looked at one another. The man who spoke before looked to Kibe and shrugged.
"A month yea." Said the man.
"Well, I ordered for a massive shipment of guns to be replaced with blanks." Kibe said, thats when all of them would look at one another. One of the men looked at their magazine. Then to Kibe who just stared at them.
"Hes bluffing, theres no way he could-"
"I could what? Manage to somehow switch out all shipments of bullets in Japan, Germany, Russia, Venezuela and Mexico with fake bullets?
It sounds absurd yes...
Unfortunately for you all, I don't live in nor like absurdities." Kibe said his voice was spoken with such certainty and seriousness. Everyone, even Bo. All were now living in a reality they themselves were unsure of. They no longer felt like their actions, even a month ago. Were their own. Bo then got up and grabbed the hand gun of one of the guys next to him. He then immediately turned off the safety and pointed it at the mic.
"You're bluffing." Bo said
"If I am then I die, if I'm not, which I'm not; then all you're men die." Kibe said
"..."
"Unless, you let me go." Kibe said
"If I let you go then you'll just come after me." Bo said
"Hmp, sounds like someone who knows exactly how deep he's in.
Little secret by the way. Next time you want to hunt something, don't capture it and then give it a chance to escape. Had you any sense, you would have killed me at that school or at least tried." Kibe said
"DON'T FUCK WITH ME! I've killed hundreds of people, animals and maniacs like you! You think you can get to me!? Think you can beat me! Well your wrong.
Your little retarded mind games are bullshit! I've read your file. Its horseshit! YOU'RE horseshit! So here's a little mind game for you!" Bo shouted, Kibe then put his hands down and in his pockets. He then began to look at the men in front of him. All of them now even more concerned because of Bo's hysterical response. As Bo continued to ramble on about Kibe. One of the soldiers looked at Kibe and saw him staring at him.
"...You're going to die." Kibe mouthed, the man began to sweat, dripping down his face and over his eyes.
"SO HERES WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN! I'm gonna fire this pistol and then when it fires, I'll come down there and kill you myself." Bo shouted, his head was spinning. He finally understood what Takashi meant. Nori Kibe truly was something else entirely. The room was dead quiet, Kibe and Bo playing the mind game that would decide everything. If the guns were indeed filled with blanks, then there was nothing standing between Kibe and the rest of them. If they were filled with bullets after all. Then the game would continue.
Bo got ready, sweat running down his face while Kibe was calm and collected. Bo looked to see his hand was a bit shaky. He then got his nerves together and fired the gun...
The sound went off, all of the soldiers stood in anticipation.
"...Its...a blank." Bo said, All the soldiers then fired at Kibe 5 times, but all of them were blanks. Every. Single. One. Kibe just looked at them. All of them were completely dumbfounded. Kibe then grabbed the grated gate.
"Game over." Kibe said. On the other side of the door, Brandon woukd be sitting next to the body of the inspector when he heard loud shouts and grunts and then screams. He immediately went to the door to get a listen, but it was all muffled. Brandon stood back a few paces, thats when he'd see the door beep and open. He saw the cage had been torn open. Brandon walked in slowly.
"He must have really either not wanted to play, or they had already lost. For small moments its easy to forget Kibe even exist, its funny. He has the personality of a nobody. Yet is the most intriguing person in all of Japan so far." Brandon said as he walked through the broken cage. He then looked around, it was fairly dark, but thats when he saw the soldiers. Brandon saw them, his eyes were hooked on their bodies. He then noticed a cold breeze, he looked forward and saw the last open door. He walked in and saw he was now in a hallway.
He looked down both paths, only one of them had a breeze coming down it. His hair slightly moving. Brandon then turned back around in the room and grabbed one of the guns from the room. Brandon held the pistol on his hand. Brandon then saw an open door ahead of the dark hallway. He pushed the door more open and saw it was still morning, pretty much the evening. Thats when he saw Kibe standing a few feet away. Brandon looked around and saw they were in pretty much nowhere. Endless road for miles. With Ginza only being visible from afar. Brandon turned around to see they were in a massive warehouse yard. Hundreds of them back to back.
"Here." Kibe said as threw Brandon's phone to him. Brandon caught it and then looked to Kibe. The two staring at one another.
"Did you win the game?" Brandon asked
"Not yet." Kibe said as he looked around trying to find some tracks of Bo, yet he saw nothing. Suddenly Bo would show up in the doorway that Brandon had entered in. Kibe and Brandon looked to him with Brandon immediately pointing his gun at him. Bo snickered.
"Go ahead, they're all blanks anyway. But who am I to deny you such a pleasure. I do outdo you." Bo smirked, Brandon looked at him clicked off the safety and shot Bo right in the chest. The bullet going all the way through. Bo's face full of shock and suprise. Bo collapsed backwards, coughing up blood as he held his chest. Kibe then got out his phone and called Mr.Nakayama. much later the paramedics would take Bo with restraints. Kibe and Brandon sat inside of a police car. Both seemingly exhausted. Brandon then looked to Kibe who was sitting back with his arms crossed.
"Nori you'd look great in a sports bra by the way." Brandon said, Kibe quickly looked at him with a face of mild confusion.
"And you would look great buried 50,000 feet under the ground." Kibe said, Brandon looked at him and began laughing while Kibe just rolled his eyes. An officer came over to them and put his hand on the roof of the car.
"Alright boys, where to? I can drop you off at the police station or your home. Which to?" Asked the officer.
"Can I get a full look at the sights? See some casinos and maybe some nice ladies?" Brandon winked, the officer looked at him and then Kibe who shook his head.
"To the stati-" thats when Kibe saw Hideaki and Ido Cho, the other 3rd head of the student council. She was standing next to Hideaki wearing a large hoodie, much bigger than her and a jar of gum drops. Kibe then opened the car door and got out.
"You got somewhere to be?" Brandon asked
"Go on without me. Tell Mr.Nakayama what happened here. Try not to be so "excited" about it." Kibe said as he closed the door and walked across the street looking both ways.
"Nori Kibe, wanna gummy?" Cho asked, her voice muffled from having a full mouth as she offered him some candy.
"I'll pass thanks." Kibe said as he stood on their side of the street. "I'm guessing this is much more than just a friendly visit, so what is it?" Kibe asked. Brandon watched them from across the street before the car he was in drove off.
"You've been busy. I'm gone for a day and the school has a killing in it and you get kidnapped. You really are an exciting person." Hideaki said
"What. Is it?" Kibe asked again
"Oh my straight to the point, I like him. So serious." Cho said as she kept eating her candy.
"I need a favor from you again, this one is a little more difficult. Theres some information I know you'd like to hear too, so I'm willing to exchange some with you before anything goes down just yet." Hideaki said as a limo drove next to Kibe and them. A valet would come out of the passenger seat and walk over to the backdoor opening it. Kibe looked inside and saw it had a velvet interior and comfy seats. A table inside with drinks as well. Even a small laptop.
"So. What do you say?" Hideaki asked, Kibe looked at them and then past them to Ginza.
"Please? We have snacks you may actually like in there." Cho said
"...Any green tea?" Kibe asked
"No sir, but we can stop by and get some." Said the valet. Kibe looked at him before he nodded.
"Alright. Let's hear it." Kibe said. Hideaki smiled as they all then got in the back of the limo. All of them were sitting down as the limo drove its way back to Ginza and Ushin. Kibe was sitting back with Cho next to him eating her sweets. Kibe looked at Hideaki who was sitting across from him. Hideaki then leaned back with his arms folded.
"I'm sure you've heard or know of one the new set of students arriving to Sawa high.
There also is a new head master, he arrived not too long ago. I won't ask anything regarding this or whats happened today. Just to let you know, that I'll cover for you, in exchange that you aid me. Like you are for Rin. This won't interfere with what you have planned, infact you may even enjoy this." Hideaki said
"I doubt that." Kibe said
"Oh trust him." Said Cho, Kibe looked over to her. She bit into one of her gummies. "If there's one thing that Hideaki is not, its boring. If he's telling you that you may like something. Theres always a 50% chance you always will." Cho said
"You should listen to her. I never dissapoint." Hideaki said
"We'll see." Kibe said "What is it that you'll give me in exchange for aiding you?" Kibe asked
"Information, you see, one of the students arriving to this school; has been in constant mental warfare with me. One of his actions I've now uncovered, even stoops to sending a undercover student here to monitor events and report back to him."Hideaki said
"This student, you want me to take care of the supposed spy?" Kibe said
"I'm just informing you of their existence. Whatever you do with them; is entirely up to you." Hideaki said as he typed in something on his laptop. Kibe just stared at him.
"Hes hoping that this individual must be of some importance to me, hes reaching for a reaction from me. Does he truly expect this person to force me to take action?
...Not just that. But now one of my old teachers from my days in the pale palace; are now the head master of my school. Mizuki Shinjō, what knowledge on me do you have? What can I learn from someone like you." Kibe thought, thats when Hideaki would turn the screen around to show the potential spy.
"This is who I suspect." Hideaki said turning his laptop towards Kibe, and at the same time Mr.Miyuki had just informed Mr.Nakayama who was in the hospital sitting up. He was looking at the folder while Mr.Miyuki was sitting next to him.
"Thats the list of students that came in that year; the email was sent to the old head master of Sawa High.
There's not many, but we still have a list over 10 to-"
"Its this one." Mr.Nakayama said, Mr.Miyuki looked at him.
"Are you sure? Do you know them?" Mr.Miyuki asked
"Yes, they are the one who shot me at Sawa High." Mr.Nakayama, elsewhere Kibe was staring at the screen. He didn't exactly know how to respond to what he was seeing.
"So thats who he suspects." Kibe thought
"So thats them." Mr.Miyuki thought
"You do know this student right?" Hideaki said
"Yes..." Kibe said
"Ouchi Mi." Kibe & Mr.Nakayama both said.
