Chapter 15 - Strength in Formation: The Blue Flamingos' Power

The entire time, the horse had been screaming madly from the pain, even while being airborne, its screams didn't stop for a moment.

THis horrible sound persisted until the horse hit a big tree. After that, the sounds stopped for a few seconds, since the horse had fainted from the impact.

Also, blood started to flow like a vast river, splashing everywhere from its two mouths. To my surprise, the blood, which was supposed to be red in color, was instead a deep purple. Moreover, upon touching the grass, a sizzling sound was heard as the plants began to slowly die.e.

"Damn, even its blood is poisoned. How was this horse still alive?" I wondered aloud in surprise, looking at the gushing purple blood.

This horse was really on its last legs and had lost its mind from the strong poison. Thankfully, I was incredibly strong now, easily able to overpower the 5-meter-tall horse.

After a few seconds, one of the two heads woke up. It immediately started screaming again, feeling that it was very close to death, despair filling its poisoned heart.

I felt a bit of pity for this big horse. It had lost its mind due to the poison and attacked a stronger creature than itself, which led to a sooner and more painful death than the one it would have gotten from just being poisoned.

Since the horse's legs were broken and it was also unable to move, it wouldn't be able to follow me or try to attack anymore. So, it was time to leave this tragic scene.

Well, at least I gained something from this strange encounter. I now somewhat understood my new strength; being able to fling such a big horse into the air meant that I could easily generate more than 3 tons of strength, which was quite an incredible amount.

With that understanding, I left the dying horse and began looking for prey to hunt and grow stronger.

While I was moving through the dense forest and avoiding powerful vibrations while also being vigilant of my surroundings, I stumbled upon a flock of big blue birds that looked like a scaled-up flamingo. The only differences were their blue color, longer necks, and huge size of 4 meters.

I had noticed that as I went deeper into the forest, the animals were also getting bigger and bigger in size. I strongly believed that the environment had something to do with this, but I wasn't sure.

Without even knowing, I had actually guessed correctly because as one goes deeper into the Dark Forest, the Qi in the air also becomes denser and more potent, which makes the animals around here become much stronger and exponentially increasing in size as well.

Anyway, this big flamingo seemed to be good prey for me right now since its huge body made it a perfect meal for my heavenly devouring ability.

But the question still remained: Was I able to hunt these big birds successfully?

Having experienced the terror of the green frog, I never underestimated the animals in this forest again. Even with my explosive growth in strength, I still wasn't confident in fighting any beast I encountered.

So, it was time to observe once again.

After looking for a good spot to hide that also enabled me to observe the big bird well, I started to patiently wait and gather information about this creature.

After a few hours of observing, I had gotten a pretty good understanding of this blue flamingo.

For starters, this bird was a herbivore, eating strange and huge white mushrooms that grew all around this part of the forest. Also, it liked to live in groups of around 10, which, as I had observed, was a crucial part of its survival.

While I was observing, a big red tiger creature had come to hunt the flamingos. The tiger creature was peculiar; it was around three meters in length and around two in height, which made it look quite imposing but still felt short compared to the four-meter-tall blue bird. But nevertheless, this big cat had one strange characteristic: it had six pairs of eyes, all of different colors, which made it look extremely intimidating and striking.

But it seemed that this only gave the big tiger better eyesight than most since it still was unable to hunt the big flamingo birds successfully.

The battle went down like this: the six-eyed tiger tried to sneak up on a blue flamingo bird that was eating a big mushroom a bit farther away from the rest of the flamingos.

But sadly, the red tiger was very unlucky as one of the other flamingo birds had seen it sneak up on its comrade and made a loud sound, alerting all the other flamingo birds. This, in turn, made the tiger's prey run away, trying to reunite with the other nine birds.

Upon seeing that it had been discovered, the six-eyed tiger didn't give up on its prey and instead chased after it into the group of flamingos.

Now, this is where the strange tactic of this big blue bird came into action.

Once all the flamingo birds were together, they formed a circle, covering each other's blind spots, and also, at the same time, pointing their incredibly sharp beaks at the incoming tiger, creating a powerful-looking formation that gave great defense and attack power.

Once the tiger reached the birds, it immediately tried to pounce on one of the flamingos birds forming the powerful formation. And what awaited it was a rain of sharp beaks dropping from 4 meters down with tremendous momentum, attacking it from all sides with their long and flexible necks.

And so, in just a few minutes, this powerful-looking six-eyed tiger became a bloody mess filled with holes all around its body after being drowned by continuous attacks.

And so the big tiger was dead, its once powerful-looking body reduced to a bloody piece of mangled flesh.

Truly, a tragic death for such a striking predator.
