Being directly hit by Conqueror's Haki, which can cause some physical damage, Boa Hancock still felt her will weakening, even though she also had Conqueror's Haki herself. It was overwhelming.
Arthur and Red-Haired Shanks were clashing with their Conqueror's Haki, and Shanks was slowly losing ground.
As for Boa Hancock, the moment Arthur unleashed his Haki on her, she was knocked back as if her strength collapsed.
"How is this possible? This kind of Haki..."
Boa Hancock muttered, her red lips slightly parted in shock. Her pupils shrank as she felt confused and overwhelmed.
Nearby, her sisters, Sandersonia and Marigold, noticed something was wrong with their elder sister. Even though they were used to seeing her Conqueror's Haki, they had never seen anyone's Haki at this level before.
Since Arthur's Haki didn't affect them, they assumed it must be some kind of Devil Fruit attack.
Worried, the two sisters rushed forward with their weapons to defend their sister.
"Huh?" Arthur raised an eyebrow, glancing at Boa Hancock before turning his attention to the two sisters.
Boom!
The sisters suddenly felt like they had been hit with a wave of icy cold water. Their bodies shook uncontrollably, and they lost the ability to move.
Arthur hadn't directly targeted them with his Conqueror's Haki, but the sheer intensity of it was enough to crush the minds of ordinary people, and just a glance from him had overwhelmed them.
Although the other members of the Kuja Pirates had seen Conqueror's Haki before, none of them had ever experienced this kind of overwhelming force. They, too, thought it was some kind of attack.
Seeing the sisters trembling, the rest of the crew assumed Arthur was attacking and charged at him angrily.
"How dare you! Let go of Lady Hancock!"
"Insolent fool! Release Lady Hancock!"
Arthur narrowed his eyes, preparing to expand his Haki's range when he heard Boa Hancock's charming voice.
"Enough! Stop!" Her words were directed at both Arthur and her crew.
As Hancock began to recover her strength, Arthur loosened his grip.
He had no choice but to let go, and he couldn't bring himself to look down at her. Even though he wasn't inexperienced anymore, Boa Hancock's beauty and charm were irresistible, and he found it hard to control himself, especially after not having much of a love life lately.
Hancock lowered her legs and addressed her crew: "Stand down. You are no match for this man."
The Kuja Pirates looked frustrated, but obediently retreated. If even their captain admitted they were outmatched, what else could they do? Still, they didn't lower their weapons, staying ready for any sudden attack while keeping a close eye on Arthur.
As the island came closer, Boa Hancock frowned and said, "Leave my ship, you rude man. Don't let the island get too close to my homeland."
Arthur understood. He now realized why Hancock had stopped here and was preparing to land.
He had thought Amazon Lily was located on the Calm Belt, far away, but now it seemed closer to Sky Island than he had expected.
It made sense, though. In the original story, Hancock had taken Luffy to Impel Down in a short amount of time, which wouldn't have been possible if they were farther away.
Yet, somehow, the last time Arthur explored this area, he hadn't noticed the island.
Arthur was near the edge of the Calm Belt, not deep within it, which was about 300 kilometers away. Amazon Lily, located in the center of the Calm Belt, was nearly a thousand kilometers from where he stood.
Using his Observation Haki, Arthur expanded his awareness, covering a radius of 350 kilometers. From his current location, if he moved forward less than 300 kilometers, the moving island he was on would collide with the outskirts of Amazon Lily.
Realizing this, Arthur used his electromagnetic powers to send a message upward. "Jessica, shift the island 20 kilometers to the left. There's a human-inhabited island 280 kilometers away."
As he spoke, the island began to slowly change direction.
Boa Hancock, still shocked, realized that the island was indeed being controlled by someone. The sheer power it took to move an island like this stunned her. She had thought it was the rude man in front of her doing it, but to her surprise, there was someone else behind it — and it was a woman. She had never heard of a woman with such incredible strength.
With the island moving away, Boa Hancock didn't say much but gave Arthur a displeased look.
Arthur smiled and said, "I've heard you're an empress. On Sky Island, they call me a god, which is similar to an emperor. I'll be sure to visit you sometime!"
With that, Arthur floated into the air, adjusted his direction, and looked back at Boa Hancock.
He grinned and said, "As expected of the world's most beautiful woman, you truly live up to your reputation! We'll meet again, and next time, you'll definitely be mine! Hahahaha!"
Arthur's laughter echoed as he flew away.
Listening to his bold declaration, Boa Hancock snorted with disdain and walked back into the ship's cabin.
Her two younger sisters, Sandersonia and Marigold, followed close behind.
Inside the cabin, Boa Hancock reclined lazily on her pet snake, with her eyes half-closed.
Sandersonia spoke up, "Eldest sister, is that man... someone with Conqueror's Haki too?"
Boa Hancock recalled the powerful Haki she had just faced and frowned as she nodded. "That man… his Conqueror's Haki is terrifying. It's the strongest Haki I've ever encountered, capable of causing real physical damage. Rumor has it only Red-Haired Shanks can do that."
"That explains it!" Marigold said, still shivering at the memory of Arthur's intense stare. Both she and Sandersonia were still shaken by it.
"What is his goal? Why move with an island?" Marigold asked, concerned.
"I don't know. We'll just have to wait and see. But if it comes down to it, the Kuja Pirates won't be afraid to fight! Even if he's incredibly strong!" Boa Hancock, as always, remained confident despite the odds, showing the true spirit of someone with Conqueror's Haki.
Meanwhile, Arthur returned to his island, sitting on its edge, watching the Sea Kings moving below in the ocean.
At the same time, he couldn't stop thinking about Boa Hancock. With a sly grin, he muttered, "Hmm~ Boa Hancock, the Pirate Empress, one of the most beautiful women in the world… I must win her over!"
Three days later, the island was about 9,000 kilometers from the entrance to the Grand Line and nearly 3,000 kilometers from the end of the first half of the Grand Line. The moving island was now only 300 kilometers from the Calm Belt and had begun descending slowly.
Amazon Lily, meanwhile, was 8,000 kilometers away from the Grand Line. In other words, it was just over a thousand kilometers from Sky Island, but because Amazon Lily was in the center of the Calm Belt and Sky Island was on the edge, the journey was longer.
The current location was the one Arthur had previously decided on with Jessica.
The vine-covered island wasn't placed directly in the sea but was merged with a small desert island nearby.
The history of Sky Island and the Kingdom of Angels was gone, lost to time. But now, a new empire had risen — the Sky Empire, known as the Angel Empire. It was one of the most powerful nations in the world.
