Chapter 48 - Chapter 48

Raki lay on Arthur's chest, listening to his strong heartbeat. She kneaded the fat in her hands, feeling its smoothness like suet jade. Arthur responded, "It's been a while. The Angel Kingdom's situation is mostly settled, but there's more to do before it's fully established."

"Now, I have some matters to attend to outside. Going to the New World is more about assessing my current position."

Raki lifted her head and kissed Arthur lightly. "Then, be careful," she said.

Arthur nodded. "If Jessica returns and asks about me, let her know to be cautious and wait for me in Dressrosa."

"I understand," Raki replied, her eyes shimmering with a newfound depth, reflecting a blend of autumn water and spring vibes.

The night passed quietly, and Arthur bid farewell to Raki early the next morning.

Having informed the country's officials and the chief instructors of Urouge about his trip to the New World, Arthur swiftly resumed the training plans for the Ten Army Corps upon his return.

Ten days later, on Chambord Island, Arthur donned the iconic black suit he had worn during his encounter with Crocodile, complete with a black cloak fastened by a gold jewelry chain at the back.

This suit was reminiscent of the one he had admired in his previous life, belonging to the legendary Peepley Lulu First Generation, known as the animation Tom killer.

Regarding the absence of wings, Arthur had discarded the clueless Taiko drum and discovered its ability to store significant amounts of lightning. Scientists on the moon had identified a special organizational structure within the Taiko drums similar to that found in lightning shells, capable of storing electricity. However, separating this organization from the Raiden Bay was a challenge due to the risk of losing its electricity-storing capabilities.

Arthur ingeniously integrated this special organization from the Taiko drum beneath the base of his wing, enhancing its thundering capabilities while conserving energy efficiently. This adjustment served as a minor diversion for Arthur, easily manageable and not overly draining on his resources.

Arthur's cautious approach on Sabaody Archipelago Island was driven by a desire to maintain a low profile, especially in areas frequented by Celestial Dragons. Despite his confidence in handling most opponents, he preferred not to attract unnecessary attention.

Skipping the bar where Rayleigh frequented, Arthur explored the vibrant streets without drawing too much notice. Disappointed by the absence of Celestial Dragons, he turned his attention to Doflamingo's clandestine auction house.

The auction showcased various luxury items and Zoan Devil Fruits, but Arthur, uninterested unless they were rare or powerful types, refrained from bidding. His focus lay primarily on Paramecia or Logia fruits.

After two days of uneventful exploration, Arthur departed Chambord Island by yacht, seeking new adventures beyond its shores.

Arthur's journey to Fish-Man Island was remarkably smooth compared to the adventures of Luffy and others, who often encountered various challenges and adversaries along the way. Arthur marveled at the underwater beauty of the One Piece world, finding the deep sea there more fascinating than Earth's.

Despite encountering a few Sea Kings initially, Arthur used his Conqueror's Haki to deter them and safely arrived at Fish-Man Island without major incidents. The underwater world of Fish-Man Island was a spectacle, filled with beautiful mermaids and intriguing murlocs.

While admiring the mermaids' beauty and rich weaponry, Arthur couldn't help but comment on their allure, noting how humans often captured them for profit due to their stunning appearance.

Enjoying the unique experience of being in the vibrant underwater world of Pirate World.
