[Enemy dungeon core detected]
[3 options available]
[First option: Consume enemy dungeon core]
[Consuming the enemy dungeon core will convert all resource contained inside into DP for your use]
[Second option: Assimilate dungeon core]
[Dungeon core will be assimilated; all creature resources will be copied into your dungeon.]
[Third option: Sub-dungeon]
[Creating a sub-dungeon will bind the enemy dungeon core to yourself.]
Max had to ask DC several questions since the descriptions of his options did not give him a lot of information.
The first option was straightforward enough, it turned everything the opposing dungeon master had into DP and then deposited into his account.
The second option was worthless for Max, but that was because his dungeon core was fully unlocked. A normal dungeon master was only able to employ creatures from his own race. Hizon, the opposing dungeon master had originally only been able to use goblin type creatures. Max assumed that at some point he defeated a bug type dungeon and chose the second option which let him use the bullet ants and that giant beetle creature.
Since Max's dungeon core was fully unlocked, he could already buy goblins and bugs. If he chose the second option, he would only get a few monster spawners from the enemy dungeon and nothing else.
The third option turned the enemy dungeon core into a sub-dungeon. Basically, he could open a dungeon within his dungeon. This sub-dungeon would keep the DP the core had banked and would keep the monster resources it had. Those resources could not be transferred to the main dungeon and would be under the control of a dungeon master that was appointed by Max. What miffed him was that he could not appoint himself as master of the sub-dungeon.
Max woke from his thoughts as he saw several of the creatures who had died fighting for him appear on the first level.
Anna opened a portal and appeared beside him. She quickly wrapped him in a hug.
"I was so worried that something was going to happen to you."
Max gave her a kiss. "I am fine. We didn't have any trouble."
Anna was holding onto his arm tightly. He could see that she really had been worried. Even now that the dungeon battle was over, there was still a few traces of stress on her face.
He wanted to comfort her here and now, but everyone was standing around waiting for him to say something.
"Good work everyone. The dungeon battle is over, and I will make surr that the best food and alcohol we have is sent out tonight. But for now, we still have adventures waiting to get back into the dungeon so let's get to work."
With that, the creatures started heading back to their levels.
Even though he was new, Quin was smart enough to make himself scarce. He left with Broomer and Elroband to check out the third level.
Max stepped through a portal and led Anna back to their home. Once inside she hugged him tightly and began to cry.
"I was so scared that you were going to leave me."
"Shh, it's alright." Max said while rubbing her back.
"I was worried that you were going to die, and I would be all alone again."
Max sighed while comforting her. He was feeling a little bad. He had treated the dungeon battle like a game while she was worried that he may never come back. Making a promise in his heart, he decided that he would treat every dungeon battle as seriously as possible even if the enemy was much weaker than him.
Once she settled down, Anna grabbed Max and began to kiss him. When their lips parted, she grabbed his hand and led him into the bedroom.
"I don't think there is a reason to wait anymore." She said while stepping out of her dress and letting it pool on the ground. Anna turned to Max and began to take off his tie while he slipped out of his jacket.
Max began to unbutton his shirt while Anna tossed her underwear to the side. "Max, me a woman."

3 hours later max was laying in bed while Anna rested her head on his shoulder. A wide grin spread across his face. It was even better than he had imagined.
He was silently asking DC questions about his choices of what to do with the dungeon core while Anna clung to him under the covers. He gently stroked her hair while she was taking a nap.
After checking the time, he gently woke her up.
"Hmm, what's wrong?" She mumbled when Max roused her from sleep.
"It is too early to call it a night, we still need to get some dinner."
Anna slightly nodded while hugging him tightly.
When she began to stretch, Max slipped out of bed and pulled on some sweatpants.
"Can you hand me my robe?" She asked.
Max was glad to comply. He liked it when she wore the thin silk robed that barely covered her bottom.
"Uhh." She let out a soft grunt while getting up from the bed. "Help me out, I am too sore." She pouted.
Max helped her up and let her lean on him as she put the robe on.
"What are you smiling for? It's all your fault." She said while taking his arm and following him out onto the balcony while walking with a slight limp.
"Well… it's like exercising. If you never exercise and then do a bunch you will end up sore and worn out. But that doesn't mean you should stop. No, it means you should keep at and exercise more often. That way you won't get sore."
"Bah, you're just a brute." She said while tossing a dinner roll at him while the automaton set down the rest of their meal.
"So you don't want to exercise again?" Max asked.
"I didn't say that." She whispered with red cheeks.
When she saw Max snickering she reached over and pinched him. "Stop teasing me."
"Oww, sorry, sorry." He said while pulling his chair next to her so they could sit side by side instead of across from each other.
"You are forgiven, now telling me everything that happened once you went into the other dungeon."
The pair spent the rest of the evening talking about the battle and trading ideas on what to do with the dungeon core. They both agreed the second option was out.
They had several ideas of things they could do with the third option, but DC wasn't able to answer all their questions. In the end they decided to take the risk after DC gave them a rough estimate of the DP they would gain if they went with the first option.
DC was fairly certain that once converted to DP the other dungeon wouldn't even break one million Dungeon Points. Since that was the case, Max selected the third option.
[Third option: Sub-dungeon selected]
[Please designate Dungeon Master]
A large list appeared before Max. It included everyone who was eligible to become dungeon master.
His first thought was to make Anna the dungeon master, but he tossed that idea aside when he learned that she would no longer be able to continue as his assistant. Anna also didn't want to leave her current position to be a master to a bunch of goblins and bugs.
Looking through the list, Max realized he was in a bit of a pickle. Every person in his dungeon already had a roll they filled perfectly. If he changed them into the master of his sub-dungeon then he would have to replace their current position.
The only person who wouldn't need to be replaced was Quin. But making him a dungeon master wasn't a good decision. He was just a contracted worker. He may work for the dungeon but he wasn't part of the dungeon.
It was Anna who finally made a decision.
[Dungeon Master accepted]
On the balcony, before the two, a hobgoblin began to materialize. Hizon quickly looked around while trying to get his bearings. He then noticed Max in front of him.
"How am I here?" The hobgoblin asked with a bit of trepidation in his voice.
"Well, I decided to use your dungeon core to create a sub-dungeon and I have decided to appoint you as the dungeon master."
Hizon's eyes went wide. He quickly calmed himself down. The hobgoblin had never created a sub dungeon, but he knew a little bit about them. While he was in control of the sub-dungeon and his resource couldn't be stolen away from the main dungeon, Max could still cause him a lot of problems and easily destroy him. Max could board up the entrance to his sub-dungeon and the main dungeon also had a say in how he expanded.
"How do you wish to proceed?" Hizon asked.
