Adrian quickly carried her up in his arms when Damian came out of nowhere when he heard screams. "Dad, what happened to her?" He asked his father.
Without replying to his son, he took Diane to an old but neatly arranged room and laid her on the bed while Damian and Ashely followed but stood by the door of the bedroom. He sent for doctors to check on her, soon the medical practitioners came in and he excused himself and the children.
"Where the hell is my sister?" Gianna ran into the hall like a mad woman, hours later.
"Mom, calm down the doctors are attending to her, she'll be fine," the little girl tried to comfort her mother but got ignored in the process. Just then Gianna laid her eyes on Adrian who was resting on the wall unconcerned about his environment.
"You should have let her be when I told you to!" She dashed again to hit Adrian, who was fast enough to hold her in place, she had called him to let him know about her sister's arrival and told him to let her be.
Realising herself, she arranged herself and stepped back. Soon after the doctors came out of the room and approached where Adrian and Gianna stood, "there's nothing wrong with her," the doctor said and the duo felt relieved, "but she seems to be crying even though she's unconscious." He continued, leaving Gianna in deep thought.
Adrian dismissed the doctor, after thinking for a while she spoke up, "I'll go home with my daughter first, let Diane spend the night here, I'll come back to see her tomorrow with guardians to check up on her since it seem she had her usual magical breakdown," she said. She went into the room to see her sister, true the doctor's word Diane was crying though she was unconscious. She kissed her sister's forehead and left the room. "And one more thing, don't let your wife come close to my sister!" She sounded a warning, after which She left the palace with her daughter after sounding her warning for the second time to Adrian.

Ashley POV
After what happened at the palace I was quite confused and I felt very weak and when I say weak I mean like a part of me was fading away there was nothing I could do about it. When I got home with mom I noticed a beautiful white cat on our couch. "Mom, you got me a cat?" I was surprised, because I thought she got it for me.
Bringing my mom's attention to the cat, she observed it carefully. "No, I didn't get any cat for you," she said immediately she saw it. "Hey Patty," she called the cat like she knew it well, squatting down in front of it. Where would my mom know a cat from?. "Where's Diane?" The cat suddenly spoke. "Wow she speaks, mom!" I was quite dumbfounded and the cat knew Aunt Diane, it was surprising part. The way the cat spoke with authority made me wonder if it was some sort of spiritual being aunt Diane owed something, Aunt Diane was popularly known for getting into trouble with the elders of the outcast clan because she didn't like how they ruled outcast.
Ignoring me she spoke to the cat, "she isn't here, you checked around right?"
"Hmm, I did check but she told me she was coming here!" The cat exclaimed and I laughed earning me a glare from both the cat and my mom, so it turned out my aunt didn't owe the cat anything, but then why was she her? "Am sorry, it's just that she sounds adorable," which wasn't a lie, she was very adorable with those white fur which seems to be glowing like a broken touch light, I walked to take a seat next to the cat, which made it move a little so I guessed she didn't like people much.
"Don't tell me you got bored with Devan so easily?" My mom seemed to tease the cat.
"Don't flatter your sister, I'm only here cause I suddenly feel so so sick," just then I realised her white fur was fading and I also became weaker I couldn't bring myself to say anything.
Mom took a good look at Patty before proceeding to hold it in her arms, she looked at me before saying to me, "go to bed," immediately she turned her back to me and went to her room with the cat in her arms.
I walked to the room but I stopped by the kitchen door since I realised I was quite hungry since I hadn't had anything to eat, maybe this was the cause of my weakness. I walked up to butler Kim who was still awake. "Butler Kim, is something up?" He understood what I said and passed me a plate of salad. Butler Kim was a follower who served my grandparent then my mom, but the man never seemed to age, that was power he never grew old.
I was tempted to ask about the cat but I ate up my food but my weakness didn't disappear like I thought, so I hurried to my room. As soon as I was done washing up without much hesitation I laid me down to rest since I was extremely tired, I couldn't waste time even thinking about the annoying cat downstairs.

I felt something jump to my bed causing me to open my eyes, behold it was the sickly looking Patty. "You finally decided to wake up?" This cat is sassy.
"Thanks for the compliment my sweet," surprised me. I almost wanted to ask for a compliment. "No need to be surprised, I'm a talking cat and that's not my only ability, I read people's minds." I could feel the happiness in her voice.
Great! I can't even hide my thoughts in front of a cat, wait! How did she even get here!?
"How did you get in here?"
"I teleport." How could a cat possess so much power? What was I saying she's a talking cat for crying out loud, I need to keep reminding myself about that.
"I like you already, at least you are a step up for Calian." She mentioned my uncle's name. She seems to have a problem with him, from the way she said his name it seems they didn't like each other, I didn't give much thought to it.
"So what are you doing in my room?" I gave her the same attitude she gave me.
"Yeah, we are going to school together!" She announced.
I was shocked but I hurriedly recovered, "no pets allowed!" What the hell, sassy Patty wanted to go to school with me, what was she thinking? What am I even saying? Animals do not think.
"No pets! Do I look like a pet to you?" She asked. I guessed I hit her where it hurts the most. "I'm considered your sister by Devan," she cried.
'My sister?' Who is this Devan guy anyways? He needs to get his eyes checked. "Well luckily for both of us we can never be sisters, can you imagine a human and an animal 'sisters'" I walked away from her and got ready to go to school. The little cat didn't back out on her thoughts on going to school with me.
"I promise no one will notice me, I'll be invincible to humans," after much persuasion I gave into her.

THIRD PERSON POV
"Adrian!!!" Gianna walked into the room her sister occupied in the palace only to meet the shock of her life. Adrian laid on the bed beside her sister.
Her voice, her sister and the man, "Gianna, you are here?" Hearing her sister's words she noticed something was off about her sister, but before she could say anything Aunt Simone appeared with other guardians to examine Diane. Gianna and Adrian had to leave the room so the guardians could do their work.
"What did you do to my sister?" Gianna asked immediately as they came out of the room.
"Nothing, she woke up last night and began to act funny. She asked me to lay with her, because she was scared." Adrian explained to he, but Gianna looked at him like he had just made the biggest joke, how could someone who couldn't stand the sight of another person ask the person to lay with her? To her ears it was quite funny.
"She hates you, how could she tell you to stay with her? Don't you find it suspicious?" She also called herself to order with her own words. Though everyone knew just how much Diane hated Adrian and would do anything to get back at him for what happened 13 years back but she wouldn't go to any extent, would she?
