"To summon from darkness, the Sinful Seven."
When Vlad uttered those words, the Origin Force inside his Soul Dimension began diminishing. In the outside world, an eerie and cold aura flooded the surroundings, confusing the angels, the Gifted, and even the abyssal demons.
"Wrath, a tempest fierce, ignites the air."
As soon as Vlad uttered the first of the deadly sins, a strange and dark aura emerged from the earth and sky and began to flood into his body. Nothing could stop it as it phased through the force field as if it were not even in the same plane of existence.
It did not take long for the waves of darkness to envelop Vlad's figure, but his voice remained.
"Envy, a serpent, whispers despair.
Lust, the flame that burns without care.
Gluttony, a chasm, eternally bare.
Greed, the Midas, all it touches, ensnares.
Sloth, the fog, enshrouds in layers.
Pride, a tower, looming, ensnared."
As Vlad named all seven deadly sins, the darkness became extremely thick. Just focusing on it made the people tremble. However, it was not just the Gifted and angels who trembled, but even the abyssal demons!
"Together, they conjure, from human mind, a dare: To wield the dark, yet emerge unimpaired, In this esoteric rite, powerfully declared."
Once Vlad's voice reached this point, the darkness froze for a moment, making everybody stare at it with shock and suspense, waiting for the following words.
"I take the name of Ira, the Wrathful."
The entire world seemed to freeze now, not just the darkness, as the ritual reached its final stage.
"I become Depravita!"
That last word seemed to make heaven and earth tremble as all the darkness siphoned into a single point. The next second faded, having seemingly fused into the body of the young man who now stood flawlessly without a single wound.
Vlad's skin was flawlessly white, but it did not end there. His eyes grew utterly black, like a well of darkness and despair, and part of his jet-black hair now turned white.
The young man clenched his fists, and every muscle seemed to vibrate with power. He calmly walked toward the pile of ash that was once Asmael and took a small ring before placing it in his hand.
"Crack!"
The next second, the barrier covering the Runic Formation shattered as the energy stored in the parchment finally faded. Immediately, several of the angels raised their weapons, yet before they could even fire a shot, Vlad turned to them.
Those black eyes froze their blood and instilled in their hearts a sense of absolute terror that paralyzed them.
Vlad stared at the angels and Gifted for a few seconds before turning around and calmly walking to the edge of the barrier that kept the abyssal demons at bay. He soon reached a tree and knelt as he stared at a small yellow cat.
Vlad did not say a word but soon tears began to fall from his eyes as he stared at Jormungandr's corpse. He took off his jacket and used it to wrap the little yellow cat's body.
The next second, Vlad sent forward a punch with so much strength that it made a hole in the tree, which he used to deposit Jormungandr's body. He remained silent for nearly a minute until the sound of cracking echoed.
The angels and Gifted turned to the side and saw how the abyssal mantis and the horde of abyssal demons' relentless onslaught were starting to crack the golden force field.
"You can fight me, and with your numbers, you can take me down. Of course, I will be able to kill half of you, but in the end, I will die. However, your victory will be short as the horde of abyssal demons will drown you and then eat you."
Vlad's voice drew the angels and Gifted toward him. There was no trust on either side, but the group could not deny the man's words.
"I will fight the Abyssal Mantis, and you will fight the rest of the horde."
Vlad did not wait for an answer, as he was not asking a question. The angels and Gifted had no choice but to follow his lead if they wanted to survive. He then focused on the ring he had taken from Asmael, and the next second, two one-handed swords and a white armor appeared.
Although shocking for the Gifted, it was nothing impressive for Vlad as the ring in his hand was not a common one but a space ring.
Vlad honed the white armor as his eyes turned to the Abyssal Mantis. Slowly, a burning emotion began to arise in his heart, one that grew more and more powerful until what could only be described as indiscriminate wrath appeared in his heart and soul.
"I Am Wrath!"
