Chapter 20 - New Plane's Will

As soon as Vlad finished the incantation, the Origin Force inside his Soul Dimension was consumed, and the dark aura exploded with power, enveloping both the man and the cat. The next moment, it surged into the deepest part of his existence, reaching his soul.

Vlad had prepared himself, yet when the force tore a piece of his soul, he experienced a pain so intense it made him wish for death. It was an agony no human should be able to endure, but he clenched his teeth, focusing on the small yellow cat, refusing to give up and using his willpower to remain conscious.

After the dark force ripped a piece of Vlad's soul, it flowed into the small yellow cat, completely enveloping it.

Vlad couldn't see what was happening as the dark force was too thick, but when the soul-wrenching pain faded, a radiant smile appeared on his face, knowing he had succeeded. The only way the damage to his soul and the pain it caused would fade was if his soul was now bound to someone else and their lives were connected.

The dark force began to disperse, revealing the small yellow cat in his arms, unharmed and with just a small patch of white fur on his head. Jormungandr looked the same as before, but the power running through his body was exceptional.

"Mmm, tuna, give me tuna."

"Hahahahaha. Always thinking about food. You are really fit to become the Depravita of Gluttony!"

Vlad burst into laughter as he heard the small cat murmuring in his sleep about eating tuna. However, along with the laughter, there were tears of immense happiness and relief.

With a smile, a small cat in his left hand, and a sword in his right, Vlad turned toward the exhausted group. Even if they were enraged by his plot against Asmael, Vlad's demonstrated power and abilities were so formidable that they were terrified to make a move.

Vlad continued walking until he stood before a young woman kneeling on the ground due to overwhelming exhaustion.

Jessica looked up at Vlad for a few seconds, her eyes filled with terror. The young man she had mocked and plotted against had become a being of incredible power. Yet, even in her terror, a calculating light appeared in her eyes as she was determined to turn things in her favor.

"I..."

Before she could say more, Vlad swung his sword, separating her head from her body!

Vlad's smile did not fade, and his eyes remained emotionless as he executed the woman, shocking those around him. One thing was killing demons, but killing a member of your own race was something entirely different.

However, for Vlad, whose memories of his second life showed him killing many soldiers in war, this was not significant, especially against someone who had almost caused his demise more than once.

After confirming the woman's death, Vlad began to walk away, not bothering to address the people.

"Wait!"

As Vlad was leaving, one of the angels called out, causing him to turn around. The one who shouted was a beautiful woman with no anger in her eyes, instead a meaningful light that drew Vlad's curiosity.

A sharp light appeared in the young angel's eyes as she addressed Vlad.

"We can help you. You are strong, but you are just one. With us by your side, we can fulfill God's will and fight for the Greater Good."

Those words shocked some angels and enraged others, but most remained silent, watching the woman speak. After the battle, only 13 angels were left, and among them, she was the strongest.

Vlad looked at the woman for a moment before softly nodding.

"You are right. I am just one person, and I need many if I want to prosper and bring back order to this place."

A smile appeared on the angel's face upon hearing this, but what Vlad said next chilled her.

"However, why would I side with Aliens?"

Terror appeared in the angels' eyes as they realized how Vlad referred to them. The Gifted were confused, believing the Aliens were supposed to be the abyssal demons and the angels were warriors of God sent to help them.

Vlad noticed the confusion among the Gifted and the terror in the angels, allowing a small smile to grace his face.

"Listen, fools. The one who opened our Sea of Consciousness and gave us a path to grow stronger is not God but the New Plane's Will, Terra. She is the one who provides Origin Force to us, her children, to kill more Aliens, which are all foreign entities, such as demons, devils, and even angels. And there isn't just one God; there are many, countless, even. The 'Greater Good' was just a way to propagate their fanatic mission and stifle any form of questioning."
