CEDRICS POV
The chamber was grand, its high vaulted ceilings adorned with intricate carvings of ancient battles and celestial creatures, casting an almost ethereal glow over the room. The air was thick with anticipation, buzzing with hushed conversations and soft laughter from the gathered representatives. I stood at the threshold, my heart pounding harder than I would've liked to admit. Ma was beside me, her hand resting gently on my arm, offering the silent reassurance only a mother could give.
"You look handsome, Cedric," she whispered, her eyes filled with pride. Her silver hair was woven into an elegant braid, and she was dressed in a deep blue gown that shimmered under the light of the crystal chandeliers.
"Thanks, Ma," I managed, my throat suddenly dry. " I am just nervous"
She chuckled softly. " Relax my son. But you're more ready than you think. You've faced far greater challenges than this."
