Allen brushed aside his thoughts and turned to Lilian. "I promise to help you reclaim everything your ex-husband took from you. He'll regret what he did and come crawling back to you," he vowed. Although he had caused her to lose so much, he was determined to ensure she regained it all. He wanted her to love him and recognize that he was the one who had been there for her that night.
"Thank you, Allen," Lilian replied gratefully. Aiden mentioned he would keep an eye out for Camille and her daughter, who might come to bother her again at work. Afterward, Lilian went home to see Aurora and prepare dinner. She changed into fresh clothes before heading back to the hospital.
When she returned just after 8 PM, she noticed Cecily, one of the office secretaries, waiting at the reception. Cecily greeted Lilian with a smile and asked what she was doing there. Lilian explained that she was at the hospital because her boyfriend had been in an accident.
