Francis exchanged glances with his wife, who let out a sigh. How was he supposed to convince Allen to let go? Perhaps he was wrong not to have consulted him before making his decision.
Aiden walked in, taking a few items from Lilian's hands, and noticed the gloomy expressions on everyone's faces, especially Allen's, which was marked by fury. Aiden had known Allen his entire life and recognized that this silent, cold demeanor meant he was upset. He could remain like this for hours without speaking to anyone.
After surveying the room again, Aiden turned to Lilian, furrowing his brows at her in question. She simply shrugged and looked away.
"Why is everyone so quiet? Is something wrong?" Aiden asked, glancing at his parents and brother, but none responded.
Allen abruptly stood up and pulled Lilian with him as he headed for the exit, ignoring their parents who had come to take him home.
