Chereads / Controlium [P1] / Chapter 8 - Evil

Chapter 8 - Evil

Once a great war raged between the demons of hell. Two powerful factions emerged, clashing in a ruthless battle for dominance. Chaos spread across the infernal realm, and even the Devil remained silent, watching as destruction consumed everything. The war seemed endless, an unstoppable cycle of rage and vengeance.

But then, a figure emerged. A calm genius.

He did not fight with brute strength but with strategy, gathering seven of the strongest demons under his command. The world would come to know them as the Seven Shadows. Together, they ended the war, bringing peace to hell—or so it seemed.

For in truth, the calm genius had only been preparing for his true goal. To betray the Devil himself.

But even he had underestimated the ruler of hell.

Demon 1: Kill him! Burn him in the lava!

Demon 2: That traitor deserves the worst death possible!

The calm genius was chained to a massive wall, his blood-soaked robe clinging to his wounded body. Deep gashes covered him, fresh rivers of blood flowing from his skin. Yet, even now, he showed no fear.

His face remained calm. His expression unreadable.

His eyes—deep, endless, like an abyss—seemed to hold mysteries beyond understanding. Even as he stood at death's door, he radiated an eerie charm.

Devil: Goodbye, Ala… Your name shall be erased from the annals of hell. No one will remember you. After your death, I will erase every trace of your existence.

His body, drained of blood, turned deathly pale. And yet… he smiled. As if mocking death itself.

The Devil gave the final order. The chains snapped, tearing his body apart, and his remains plunged into the burning lava below.

It was raining in Controlium.

Mars sat atop a lone mountain, staring down at the city below. Even in the late hours of the night, the full moon cast a silver glow over the land, keeping the darkness at bay.

Could they truly save Controlium from Infinity?

At the heart of Gowntown, a grand ceremony was underway. Bright lights illuminated the night, as hundreds gathered around a massive stone memorial. It stood as a silent tribute to the spirits who had been slain by Vanetti.

Mike: How can we die after we've already died?

Misa: When spirits die, they descend to the deepest level of hell. That's Lucifer's domain. Spirits there suffer endless torment and pain. You'd fit in perfectly.

Mike: Right back at you.

Mr. Popo stepped forward, bowing his head toward the stone. Behind him, the gathered spirits knelt in solemn respect.

Person 1: Time flies too quickly.

Person 2: It feels like we held the last ceremony only days ago.

Person 1: I wonder what Mars has planned for Controlium's future.

Mike: How can anyone call Mars the leader of Controlium? He never fights his own battles. Whenever something happens, he sends someone else to handle it. Even for a minor attack, he ran off to hell just to beg the Devil for help.

Misa: He's conserving his energy to face Infinity.

Mike: He's a lazy leader.

Misa: Unlike you, he actually has responsibilities.

Mike: That's why Controlium needed my help.

Misa: Don't flatter yourself. Mars only brought you here because he sensed a different energy in you. You're not important. You're just another soldier.

Mike: Well, well. Soon enough, you'll see.

Misa: See what?

Mike: Let time reveal it.
