Chapter 20 - Alliance

After the defeat of King Leonidas at the hands of the formidable Goddess Gorgon, the valiant warrior Ushiwakamaru, finally gaining consciousness, found herself in a precarious position, having sustained grave injuries during the intense battle with the divine being. Despite her own weakened state, Ushiwakamaru mustered her remaining strength and courage to confront Gorgon with a fierce determination, fueled by her unwavering commitment to protect Fujimaru and Mash from the unrelenting fury of the Goddess. The valiant warrior proudly stated, "We are heroic spirits; before that, we were humans that left a mark on history. Remembrance of our deeds will be our reward for saving humanity; that fact alone gives me the power to fight on. I have no regrets about risking this temporarily life for that," she walked forward. Preparing to make the ultimate sacrifice in a bid to safeguard her comrades, Ushiwakamaru unleashed a devastating attack, her body trembling with the weight of the impending confrontation. With a resolve as strong as tempered steel, she channelled her innermost power into a formidable technique, one that she had honed through countless battles and arduous training sessions. That technique, she named "The Wandering Tales of Shana-oh, Act Four, Dan-No-Ura, Eight Boat Leap," embodied the essence of Ushiwakamaru's unwavering spirit and indomitable will. As she launched herself at Gorgon with fervour bordering on righteous fury, her blade sang through the air—a symphony of steel and determination.

Ushiwakamaru, with determination etched into every fibre of her being, brandished her gleaming sword and launched a fierce assault in the direction of The Goddess Gorgon, her strikes a testament to her unwavering resolve in the face of overwhelming power. The Goddess, an embodiment of ancient might and divine fury, retaliated with a force that shook the very ground beneath her. Fujimaru and Mash, bound by circumstance and unable to directly intervene, stood as silent witnesses to the clash of titans that unfolded before them, their hearts heavy with the weight of their helplessness.

Against a backdrop of swirling chaos and the clashing of steel against scales, Ushiwakamaru found herself immersed in a deadly dance, her blade a blur as she deftly parried and struck against the serpentine onslaught conjured by the goddess. With each swing, the warrior risked life and limb, pushing herself beyond the limits of human endurance in a bid to tip the scales in her favour.

As the confrontation reached its zenith, Ushiwakamaru gathered the last vestiges of her strength and unleashed a devastating flurry of blows aimed squarely at the heart of her foe. The very essence of her being poured forth with each strike, a sacrifice made in the name of victory. However, as the dust settled and the echoes of battle faded, it became all too apparent that the victor stood unscathed, a vision of unyielding power and unbroken resolve.

The Goddess Gorgon, her form untouched by the onslaught unleashed upon her, stood as a testament to her indomitable will and unwavering strength. And as the final echoes of the clash faded into the night, a solemn truth hung heavy in the air—that some battles are not won with sword and shield alone, but with a courage that transcends mere mortal reckoning.

With a sense of surprise and despair overtaking Fujimaru and his companions, causing them to be frozen in shock, they watched as the Goddess Gorgon readied herself to unleash a devastating attack towards them, in a commanding torn declaration, "Now I think it is time I will rippe Uruk apart, and then I will kill King Gilgamesh." She commanded, "Demonic beasts, wait no more; the time is now; unleash your hatred and kill every human that tries to escape." However, before she could strike, Kingu intervened. Speaking to the goddess, "Wait a moment, mother, don't you think that might be short side? Uruk is only one step in our plans; don't lose sight of the bigger picture. The other goddesses are the real issues, not these humans before you. Once Uruk falls at the hand of a goddess, the alliance will dissolve. The second generation of demonic beasts has been reserved for those future battles; one hundred thousand offspring await birth in the blood fold. It is imperative that the three goddesses alliance continues until they are born; beside, we should take our time and enjoy tormenting the humans." In response, the goddess replied, while gazing at her foes, "You should be grateful for the restraint my son showed you today, little humans; however, your fate of destruction still stands. Ten sunrises from this day Uruk will be destroyed. Mark that well." At that moment, The goddess Gorgon chose to retreat, crawling back into the earth.

In the wake of these events, Kingu approached Fujimaru and Merlin the mage, disclosing a startling truth. He revealed that he was one of Tiamat's eleven offspring and expressed his intention to supplant humanity once their time had passed. With these unsettling words echoing in the air, Kingu departed from their midst, leaving behind a sense of foreboding and uncertainty. After the chaotic events unfolded on the battlefield, the soldiers were draped in mourning for the loss of their esteemed general, King Leonidas, and the valiant Ushiwakamaru. Grief hung heavy in the air, enveloping all those who had shared camaraderie and fought alongside them. In the midst of this sombre atmosphere, Fujimaru and Mash found themselves approached by none other than Musashibou Benkei, a solemn figure in the melancholy. With a heavy heart, Benkei conveyed to Fujimaru the weight of failure in protecting Ushiwakamaru, his voice laden with regret and remorse. Determined to seek redemption for his perceived shortcomings, Benkei announced his departure into the untamed wilderness, seeking solace and penance. Consumed by self-blame for the loss of Ushiwakamaru, Benkei bade a poignant farewell to Fujimaru and Mash, then departed.

In the midst of despair, Fujimaru, feeling a sense of responsibility, gathered his courage and decided to offer words of encouragement to the soldiers despite the loss of their generals. Meanwhile, within the ominous realm held under the dominion of the fearsome Goddess Gorgon, Ushiwakamaru, who had been rendered unconscious, slowly stirred back to awareness. Startled by the sight of Kingu, she found herself bound and unable to break free. With an air of ominous certainty, Kingu revealed to her a daunting plan that involved her transformation into one of the offspring of Tiamat. Calm yet filled with dread, Kingu carefully outlined his scheme to Ushiwakamaru as he guided her towards the layer of the formidable Goddess Gorgon. With deliberate intent, Ushiwakamaru was cast into the murky depths of the Chaos Tides, known as the Goddess Mud, where ancient forces of creation and destruction intertwined. This mystical mud possessed an eerie power that twisted brave warriors into the fated offspring of Tiamat, the embodiment of the primordial sea of life and chaos itself. The turbulent energies within the Goddess Mud threatened to envelop Ushiwakamaru, altering her very being in ways she could scarcely fathom. The profound implications of this transformation loomed over her as the darkness of the unknown washed over her senses.

As Fujimaru, Mash, and Merlin the mage ventured towards the grand city of Uruk, the weight of their recent journey pressed heavily upon their hearts. It was a journey fraught with danger, where they witnessed the devastating power of Gorgon and the tragic loss of their comrades. Upon their arrival at the majestic city, they were graciously received by King Gilgamesh, a ruler who was already well-informed about the trials they had faced. With eyes that gleamed with a mix of determination and sorrow, Gilgamesh pledged to avenge the fallen, his words ringing with a promise of justice to be served upon the false Tiamat, Goddess Gorgon. As the king declared their enemies' name, the echoes of his resolute voice resonated within the chamber, establishing a sense of urgency and purpose. With the weight of responsibility heavy upon them, the group listened intently, ready to discuss strategies and countermeasures against the formidable foe that threatened their land. The Professor, Romani Archaman, delved into the mythological background of Gorgon, shedding light on her origins and powers; a sense of foreboding settled upon the gathering. It was then that Merlin, the enigmatic mage, began to recount the ancient tale of the three sisters, a story steeped in tragedy and betrayal. From the curse of Athena to the consuming darkness that transformed Medusa into the fearsome Gorgon, the group learned of the intricate web of fate that bound them all together.

King Gilgamesh, the wise ruler of his land, meticulously crafted a strategic plan to launch a powerful counterattack against the formidable three-Goddess alliance that threatened the peace and stability of their realm. The primary target of this audacious plan was the enigmatic Goddess Ishtar, whose insatiable desire for precious jewels presented a unique opportunity for the cunning King Gilgamesh. With unwavering determination, King Gilgamesh confided in Fujimaru, a valiant warrior, revealing the pivotal role Jewels would play in their scheme to win over the Goddess to their cause. Understanding Ishtar's weakness for jewels, the king outlined how they would utilise these rare treasures to sway her allegiance, knowing that despite her yearning, the goddess was unable to obtain them on her own. Setting their sights on Mount Habi, a sacred location known to house the elusive Goddess Ishtar, Fujimaru, accompanied by Mash and the powerful wizard Merlin, embarked on their perilous journey. Their quest led them to the sacred temple where Ishtar resided, a place of legends and mysteries shrouded in divine power.

However, before they could make their diplomatic overtures, the goddess herself emerged, her presence exuding a mix of awe-inspiring beauty and untamed power. As tensions mounted and the group steeled themselves for the impending confrontation, it became evident that their encounter with the Goddess Ishtar would test their mettle like never before.
