Lisa had spent the rest of the day drowning in a sea of emotions that she couldn't quite fathom.
She felt like there was a knot in her heart and everytime she looked at Richard or he did something nice for her, the knot tightened.
She hadn't particularly felt like socializing anymore so she had told Richard that she was quite tired and wanted to rest for a bit before dinner.
He had told her that it was okay and he would come get her for dinner.
He had returned about an hour later to inform her that dinner was ready but she had pretended to be deep in her slumber so he wouldn't bother trying to wake her up and it had worked.
He had left her to rest after he tried to wake her ceaselessly and it was all to no avail.
There had been no reason to lie really because she had actually fallen asleep not long after he had left.
