As Gravill and his family, including Nicholas, prepared themselves for the challenges awaiting them, they knew it would not be easy. The only way for Gravill to overcome this darkness threatening him was with courage, perseverance, and unwavering determination.
Meanwhile, somewhere in another realm, a man sat on a throne made of skulls, emitting a dreadful feeling. Suddenly, a man appeared out of thin air. It was Cadmus.
"How did it go?" The man on the throne asked.
"He...he escaped," Cadmus replied, shuddering.
"Who?" the man asked, feigning ignorance.
"Gravill, the half-blood," Cadmus answered.
"A mere half-blood escaped from you?"
"My Lord, this half-blood is not like the rest. He is special."
"Oh, really? What makes him special?"
"He is the key to unlocking that prophecy."
"Oh, that didn't come as a surprise. I expected such. But this time, do not let him escape. I want to know whose descendant he is originating from. And don't forget to bring him alive."
"Yes, my Lord."
Gravill was unaware that someone was after his life.
On a Monday morning, Gravill and Nicholas were walking to school together. When they reached the school gate, they saw Kroger, the college bully, with his entourage. But Gravill and Nicholas pretended not to see him.
"Hey, squirt!" Kroger yelled at Gravill, while his friends laughed.
But Gravill and Nicholas ignored him, stunning him.
"Hey, new kid, I am talking to you!" Kroger shouted, but still Gravill and Nicholas ignored him again. This made him angry and furious, and he wanted to show Gravill and Nicholas who the boss was.
As other students gathered to watch, Kroger signaled his entourage to stop Gravill and Nicholas by encircling them. Gravill and Nicholas stood their ground as Kroger and his group surrounded them, taunting and jeering. Gravill could feel the anger rising, but he knew that succumbing to rage would lead to disaster.
Taking a deep breath, he said, "What do you want?"
"Oh, wow, straightforward, that's nice," Kroger said.
"Stop beating around the bush and get straight to the point," Nicholas added, clearly annoyed.
"For ruining my reputation, I want you to kneel down and apologize," Kroger demanded, smiling as his friends laughed.
"Not happening," Gravill said firmly.
"What!?" Kroger exclaimed.
"You heard him, or are you deaf?" Nicholas interjected.
"You piece of shit!" Kroger shouted, throwing a punch at Gravill. Just when everyone thought a fight was about to erupt, a girl emerged from the crowd and caught Kroger's hand.
But what Gravill, Nicholas, and even Kroger didn't realize was that the girl had her own secrets and powers, ones that could change the course of their destinies forever.
