Chapter 71 - Chapter 65 - Killing a Celestial

POV: Baldur.

Space, Unknown Dark Galaxy.

A planet has been used in various ways in this universe. As a mode of payment or even a way to symbolize power, but only the Celestials used them as a weapon. And upon reflection, they are very dangerous weapons, imagine a sphere with more than sextillions of mass coming towards you at insane speed. If a planet were to hit, it would be destroyed immediately, there are few beings that can survive this impact, even in the Marvel universe. I have no way to deflect, so I can only defend or attack, defending is surely a ridiculous idea, so let's go with the second option.

I drop my spear and join my hands at chest height, concentrating without losing sight of the planet that comes towards me. Shortly after, when I separate my hands, I see a small star of blue color. The little blue star was spinning around itself at high speed, so fast that not even my eyes can see it properly. I Created a Magnetar.

A Magnetar is a type of neutron star and is simply the most powerful magnet in the universe, it emits a ridiculous amount of X-rays and gamma rays. It's one of the variations that occur when a star dies. The neutron star I created to destroy the army of ice giants was just a smaller version with very reduced power, this Magnetar is different. This is a real version of one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

The Magnetar goes towards the planet and starts to grow until it reaches the size of Earth's moon. Even at a great distance from the planet, I see it trembling, the whole planet was suffering earthquakes. When the distance decreases, the electric field of the matter of the planet begins to be scrambled, disintegrating the molecular structure of everything. There was no big explosion or wreckage, the whole planet simply disappeared from space.

The celestial recoils seeing the strength of my star that is going towards him. The Celestial opens its arms, and the darkness of space in front of it distorts, the whole space seems to distort. I soon knew what it was: a black hole.

The black hole began to suck up anything in this galaxy, the orphaned planets that have not yet been destroyed during the exchange of blows were sucked and destroyed on account of gravity. Even light cannot escape it, returning the entire galaxy to the pure darkness it was before the fight.

My Magnetar has also been sucked into the black hole and just disappears. I use all my strength not to be dragged into the black hole, even if I manage to keep myself in it, it will be almost impossible to fight next to one with all my power. The only untouched thing in this galaxy that did not suffer or even leave the place was the celestial.

But this blow was a mistake, a black hole is nothing more than one of the variations that occur when a star dies. I can't be strong enough to create one, but that doesn't mean I can't control it.

(I'll need a little time.)

Without another option, I risk everything and make a desperate move. Out of nowhere, the Celestial disappears from space and appears within my golden dimension. It was the first time I dragged a hostile being into my dimension, I also never planned to do this with such a powerful enemy.

"Warning!!! Space change detected. Hostile dimension, destroy!!! destroy!!!"

For the first time, the celestial speaks to me in his robotic voice, but I will not give him time to destroy me from the inside out. With a thought, all the energy around the celestial attacks him, I am controlling this attack using an avatar. Meanwhile, my real self is working on my plan to control the black hole.

The Celestial creates a force field around his body, defending itself from my attack. But this was only the initial attack, gigantic chains appear around him and attack him. The heads of the chains shone with black energy, this allowed them to destroy the celestial force field and curl up on his arms and legs, pulling them away, making the Celestial have its arms and legs extended.

The celestial fires a cosmic beam from his eyes, breaking the first chain as he aims at the next. A massive spear of light hits his chest, and I appear behind him, holding Sigel. I thrust it just below his neck and pull it downward, slicing through his back.

The celestial teleports in front of me and strikes me with a cosmic blast, destroying this avatar. But that's no problem. I can form as many as I want with a single thought. If I weren't concentrating on my real body, I'd create an army of them to attack.

"BEEP! Alert, threat judged stronger than expected, defining threat as omega level. Destroy dimension for victory."

Now I sense that the celestial is taking me too seriously, but luckily I was already prepared. With a thought, we return to the space where we were.

With all my concentration and focus, I shift the position of the black hole. This catches the Celestial off guard because he doesn't react until half of his body is swallowed by the black hole. I see his movements become as slow as a snail, the gravity of the black hole distorts the fabric of space-time. To the Celestial, time is passing differently. If he had all his strength, escaping this trap would be easy, but fortunately, the dark energy of All-Black is doing a great job of weakening him. Still, it won't be long before he escapes.

My body is in a terrible state, I shouldn't have used this much power for so long. I have a few more seconds before my entire body explodes. I have one last chance to end this. I place Sigel in front of me and concentrate all my power into it. Sigel begins to tremble, reaching its limit. I see cracks all over its handle, but luckily, it doesn't break. The blade of Sigel turns completely black due to the energy of All-Black, then a halo of golden light appears around the blade like a small sun that illuminates all the darkness the black hole has sucked in.

I shoot towards the Celestial at full speed, using gravity to my advantage, pulling myself towards him, tripling my speed. I stand in front of the celestial's neck and swing Sigel in a horizontal strike, releasing a wave of golden light resembling a supernova that stretches through space until it is captured by the black hole and disappears. I look at the spot of my attack and see the celestial's neck opening, and shortly after, his head is separated from his body. The celestial is dead.

From his neck, his "blood" is stolen by gravity, his lifeless body begins to sink deeper and deeper into the center of the black hole.

(T/N: Celestials bleed cosmic energy)

(I won't lose my prize so easily.)

I grasp the celestial's body with one hand and fly in the opposite direction of gravity. Entering the black hole was easy, but getting out with a body as immense and heavy as his is proving to be an enormous challenge. Unfortunately, I can't retrieve his head before it's devoured by the black hole. Shortly after, I realize I'm losing this tug-of-war and start thinking of a smarter way to win than using brute force.

My body is in terrible condition, so I can't manipulate it as before. Then an idea comes to mind. I point Sigel towards the black hole and from its tip, I form a small star that shoots into the black hole and explodes. The force of the explosion is the push I need to escape the center of the black hole with my prize. I waste no time and escape at full speed from that giant trap.

Flying through space while dragging a giant corpse is no easy task, especially with my injured body and no time to recover. Luckily, I see an uninhabited planet ahead. It lacks an atmosphere to sustain life, but it's enough to rest for a while.

I spent a few hours on this planet sorting out my thoughts. The injuries to my body were too severe, it felt like a bomb had exploded inside me. I healed enough just to retain the movement of my limbs, but it will take some time before I can fully recover.

Another issue is what to do with the remains of the celestial's body. The All-Black was forged within one of them and became one of the most powerful weapons in the universe. It's not every day someone gets their hands on such valuable material. After some time, I found the answer to what to do with the body, but I'll need the help of the dwarves of Nidavellir. I doubt any of them would refuse to help me. I bet they'll compete to see who will be the dwarf to forge a weapon with a celestial body. It will surely be the most powerful creation since Mjolnir.

To avoid further destruction of the material, I removed the dark energy that was consuming it. The advice from my future self was of great importance. If I hadn't used the dark energy to weaken the celestial, I wouldn't have had a chance to kill him. The most I could have done was stay alive.

(This universe keeps getting bigger.)

The celestials were introduced into the cinematic universe during a flashback in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. In the image, the celestial had to use the Power Stone to destroy a world, but this crazy celestial I encountered could easily destroy a solar system. Besides, the words of my past self about the second Thor movie make me more apprehensive. To tell the truth, I don't even have a plan for these events. The only thing I had to do during all that confusion was save my mother, the rest should resolve itself naturally. But it seems I'll have to change my way of thinking now. I hate making last-minute plans without enough information.

(I only have a few months until Thor arrives on Earth.)

I've been waiting for this moment for a long time, I can finally see my brothers again. Even though Thor is an idiot, it's been so long since I last saw him, and the longing has naturally grown. But I'm ninety percent sure that Thor didn't seek any information about me or even care. So he probably doesn't know about my kingdom on Earth, so things should go just like the movie. Loki, on the other hand, will be a problem. He won't take any action against me now, but I can't say the same during the invasion.

(He's also going to bring me a nice present.)

Loki sent the Destroyer to kill Thor. One of the most powerful weapons of Asgard, even though it seemed weak in the movie, doesn't mean it's the same in this universe. I've already made several plans with Amora to take control of this weapon, so I'll have an almost indestructible super robot bodyguard obeying my orders. Of course, this is after the upgrades I have in mind for it.

It takes a few hours for me to heal enough to move through space. It takes me a while to return to the green planet where the fight began. Luckily, the spaceship remained intact.

"Welcome back, sir," Alice says as I enter the pilot's cabin and finally relax into the chair.

"How did you manage to keep the ship intact, Alice?"

"At the beginning of the fight, the Celestial fired energy blasts in all directions. The ship I brought was in rest mode and shouldn't have had defenses against such attacks."

"My sensors nearly exploded when the Celestial began its attack. I judged it best to hide the spaceship behind the planet for safety."

"You were correct. It would have been quite troublesome to return to Earth without the ship. It would have taken me months. How is Amora?"

"She sent a message while you were away, informing that she returned to Genosha and awaits you."

"Then we can't keep my queen waiting. Full speed ahead, Alice."

"Yes, sir."

The spaceship flies at high speed toward Earth. Soon, I should arrive on Earth and begin preparing for a family reunion.
