Chapter 86 - Contract cancellation

"Ethan's point of view,"

"How dare you touch my wife?" I can't imagine that, Mr. Chang would do something like this to Stella.

I have no idea what terrible things could have transpired if I hadn't made it here at the appropriate time.

I yanked that scumbag off of Stella and dumped him in a far corner of the office.

Stella had tears running down her face, and her shirt was ripped from her arm.

"What are you doing, Mr. Woods? And how did you enter my office without getting permission from me?"

"You have no right to touch my wife in that way." I couldn't help but punch him since I was feeling so furious thinking about his disgusting behavior and seeing his face.

"Your wife is the one who seduced me, Mr. Woods; I had nothing to do with it."

"Stop your nonsense; do you think I'm naive? When I first met you at a charity ball event, I immediately learned about your nefarious intentions. But I had no idea you would go beyond your limits. Even before doing business with you, I dissuaded my wife, but she is obstinate and refuses to listen to any of my instructions." I glared at Stella.

"But how did you get inside my office, Mr. Woods?" He still counts on me to respond to his inquiries.

"When my insane wife entered your office, I followed suit to be right behind her. I learned about your evil plans after noticing your office's deserted floor.

If I hadn't gotten an urgent phone call that prevented me from coming sooner, you would have already gone as cheap as you possibly could." I glared furiously at him once more.

"What are you waiting for right now? Stand up and follow me." At this point, I was becoming extremely irate with Stella. She remained immobile despite my repeated urgings.

"If I saved you from Mr. Chang, did I make a mistake? Perhaps you came here to meet him despite my objections because you wanted him to treat you badly." She had her head down, listening to me in silence.

"What's the matter, Stella? Why are you failing to grasp what I am saying?" I slammed my fist on the office table in an attempt to suppress my rage.

"I can't stand up since I sprained my leg."In a quiet voice, she spoke.

I was getting extremely angry with her when I heard her slow, sorrowful voice, but I'm not sure what emotion in my heart suddenly surfaced for her.

I moved closer to her and used my thumb to dab away some of her tears. She had ripped her shirt, exposing her shoulders. I quickly covered her torso after taking off my coat. She was bleeding due to the nail mark on her neck's hickey. With the help of my arms, I hoisted her onto my lap, and we walked out of her office.

"The contract is ready, Miss Parker. Please sign it before you leave." I have never seen a man with such no morals.

However, Stella has already made me aware of my limitations by slapping me in front of everyone in the elevator.

My heart was hoping that I would kill this man so badly that he could never perform such an act with any girl again. I waited for Stella to respond, but she just buried her head in the crook of my neck without saying anything.

"Mr.chang I believe you have received your answer."

"You can't treat me like this; if you suddenly cancel the contract, you'll have to pay hefty damages." Hearing his threat, I paused once again.

I am aware of Stella's company's current state and Mr. Chang will undoubtedly demand that she pay a sizable quantity of money as compensation.

Because Stella adores her business so much, she won't now reverse the agreement with Mr. Chang.

My inner self was telling me that I ought to intervene and stop her from making such a choice. However, my male ego prevented me from assisting her, and I was also certain that she would never accept my assistance.

I was attempting to read her facial expression by focusing on her face, but I was unable to comprehend what was going through her mind.

"I'll wait for the formal notice of the penalty, Mr. Chang." After hearing her, I was so taken aback that I couldn't even speak. I had no clue Stella would respond with such courage given the circumstances, especially after seeing her in such a pitiful state.

"Stella Parker, you will pay a high price for your hostility." Even Mr. Chang was surprised by Stella's remark.

Hearing Stella's response must have been an enormous hit to his ego.

"Don't worry about it, Mr. Chang; in any case, my wife dislikes inexpensive items. In addition, I am canceling all of the agreements you made with Woods Construction as of today."

"What? You can't treat me like this, Mr. Woods."

"That's exactly what I'll do. Your action will result in a significant loss for my business. Mr. Chang, you should have considered all of this before engaging in inappropriate behavior toward my wife." I took Stella and left his office. She said in a quiet voice,

"Thank you." However, she is still not looking directly at me.

" You ought to thank me, for sure."

I directed her to the car's passenger seat. She did not respond to my words and instead began silently examining the fingers that were resting on her lap. She had never been so silent before. Because of Mr. Chang's action, she is undoubtedly still very shocked.

I'm unable to stand her silence. Inside the car, there is an unsettling stillness between the two of us.

I wish I could ask her directly what is going through her mind right now, but I lack the bravery to do so.

I brought her to the hotel room and made a doctor's appointment so they could examine her. She has a leg fracture, and the doctor has advised her to stay in bed for the next two weeks. The doctor wrapped a bandage around her neck and then walked away.

I had to inform Steve and Avery about what happened in Mr. Chang's office so they could move through with the contract cancellation procedure.

Stella had fallen asleep by the time I entered the room again. She had slept out, perhaps as a result of the medication.

However, I was taken aback when I noticed stock market headlines on TV. The abrupt cancellation of the contract has completely shaken the stock market. Stella must decide what to do now that Parker Industry's stock has dropped significantly. I turned off the TV and walked over to sit down next to Stella.
