Chapter 38 - Am I a monkey

"Ethan's point of view,"

"Where are we now? Will you still tell me anything?" As soon as we stepped off the plane, she posed a question to me.

"How many times have I previously stated that I do not know this?"I answered in a grating manner.

"So, should we continue to wander around this island by ourselves?" She also responded to me sternly, similar to mine.

"I do not know!" I replied with a shoulder shrug.

"What do you mean you don't know? Why don't you just call your grandma and find out where she buried the treasure for us on this isolated island?" She is so furious that the tip of her nose has once again turned fully red.

"Mrs. Woods, you've just given me a wonderful idea that I never would have thought of on my own." I was getting annoyed by her statements at this point. After all, what does she think I am enjoying the hot walk on this desolate island while listening to her absurd drivel and taunting?

"You don't have to continually show your stupidity. I am aware of your lack of intellect." She made fun of me once more.

"Thank you for your kind words, Mrs. Woods, but I could contact my grandmother if my phone had a network," I told her I'd show her the screen of my phone right in front of her.

"What should we do next, then?" She muttered while pouting.

"I believe we ought to return to the plane and take a seat. Or should we rely on the flight pilot for information?" I gave her the go-ahead to return to the area where the plane would land.

"No, I'm too exhausted to continue." She remarked while stamping her feet on the floor.

"Oh my God, you act out like a typical female and have tantrums?" The sweltering midday sun was driving me crazy, and now even this obstinate girl was making a fuss.

"Okay, then we relax for a while by sitting under a tree," I stated while inhaling deeply.

"I'm hungry." She spoke while paying attention to the sound coming from her stomach.

"Is your nutritious meal being absorbed so quickly?" I attempted to stop my laughter, but I could not do so after observing her starving condition.

After all, what prompted her to start a diet so suddenly? Was she upset about my comment and only eating a green salad?

No, she does not think highly enough of me to listen to what I have to say. What other justification could there possibly be for her to embark on such a rapid diet? My subconscious was working to support my assertions.

However, she is acting wrongly if she is furious with me and refuses to eat despite being hungry. I was only making fun of her by calling her overweight. She is quite light.

It drew my attention to her neck when she dozed off while seated on the plane. She was sleeping with her neck bent, which would eventually result in excruciating neck discomfort. As a result, I carried her in my arms and placed her on the flight bed.

Because of her wedding gown, she could not sleep well even after reclining on the bed, so I requested that the flight attendant change her clothes. It surprised me that the flight attendant didn't inquire about her clothing because I didn't know where she had T-shirts and shorts in her size. It must all be part of my grandmother's plan.

While she was sleeping, I noticed a distinct innocence on her face.

Who could tell from looking at such a pretty girl that she is the same one who gave me so much trouble to get a small plot of land? I'm not sure what drew me to her face right now, but I couldn't stop staring at it.

What would I do if she opened her eyes and saw how I was staring at her? I shouldn't be looking so intently at her. I opened my laptop as a backup so I wouldn't have to address her hard questions. As soon as she opened her eyes, I focused on the laptop screen.

I used my name to make fun of her when she questioned me about who changed her clothes. Her nose tip turning red with rage is quite amusing to me.

There is no end to how irritated she becomes whenever I call her Mrs. Woods. I'll keep calling her Mrs. Woods, which will irritate her. After all, she has bothered me a great deal as well.

"Do you think we should continue to sit here under the tree all day? I'm exhausted and can't take any more time to relax." When I heard her voice, I awoke from my reverie.

"What have you said? Even when you're resting, do you feel exhausted?"

After listening to her, I gave her a startled expression.

Do I recognize this Stella Parker?

No, she is not that person. Because Miss Parker constantly boils over with rudeness and resentment. This Stella is adorable and hilarious.

Did I just call this obstinate girl cute? Yes, Mr. Woods, you have fully acknowledged that you have grown to like her. My mighty subconscious bothered me once more.

Please put an end to your shenanigans. You'd better stop berating me with such foolishness. My subconscious was silenced, per my orders.

"We can not remain seated here with our hands folded, Mr. Woods. Quickly get up; we need to return to the plane." She spoke with a lot of enthusiasm.

Does this girl experience mood swings frequently? I questioned my subconscious. No, she is a normal person; your mood swings are the problem, not hers. Oh my God, how could I have erred so gravely? How can my subconscious allow me to say anything bad about Stella Parker? I took several long breaths to soothe the annoyance I was feeling.

Nobody could guess that this girl was experiencing leg pain just a short while ago based on the enthusiasm with which she was returning to the plane's direction landing.

"Oh, no! What do we do now, Mr. Woods?" Suddenly, she turned to face me.

"What happened, Mrs. Woods, and why are you so depressed?" I listened to her and asked questions.

"The jet that brought us here has vanished from this area."

"No, it's impossible. If you look carefully, you will find the plane." After hearing her, I was equally anxious.

"Do you want to make fun of me this time, Mr. Woods? I'm not talking to you about a kid's toy plane; I'm talking to you about the disappearance of the actual plane." She obnoxiously responded to me.

To be honest, you occasionally do pretty stupid things. My powerful subconscious again backed Stella's perspective.

"This implies that we are now stuck on the island and have no choice except to survive."She said it in a serious tone.

"Yes, it will be dark. We'll soon need to find a secure location where we can spend the night."I accepted her reasoning.

"Okay, Mr. Woods, we shouldn't waste any more time by staying here."As she took a few steps in the opposite direction, she spoke.

"Mr. Woods, I have an idea." She walked for a while in silence before shouting out of the blue.

"What?" I asked in a perplexed tone.

"Do you have any experience climbing trees?" She glanced at me with a hopeful expression on her face.

"No, why would she joke with me even in such a severe situation? "

"Are you thinking of me as a monkey?"

"Yes, I think of you as a wild animal disguising itself as a person, but I don't have time right now to give you any compliments."She instantly began looking around the neighboring bushes for something.

"What are you attempting to do right now?" I was a little taken aback by her activities.

"Keep quiet for a little while, Mr. Woods, and follow my instructions." She spoke to me authoritatively. I felt compelled to obey her instructions because of the authority in her voice. After all, there are so many forms of Stella Parker that I can see her in a new style in every situation.
