"Stella's point of view,"
"Wow, Stella, you dealt with Jordan courageously. I certainly did not expect you to respond to him in such a severe manner." It filled my ears with the exhilarating sound of Avery's voice.
"Hmm, shall we go home now?" I inquired quietly.
"What happened to you? Why are you suddenly so upset?" She asked in a worried tone.
"Ethan Woods.
Who else is there other than him? That will disrupt my mood." I shouted, tightening my fist in rage.
"What did he do now?" She looked at me in disbelief.
"I don't know what the big deal is, but he called and threatened to buy that land from me at any price." I stated this while inhaling deeply.
"The land may just be an excuse; may be he is interested in you." She resumed making fun of me.
"Avery, I ask you: stop making fun of me by using his name." I replied as I exited the party hall and made my way to the parking lot.
"I'll take a cab back to the house if you insist on driving." As I moved to open the driver's side door, she questioned me in a frightened tone.
"Just be quiet and stay seated in the car. I'll drive slowly on the road, I swear." I responded as I buckled my seatbelt.
"Will you drive by yourself at that hour of the night, Stella?" I turned around after hearing David's annoying voice.
"Yes. Do you have any issues with the way I drive my car?" I still don't understand why he keeps coming up with reasons to talk to me repeatedly when I have absolutely no interest in talking to him.
"No, I don't have an issue with your driving, but if you drive alone at night in such an expensive car, you risk endangering your life." He gave my Porsche a beguiling glance, but when he caressed my hand by holding it in his, my fury once more lost its ferocity.
Oh, I see. He's acting as though he cares about me because he wants to drive my car. Should I continue to be polite to this man? If he simply drooled over my car, I could overlook him, but he drools over both my car and me; therefore, teach him a lesson right now. I felt compelled by my mind to punch David until his face swelled.
Once I swiveled my head and looked around, I saw that Lilly Aunty was nowhere in sight.
Perfect.
I can now better explain to him what his limits are.
"David, I appreciate you caring so much about me, but I can manage things on my own." After releasing my wrist from his hold, I sat down in my car.
"However, how long will you continue handling everything on your own? At some point, you will also need support, and I will provide it." He muttered as his filthy hands caressed my waist.
Enough is enough now; I can not endure his crap anymore. I jumped out of my car and deliberately stepped on his foot with my stiletto heels.
"Ouch... That hurts. Stella, what are you doing?" He screamed in anguish.
"What happened, David?
You were saying something, weren't you? Can you repeat what you said because I couldn't hear you?" I said this while leaning heavily on my high heels.
"I'm sorry, I was mistaken; you don't seem to need anyone; you can do everything on your own." He tried to get his foot out from beneath my heel, but despite his best efforts, he could not move his foot at all.
"If you ever feel the urge to touch me without asking first, think about what my pencil heel can do to you." I yelled at him.
"Stella, I apologize, but keep this information from my mother." He responded in a terrified tone.
Oh, Mama's boy.
"Not at all, and I hope you won't tell your darling mother anything about our romantic meeting." I responded, releasing his foot from the agony of my pencil-high heels.
I was glad to see the terror in his eyes as he said, "Bye, Stella."
After all, he had to pay the price for what he did.
"Please, do not show wrath of David on this poor steering wheel." As soon as I started the car's engine, Avery gave me instructions.
"I'll drive cautiously now because I understand you don't want to leave this planet without losing your virginity."
"Stella, if you don't stop mocking me, I'll start teasing you in Mr. Woods's name." She yelled at me.
"Okay, my dear P.A., don't get upset; I won't talk about your virginity anymore." I said while holding back my giggle.
"Stella, David had said nothing improper; after all, you'll manage everything by yourself. I also believe that you should now get married and have a family."
"What did you say, "marriage"?"
The solemn expression on her face made it very clear that she was not joking.
"I don't think I need anyone else to look after my things, Avery. I don't want to share my life with anyone, and even in my worst nightmares, I don't want to consider getting married."
"I believe the time has come for you to let love into your heart after keeping it shut for so long." She gave me that pitying gaze once more.
Why does she keep casting pitying glances at me?
"Please don't keep glaring at me like that, Avery. I don't need anyone's company, especially not a life partner, because I am content with my life as it is." I responded while pulling the car over in front of the mansion.
"Stella, whatever you run from will catch up with you the further you go." As she stepped out of the automobile, she made the statement.
"What do you mean?" I stared at her in disbelief.
"Who knows, maybe today after hearing the name of the wedding you're telling me about in such a long speech, you'll decide to be married yourself soon." She sighed and shrugged her shoulders.
"Me and Marriage,There is absolutely no chance." I replied as I went into the hallway.
"I don't have the nerve to dispute with you any longer, so I'll just wish you a good night." After yawning, she entered her room.
She has lost her mind if she believes I will soon decide to be married myself. Doesn't she realize that to get married, a guy is also required, and I do not currently have such a man in my life? Looks like the person with whom I envision getting married.
Oh my Jesus, why am I even considering this? Why am I taking her remarks so seriously when I've already decided that I do not want to be married? I'm sure that one day, these stupid things will drive me completely insane.
To stop thinking about Avery's remarks, I pressed my face firmly against the pillow.
My eyes awoke unexpectedly in the middle of the night because of the sound of my phone's notifications and its constant buzzing.
"What? but when? How?" I was extremely stunned to hear the news from the other side as soon as I received the call. I reached for my second mobile and instantly dialed Ethan Woods' number.
"Miss Parker, do you miss me?"
