Vergil POV

It was the next day currently I had just finished my morning sparring with May, today she seemed quite gentle, she beat me less than usual which was odd, but whom am I to complain

I was taking a bath and getting ready to change, so that I could make my way to breakfast by the time I was ready May was already here

"Young master, have you changed?" May as considerate as always

"Yeah let's go" I said as I combed my hair 

Along the way I asked May about the Princess 

"Young master, your mother is currently taking care if her, as for the Lord he was busy all night taking care of the aftermath about situation" May informed me

"What about the people from yesterday" I inquired

"They were quite tired from all the ordeal so they are still resting, as for the girls they are still unconscious, according to Madam it will take some more time for them to be awake" May reported the situation 

"Yeah…. Unfortunately this is all I can do now" I said 

"Young master you have done plenty, if it was anyone else they will probably send them away with some monetary compensation" May explained as she was a little excited

"I know May, it's just…. Anyways I am glad they can rest comfortably" I just changed the topic, I am just uncomfortable but it will soon be fine I have already determined my goal so just need to go towards it 

"Yes young master" May did not force it

Soon I reached the dinning hall mother along with princess Sunniva were already seated

" Good Morning mother, Princess Sunniva" I greeted them also since I knew the identity of Sunniva I can not possibly treat her the same way as before

"Good Morning dear" mother as always smiling and gentle 

Sunniva looked at me and nodded 

I don't know why she was a little angry or maybe it's my imagination 

I went and sat with the princess as May pulled the chair for me

The maids brought the food

"Won't father be joining us" I asked mother

"Your father is not home, he went to report the situation to Capital" mother informed me

It seems my guess was right the situation has become a little more serious than just slave trading

"When will he be coming back?" 

"It would take a few days at least, may be more" mother was not sure 

I looked at the elf princess with me 

"How are you feeling, your highness" I asked Sunniva about her situation 

"Name" she said 

"Yes?"

"Call me by name" she said a little forcefully 

"Miss Sunniva….. Sunniva " I wanted to be a little formal but she just pouted, which was extremely cute to me

" Yes Sunniva how are you feeling, if you need anything don't hesitate to ask" I said dropping the formalities 

"I am feeling fine, it's my first time seeing such house" she said as she gracefully ate her breakfast

"Different, where do you live" I asked curiously 

"Our houses are built a little differently, it's more simplistic and refined unlink yours which shows grandiose and large" She explained

"Is it well different cultures have different norms" I said as I shared my thoughts

"Hehe… it's quite interesting" as Sunniva giggled 

"My my Vergil even I was not able to talk this much with her, yet you looking quite natural" Mother seeing us interact smiled as she teased me

"Come on Mother" I said as I rolled my eyes

"Vergil why dont show the princess our home, if you want to take her out bring May and the knights, your father has already arranged for special measures" mother said 

"Okay " I agreed

Than we ate the breakfast after tea I took Sunniva around the house showing her the library, my notes, the training of the knights, now we were in the garden as she was swinging on the swing 

"Sunniva, how do the plants grow around you?" I am very curious even back then in the cage the plants were growing around her prison af if to protect her and same is now wherever she goes the plants bloom and the flowers flutter 

"Elves have the blessing of the world tree so they are especially close to nature so life grows around us in plants" she explained it to me as simple as possible

"I see, then the magic of elves also revolves around the world tree" I inferred, the odd thing about her magic circle was interconnecting sigils and runes like a branches from a tree -the world tree

"Ah, wonderful Vergil you can see such difference" Sunniva exclaimed not expecting me to see the difference

"I myself am a Tier 3 magician so I can infer something" I chuckled at her cute reaction

Then I extending my hand and pointed it to the ground

Cast spell: Blooming Earth I intoned

Suddenly from the grass around us multiple flowers began growing and bloomed, they released there stamens in the air as it formed a whirl around us, a beautiful sight making Sunniva mesmerize

"Beautiful… How did you do that" she asked curiously, it was first time I saw such emotion in her eyes 

I smiled now she looked someone her age before she always gave the illusion of someone distant and aloof

"Its actually quite simple using earth spells to grow small saplings then using transmutation I am able to accelerate the growth of these saplings, a slight transformation at the end and we have this- Blooming Earth" I simply explain the process

"Transmutation? Are you an alchemist" she asked curiously 

"Well I am a beginner at the moment" I said modestly

"Can you teach me this spell" She looked at me with those curious eyes

'Uhh.. how can I refuse such a face' I mentally screamed blinded by her look

"Ahem.. sure why not" then I guided her as she slowly learned the spell

But I was surprised after a little explanation she almost understood the spell, her affinity towards earth and life was far superior to mine and while I used transmutation she simply used her affinity making it more feasible and efficient

She than cast the spell in her unique voice, the entire garden was full of blooming flowers as her spell had a much wider range than mine

She looked very happy as she watched the flowers bloom and laughed while she swung, making a beautiful picture

"Thank you Vergil it's a wonderful spell" she smiled beautifully

At that moment I truly wished I had something to record as her smile was so beautiful 

"Your Welcome, I am happy you can use my spell even better than me" At that moment I felt really relaxed, I looked at the stunning view feeling happy and relieved for some reason

Now I was thinking of studying some alchemy also I needed to research the petroglyph

Suddenly something dawned on me

"Sunniva can you help me with something" I asked her

"Sure Vergil" she instantly replied

I took out the seven color begonia earlier I looked through one of the alchemy books in which they also mentioned in details of this particular plant one peculiar thing was this plant was not fully grown a fully mature begonia herb is nine colored that one is truly priceless, In that book it was mentioned that the condition for maturing a begonia are very harsh, but since Elves are close to nature maybe they have a way to do it I speculated

Sunniva also looked at the herb, the herb also reacted to her, it seemed it wanted to go to her

"A beautiful begonia… you want my help in growing this little boy" she guessed my intentions 

"Yes I got it from an auction yesterday, I was thinking about helping it grow but I don't know the right conditions I was thinking you can help me with this" I explained my intentions

"Vergil you should handle herbs with care I can feel he is annoyed with you" she reprimanded me softly

"Sunniva can you understand them" I was surprised seeing her communicate with the plant 

She shook her head "I can feel their intentions, plants also have life they just live in a different way than us" she said 

"Ah.. My bad, sorry little guy I don't have proper experience dealing with herbs" I said apologetically as I gently rubbed his petals

The herb began shaking his petals 

"What does it say now?" I asked curiously

"He says to take better care of him and don't send him to that dark place" She said 

A dark place, my space pocket I guess

"Sunniva can you help me plant this " I asked the only person whom I think knows about herbs the best

"Well lets see first we need a good quality pot, then some nutritious soil, then…." she gave me a list of items to efficiently grow herbs

Thankfully I asked May and we seem to have most of these items

We got the pot from the storehouse, and then according to the process she told me I was able to form a good quality soil for herbs growth, it took some effort but we finally finished re-planting the herb 

"Ah he feels much happier now" Sunniva said as she played with the herb currently we were sitting on the soft grass near a big tree

Then she did something amazing her mana surged as she slowly sang another song

As she sang the herb began to glow slowly another color appeared making it eight colored but than before it grow another color it closed into a small bud, 

"What happened" I asked after observing the situation

"Don't worry, it will take some time as he completes evolution" she was really tired an impressive amount of mana was used by her she is probably a high level mage, but than begs the question how was she captured

She was about to fall from dizziness but I caught her

"Are you Okay?" I asked assessing her situation she was both mentally and physically exhausted her mana running very low

"I am sorry, if it weren't for my request.." I was apologizing but she cut me off

"No need it was my own choice, you have given me such a wonderful spell and I am returning the gift" she said softly as she leaned on me

"Well.. thank you" she really gave me such a precious gift

She just leaned on me but soon I can hear her steady breathing, she is really tired

Although its just a guess but I think its her special ability, a talent, It increases the growth of plants also that explains the huge vitality that affects the plants and trees

'If that's the case she would be very important for the Elven family, she must have been sheltered her entire life... and I believe her own people may be involved in her abduction as well, but this is just my guess' I thought 

Time slowly passed, I leaned against the tree feeling the cool breeze I also felt my eyelids heavy

'Maybe I should …. Take a nap..'
