Rustling sounds filled the air as calm winds washed the forest. The scene had changed yet again. We were no longer on Earth, or at least modern day Earth. The air was extremely fresh , smoke no longer filled the air, and the sounds of destruction had faded.
"Catch him!!" The peace didn't last though as soon loud shouting sounds rang out. Then a man in leather clothing dashed deeper into the forest. The man was wearing a hood so it wasn't easy to identify who he was. "Catch that Thief!!" said another voice and soon men on horses could be seen running after the hooded figure. The horses were at their best, but strangely they still failed to catch the hooded figure, even though he was on foot! The hooded figure zigzagged through the forest, dodging large pine trees and making it harder for the horses to catch up to him. If you looked closely at the hooded figure, it was possible to notice the black bow in his hands and the quiver full of arrows. The masked man was probably an archer.
The chase went on for another minute before the hooded archer turned around. He was now running backward but he was still nearly as fast! It was like he had eyes behind his head as he continued to dodge trees and every thing in between. The hooded archer swiftly took out an arrow and pulled back his bow. The hooded figure took no time to aim though because with a 'Woosh', the wooden arrow was released! 'Neighhh' the scream of a horse rang out as the man sitting on it was shot back! With a soft boom his body hit a tree and just stayed there. If one looked closely, they would seen an arrow lodged in his neck and pinning him to the tree.
"Jacob, noo!" The leading figure screamed before looking forward and shouting "Bastard!" The archer paid no attention to the man though as he fired 2 more arrows in quick succession. Scenes similar to the first played out as the 6 man group had been cut in half!
"HALT!!" the leading horse man shouted. He was in leather armor as well and wore a black hat. He was fair skinned and had a large scar that cut across his face. When the scarred man Yelled, the two trailing horse men behind him slowed down and soon came to a halt. The scarred horse man gritted his teeth. Hesitation was clearly written all over his face. He wanted to keep up the chase, but...
"Robin! you bastard! One day ill catch you! and il- keuk" The man was cut short, his eyes widened as he touched his neck... Soon the light of life had faded from his eyes and he fell down from his horse. An arrow could be seen sticking out of his neck. The horsemen behind the man retreated slightly... damn.
The hooded figure chuckled as he turned around and ran even faster! Soon, he started jumping from tree to tree. He moved so swiftly that it looked like he didn't even have to think!
The archer's run continued for about a minute till the forest trees began to get sparser. The forest was slowly being replaced by rocky ground. The archer stopped briefly on a large tree before looking around. The forest was almost completely behind him now. In front of him was a cliff and if one looked down, more tress could be seen . The archer squatted down briefly before taking a mighty jump. He crossed nearly half of the distance to the edge of the cliff, but as his feet were about too hit the ground, a soft 'boom' rang out as a rainbow-like pillar of light consumed him and he vanished! In the spot where he was supposed to land, a strange symbol had burned itself into the ground . The symbol contained 3 oval like shapes that intersected and looked like a flower…
'Boom' a muffled boom rang out as the hooded man was dumped out of the sky by the rainbow pillar. He appeared a few feet above the ground and landed lightly with a soft 'thud'. He landed on a golden walkway and his muscles stiffened. From his reaction, it was clear that he did not know where he was. What he did know ,however, was that this was definitely not the forest.
"Is this 'it'?" a dignified voice asked with a slightly curious tone. "Yes all-Father." another -slightly less- dignified voice replied.
Immediately The hooded man heard the voices, he tried to lift his head up but couldn't. He was stuck in his landing position and could not move an inch. "How long has 'it' been on Midgard?" The first voice asked.
"Hmm, I noticed 'it' about a 100 years after we arrived here." The second voice replied. The hooded man's body tensed further.
"Ha Ha Ha, Hymdal, is this the immortal man?" A cheerful young voice rang out interrupting the dignified conversation. A new person had entered the conversation and he was talking about some 'immortal man'.
The pressure on the hooded man`s body suddenly vanished and he quickly stood up while arming his bow. He didn't fire though. Instead, he took a good look around the room and his black pupils constricted.
He was in a room made almost completely of gold. The ceiling was extremely tall and filled with golden decor. All that was cool though, what was not ,however, was the fact that two men in black armor had spears inches away from his neck!
He didn't even know when they got there...
"Yes." The second voice -probably named Hymdal -said, replying to the cheerful inquiry. Hearing the voice again, The hooded man immediately tracked it's source and was greeted by deep colorful eyes. The color in the eyes seemed to be swirling around. The man's eyes had no white in them and no pupils. Just deep swirling colorful lights. The eyes seemed to see everything... The person the eyes belonged too seemed vastly simple in comparison. It was a dark skinned middle age looking man. He wore silver regal armor and stood with his hands holding a silver helmet.
"What is your name?" The first voice asked.
The question was clearly addressed towards the hooded figure and it seemed like he knew this because he replied "...Robin."
A light chuckle rang out. The hooded figure traced its origin and he met the eyes ,Or should I say the eye of an aged light skinned man. The man had only one eye. That eye had a brown iris. The man's other eye socket was completely empty and was just black. He sat on a golden throne and wore regal white robes . The robes complemented his gray beard. Next to him stood a spear, it was gold in color with black outlines "...a lie?" He asked as his empty eye socket radiated a dangerous golden light.
The hooded man's body visibly flinched, but before he could react, the youthful voice from before screamed "Father, it is time!" Then the owner of the voice finally came into the hooded man's view.
It was a light skinned man in his twenties, he wore leather trousers and was shirtless . What was strange though was that he looked familiar... very.
The young man had red hair and fiery red eyes... That face, we've all seen it before. It was the red haired man from the painting in Cain's room , the same guy who fought the giant Serpent!
That would mean, this guy was the Norse god Thor! And the one eyed man was Odin! Most importantly though, it meant that the hooded man was probably Cain!
The aged man's attention was drawn to the voice. His head moved and he stared deeply at the young Thor. "Hmm, give me a minute." He said as his gaze shifted back towards the hooded man. Then he stood up and with light steps, approached him. Seeing the all father was approaching the hooded man, the guards holding spears to his neck withdrew. When Odin got to the hooded man, the all-father circled him and stopped behind the hooded man's back. His empty eye socket lit up and a curious expression adorned his face as he said "A curse from 'HIM' ?"
"Divine...?" was what the hooded man replied with as he slowly took off his hood and the leather cloth covering the lower part of his face. His eyes met the red haired Thor in front of him and it was indeed Cain! Just without the beard...
"Yes, AESIR..." Thor replied.
