BOOM!!!
A large beam hit the center of the forest circle. What followed was a gigantic explosion that cleared the entire area and ended at the flame circle.
Adam and Kage had no problem shielding themselves with essence. Nathaniel managed to get to the girl and created his own essence shield. The boy formed a blood drill construct around him and sunk into the ground. Alsvid knew he wouldn't survive with just his shield so he did a counterplay. He fired an essence burst at the right time which disrupted the essence of the explosion to create a small pocket within the destruction in which the explosion itself couldn't get to him, then his automatic shield protected him from the heat of the explosion.
The whole area got cleared of all vegetation, blood and residual smoke. Nobody was injured any further but now the rider had an easier time seeing them. He then jumped off his dragon's back and landed directly in the middle of the ring of fire. He landed with grace and elegance. Clad in a prestine golden dragon armor and having nothing but his fists for weapons, the rider sized his prey.
"Let's see how powerful I've become." He said.
His first target was Adam as he closed the large distance in seconds. Draconivis was fast and managed to get between the two of them taking a fist to its chest as its arms were a second too late to block the punch. The rider then flipped over the summon, stretching his leg and managed to slam Adam's head into the ground. Draconivis grabbed the back of the rider's chest plate and threw him away.
Boom!!!
An explosion occurred at the rider's last location. Adam's shield activated in time to protect him and the force of the explosion threw draconivis a distance away from Adam. Suddenly, the rider was above. Adam rolled out of the way as the rider's leg hit the ground and caused a few cracks.
At this point the others had gotten to the location. The boy had popped up on another part of the battlefield after the explosion and had made his way to the rider. Nathaniel had also ran to Adam so that he could give the girl to him who could guarantee her safety. Kage had started moving to Adam after the rider landed and Alsvid had followed.
Adam, using the strength in his arms, pushed himself into the sky right as the rider dashed in the stump him. Draconivis then popped back in with a heavy strike to the rider's head but the rider was able to protect his head with his arms as the punch sent him flying a distance. Draconivis caught Adam and helped him stand. Then the rider appeared with a split kick that separated Adam from his summon and went for Adam. He made it before Adam hit the ground and threw a left hook at Adam's head. Adam's shield activated but he was slammed into the ground and the force bounced him back up as the rider kicked his chest. The rider tried to go after him but then he suddenly couldn't move his legs. He looked down and saw a shadow being holding his leg. The rider lost his focus for just a second and Draconivis appeared by his side. Draconivis spun around twice to build power and kicked the rider in the chest.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Three explosions sounded. One hit draconivis and the other two stopped kage from following the rider. This was when the dragon started charging up.
"Ok, now am mad." The rider said.
After charging up for a while the dragon lifted its head as it started raining giant fireballs. Each fireball as soon as they came in contact with anything solid caused a giant explosion.
Booooom!!!
The multiple overlapping explosions thundered down. No apparition user on the battlefield was prepared for the airstrike. They were all too focused on the rider and couldn't react before the explosions started.
A large cloud of dust and smoke covered the entire battlefield as the rider used his opportunity to go hunting. Their shields were destroyed. Everyone was injured, no one was spared. The girl woke up at the worst possible time and was subjected to the temperary hell.
The rider was fast. Taking advantage of this moment of weakness he went for the most troublesome person there. He appeared near Adam in seconds and was about to end him when he was reminded of something. Adam is never alone. A random jellyfish appeared out of nowhere and wrapped around the rider, stopping him in his tracks. A large black beam appeared out of nowhere and hit him directly in the chest with a deadly stream of power that didn't seem to stop anytime soon. The force of the beam cleared enough of the smokescreen to so a black twin tailed tiger being the source of the beam. For some reason, Adam was no longer in view.
Having had enough of the rider's nonsense, kage decided to deal with the dragon.
"Come forth. Shrill spore!" He called out.
His shadow formed into a small seed and entered the soil. A second later, it bloomed into the terrifying creature that was shrill spore. It wrapped its thorned roots around the dragon tightly. The dragon opened its mouth ready to fire of a blast.
"Oh no you don't." Kage said as a gigantic fly trap slammed shut around the dragon's mouth causing it to close and the essence to dispers. Then, a symphony of shadow buds appeared and fired of essence streams with great precious around the dragon's neck. Cutting it off and ending the dragon.
Adam had been carried to Nathaniel's side by Draconivis. He placed him down beside a heavily injured Nathaniel as he just nodded at the summon. Draconivis then got up and dashed to the rider.
"It's amazing how hard you people try to delay the inevitable. No matter, your destruction is still coming. I'll slaughter every one of you." The rider said.
