The dragon rider made his move. He twisted his body in a way that dragged Jellon into Noir's beam causing its grip on him to lossen. He then slipped out of its grip but before he did anything else Draconivis appeared.
"Explosive strikes." Adam lifted his head and yelled.
Draconivis started throwing out a furry of fists at the rider and each time they came in contact an explosion occurred. After multiple explosions the rider caught both arms of Draconivis and smiled. However before he could do anything, a giant shadow arm swept by and slapped both of them, separating them and sending them flying.
The rider flipped over mid air and attempted a stable landing when orochi swooped in out of nowhere for the kill. Before he could land the rider was already in the snake's mouth as it slammed shut.
BOOM!!!
A massive explosion sounded in the snake's mouth and instant after as it opened slightly allowing him to wedge himself between the teeth and hold it open. Once in this position he realized that he was losing essence fast. Too fast for him to even gather. So he decided to just release a skill with no control over the essence. He started glowing a bright gold. Most of the gold flew into Orochi's mouth but was replaced very soon after.
BOOM!!!
A massive explosion occurred followed by a chain reaction that went deep into the snake's stomach. Using his chance, the rider jumped out of its mouth but then Orochi doubled down and attacked with more ferocity. The rider ended up in the same situation as before but this time, he was prepared.
Boom!!!
A large golden beam fell from the clouds right onto Orochi's head and didn't stop even after the rider escaped.
"You didn't think I had only one dragon did you." The rider said.
From the clouds, five enormous golden dragons descended all combining their power to form the giant golden beam. Soon the beam stopped but something unbelievable was left behind. Orochi's corpse.
Adam flew into a rage but there was nothing he could do about it. The dragons descended a little bit more and their size and numbers cast a large shadow over the battlefield.
"Thanks for all this shadow." Kage said as the combined shadow of the dragons took shape. It was fast, faster than the dragons could react. It grabbed a dragon by the neck and slammed it into the ground, dragging it underground soon after. Then a large black beam emerged from the ground and decapitated another dragon.
All the converged shadow gathered behind Kage to form his very own giant black dragon. It looked ancient and mythical and it had this certain authority and majesty to it. The another shadow appeared. It slithered its way out of the ground and coiled around kage defensively. With Orochi dead he had stolen its shadow, then with the help of the dragons he buffed up orochi allowing it to kill a dragon and drag it underground. The beam was the dragon's shadow which he used to kill another dragon, then using the shadow of the second dead dragon he upgraded his two new shadows. The rider however didn't know this.
"I see, you're also a summoner." The rider smiled as the three dragons charged up a combination beam and fired. Kage's dragon simply walked over him and took the whole attack. While they were firing the dragons couldn't move allowing Kage's snake to pick of another one.
"You're annoying." The rider said before appearing directly in front of him. He threw a punch but Kage dodged and threw out his own fist incased in shadow which sent the rider very far back. The rider landed on his feet but before he took another step Draconivis appeared beside him and punched him in the side as he was sent flying again.
The rider landed on his feet again but when he looked around all he saw was black. He then noticed his essence start vanishing. He dashed out quickly and looked around only to see his other two dragons were gone. He looked at Kage but then he felt a sudden piercing impact in his shoulder as he started bleeding despite the attack bouncing off his armor. Paying more attention he noticed that he wasn't the one bleeding but rather it was unidentifiable blood. His shoulder was only bruised.
He forgot to look back up as Draconivis punched his head downwards slamming it into the ground. He spun around and swept Draconivis off his feet but before he could do a follow-up a large silver beam from the side blasted both of them. They were both unaffected as the rider jumped into his feet and started changing blows with Draconivis.
A new stage was set. Black smoke enveloped the two combatants. Every few seconds a small little red beam the size of a pebble would fall into the black smoke, its intended target being the rider. A few seconds after a giant silver beam would clear the smoke as everything restarted again.
The battle was getting him nowhere. As the rider tried to escape, Kage's snake enveloped the small arena as Draconivis pulled him by his chest plate and started punching him in rapid succession. Soon the rider got desperate. He was almost out of essence and the smoke's effect didn't make things better. His armor started glowing. Every punch he threw now caused an explosion. Draconivis followed suit as explosions took place in the smoke at unimaginable speeds.
After some time the desperation got to the rider. His armor was already starting to fade and his attacks we're getting weaker. He had slowed down drastically and it looked like he was getting tired.
He made a final attempt at escape. Using all the essence he had left his armor started glowing a pristine gold as the essence covered the little area he was fighting at.
Boom!!!
An explosion occurred as the place got cleared up. He was practically crawling away from Draconivis as it started walking towards him. He knew what was coming but he couldn't accept it. He wouldn't accept his death. He got up onto his feet and started walking slowly towards Draconivis. He would not go out a coward. He would die a warrior.
He came face to face with Draconivis as they both looked at each other. Draconivis threw a punch which was too fast for him to see. He kept his eyes open, lifted his arm and threw a punch of his own. Suddenly, he appeared in front of a scrawny silver haired boy. The boy wasted no time in blasting him with an essence burst. The rider was dead.
